When a little girl, all alone in the big bad woods, lets it slip that she's on her way to visit her sick gran, I can't help but take advantage. Don't judge me. I'm hungry and let's be real... What tastes better than a meal that doesn't struggle—much.
Little do I know, my blood-thirsty plot is about to be foiled by a set of five werewolves that have decided to eat gran, take her place, and eat the little girl! I wish I had thought of that last bit myself.
The worst part is that I have been a lone vampire for years now so I have no one to watch my back. I am just easy prey to them and their beastly desires. If I can't escape, I just may become victim to those desires and they are more than willing to huff and puff and blow my resolve away.

Jewels has thousands of story ideas always flowing through her brain and she can't wait to share them all with her readers. One thing is for sure, they will all feature steam, smut, and swoons.
3.5 Stars Sometimes even werewolf men need a woman’s touch. While out searching for her next meal, vampire Geniveve gets caught by a pack of werewolves after they’ve killed and started eating little red’s grandmother. Taken back to there lair as a prisoner Geniveve slowly wins over each guy but the alpha who is stubborn, rude and just a big old grump. I will say between his attitude and the fact that they have a literal room of rotting corpses I was not completely won over by this book. It certainly had it moments and on one hand I do appreciate how the author didn’t try to prettify their savage nature, I just can’t get over how putrid that must be for her given her supremely enhanced smell. This was a very quick read with a HEA, I just wish I connected with the characters more and that the end was not so rushed.
Delicously twisted take on Red Ridinghood with pleanty of smutt and steam. Lonely Vampire and her four bid bad wolves! I love teh way Jewels manages to get such distinct personalities even within a stand alone and creates a wonderful storey with a HEA ending that still has so many twists and turns that it doesnt feel like a stad alone.
A Dark, adult somewhat take on red riding hood. Well at least the beginning of the book starts out that way then veers off into a world of Vampires and Werewolves. Only in this book Vampire - Genivere gers captured by thirsty Werewolves- Draco, Bran, Xander, Quillon and Dyrk who have their own way of torturing her. With plenty of very steamy scenarios! I really liked this book. The dynamic between Genivere and the guys. It was hot but also caring too. Yes they were rough and ready but also full of their own anxieties too. Which was endearing I thought. Forbidden was a great read
OMG so good! I love red ridding good and this new version is just so yummy! I loved all about it. The plot is verry well written and very interesting. I love our monsters! The FMC is very likeble. Another great book but these amazing author, Jewels Arthur.
That was...not what I was expecting at all. I almost stopped reading a few times. These characters are no heros. They're not even the sexy psycho monsters that we all love to read about sometimes. These are true B grade horror film level monsters, complete with munching on humans.
But I still kind of...liked it? After I got past the lack of human morals and how uncomfortably closely they toed the line of beastiality...it was kind of sweet? I mean what girl doesn't want c$#trated humans as gifts right?! Okay, it was a weird book and I'm not sure why I liked it, but I'm already planning on reading the next one in the series so I guess I recommend it.
paper thin plot and characters, action with each of the wolfguys that was blah. I thought this would be super hot and instead it was lukewarm not even boiling.
Before I read this I couldn't figure out how it had so many good reviews. It's a little counterintuitive, but I understand now. Put simply, this is objectively bad. But in the absolute best way!
Years ago, before the time constraints of children, my now-husband and I used to do something called Good Wine/Bad Movie night. One of us would pick up a good bottle of wine (Mind you, we were young and broke. So, our idea of 'good wine' was probably suspect.) and the other would pick out a bad movie. The idea was that the more you drank the better the movie got. We watched a lot of B-grade sci-fi and questionable anime. But, my goodness, did we have fun with it.
If it were a movie, Forbidden would be a prime contender. It is bad. It's 'staying up until 2am covered in Cheetos dust and cheap wine with your best friend' bad. It's cringe at the dialogue and sudden, inexplicable changes in character attitudes bad. It's porn with minimal plot bad. But it's not trying to be anything else. Which means you can laugh with it, instead of at it, and bask in its badness. I just had a ton of fun with it and will absolutely try the rest of the series.
So if you have not read a book by Jewels Arthur then you are missing out. This one is a new series and it caught me off guard. I think it was that the descriptions of the characters that were monsters. I mean this was truly a monster book but we get to see a different side of things. When I started reading this book I was like oh yeah a red riding hood fable rh style but that quickly changed. Then I was like oh my what is going on. Needless to say that I was sucked in because I wanted to know what was going on because of the initial twist. Vampires and wolves who are not suppose to be together, are enemies what could go wrong. I gotta say that these monsters sure as heck know how to give a good smexy time. Feelings come into play and this could be dangerous. However when love strikes you cannot deny it. So will they get a happily ever after? Don't miss out on this amazing story, trust me once you start you will not want to stop.
“Yasss!!! This story was absolutely fantastic. I’m so in love with monster romances and Jewel’s book was phenomenal!! It started a little weird that’s for sure but hey it was like an adult retelling of Red Riding Hood. It was a hot and spicy romance between a vampire and her werewolves. The dynamic between Genivere and the ‘guys’ was different and unique. They all had their own tastes and personalities so slowly they all manage to combine them with Genevieve. Though one of them resisted until the very end ultimately all of them fall for her. Not enough words to express how sweet it was seeing *not telling him* push his feelings trying to deny them but when its meant to be you can’t scape. You need to be prepared for the ‘monster love as beasts’ over the top H*T. It was delicious and no I don’t feel guilty for liking it lol. The only thing that wasn’t so lovely was the slang? I don’t even know how to explain but there were some parts I wasn’t even sure what they were saying. Was it just me? No idea but I could have finished this book faster if it wasn’t for that.”
I love these werewolves! They're so sweet and ferocious at the same time (but not to their vamp, never to her). Quillon is my favourite. He is just so adorable! Followed by Draco, the dirty charmer and Xander, the book nerd after my own heart. Bran and Dyrk are great too. Even though this is a standalone, I'm holding out hope that they'll pop up in the other books in this series too.
I'm not usually a fan of the fairy tale remix thing, but I am a fan of Jewels Arthur so I happily gave this one a chance and I am so glad that I did because this story was fan-freakin-tastic! If you're like me, ignore the fairy tale aspect and just read this story already! It has great characters and a story that had me attached to the Kindle, even when I was supposed to be doing more important life things. Geniveve is great FLC who has spunk and strong POV. And a love any time I get to read a bout great werewolves and vampires in the same story.
This is a new twist on a favorite fairy tale of mine. One that is definitely not the same as what I grew up reading. It will definitely get the blood pumping though. In true fashion you will be thoroughly entertained and enjoy every minute of it.
This was definitely a new one for me. I’ve never been into the monster stories but I was excited to read this one. Not only because it was from Jewels but because it is a dark twisted version of Red Riding Hood, one of my absolute favorites. Yeah I got hooked from the beginning. The guys don’t fall from the beginning and that just intrigued me more. I loved the way the werewolves didn’t change and stayed “beasts”. Another great from our Jewels!
New take on Red Riding Hood...but who needs that when you have a vamp and her big bad wolfs. This was an enjoyable read that started off featuring 'Red' but quickly changed into loving the big bad wolfs.
Genevieve finds herself in a predicament but one she starts to like despite everything. The men are HOT, each one has a different personality that you love....even the one who is stupidly standoffish. We still like him too.
This is something I didn't think I would like but wow I loved this book. Genvieve and her 5 wolf's are wild for each other. This is a book to read. Draco was so intense sexual but loved his character. I think Bran was my favorite wolf but all her wolves were wonderful.
Cool take on Little Red Riding Hood. Camps and werewolves collide in this dark fairytale. Steamy and full of drama. And they get their HEA in the end. Highly recommend this stand-alone novel.
This was the kind of book you just can't put down, I read it within an hour. It's a very interesting spin on Little Red Riding Hood, Geniveve is a vampire she follows a little girl into the woods to her grandmother's house intending on feeding from her but when she gets their she is greeted by 5 wolves. They plan on killing her when instead an interesting turn of events happens (I won't say what cause it will spoil it) Their are some surprise moments. Their's lots of steam and an overall really great book and I am glad that Geniveve and the guys get a happily ever after.
Loved this book. It starts out running. There is steam right away in this book. Not for the faint of heart.
This is a bit of a retelling of Little Red Riding hood. Geniveve is a vampire. She is alone and hunting. She follows a young girl in the forest to her grandmothers house. She plans to eat the grandma. Too bad, the wolves are already there. Grandma is dead. The wolves capture her. They take her back to her den. One of them decides to ravish her there. She enjoys it. They keep her prisoner and she starts to fall into bed with each of them. They slowly start to fall in love with each other.
Oh these wolves are fantastic!! I normally get frustrated reading the super alpha gruff characters but Dyrk had my whole heart by the end. This book was filled with all the steamy scenes you expect from Jewels, leveled up with stunning monsters!
Forbidden was great!! It is quirky and definitely different from most of the books I've read in this genre. Once I started reading this book I couldn't stop reading it and was sad when I finished!! First off these werewolves dont change into humans they are always in their wolf state which definitely makes things interesting but also fun 💗 I also liked the fact that all the "guys" didnt fall for her right away which also makes it a bit different than most books!! The plot was well written and I loved how the characters personalities all fit together. I also loved their differences and how they all ended up loving Genevieve in their own way(though I'd have to say Bran and Xander are definitely my favorites!!) Overall this was a great book and I cant wait to read her next one!!
I love monster books and as a huge fan of the werewolves in the movie, Van Helsing, this was great!
I enjoyed the world building in this book with all the different species. It was great that it was acknowledged that she was a vampire and they were wolves and it was frowned upon but the heart wants what the heart wants. I really loved that Geniveve was like the missing puzzle piece for each of the wolves for a different reason that was unique to each of them.
I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone who loves really steamy monster books!
Geniveve did not expect to run in five werewolves. All she wanted was something eat, and granny seemed like a better target. But she didn't see being taken by five werewolves. Vampires and werewolves aren't suppose to mix but fate had other plans.
