It was truly serendipity when recent college graduate Kylie Stafford learned her internship had fallen through, her boyfriend dumped her and she decided to do the wrong thing for awhile, all on the same day. Rock star Cam Watson just happened to be in her path when she made that decision and he changed everything.

Kylie's infectious personality is a bit captivating and she's smart, resourceful and fun to be around. Her decision to tour with Cam's band for the next month might seem impulsive but it was the best match for her love life and career. Don't let her age fool you into thinking this is a typical New Adult offering...no drama and angst here.

There are some very strong themes that resonate in this story (following your own path, seizing the moment, knowing your own heart and mind) and they're wrapped around Kylie and Cam in their romance and career choices. They make for some really heated moments (both the steamy and steamed) that spice up the story.

The band is pretty tame in comparison to others I've read but the vibe feels true. Cam is the leader and primary songwriter and Kylie certainly earns her role as his muse. This was a fun and flirty story grounded in serious issues and dilemmas. It's short but isn't rushed in its storytelling. I really enjoyed it and am curious as to what comes next.

Kylie Stafford just graduated from Northwestern University and had the ideal post graduation job lined up that fit perfectly with her well laid out plans. Mind you, these are the plans that have been expected of her by her family; so when everything beings to fall apart, Kylie decides to start making her own decisions. However, she’s going to try a new approach. Instead of doing the right thing, what everyone expects of her, she’s going to start doing the opposite of right to see if she can add some excitement in her life.

That’s where the fun begins… Kylie lands a job with one of her favorite bands as a goodie girl selling their swag. That’s not all, though. Immediately the sparks start to fly between her and the lead singer Cam, which doesn’t sit well with the other band mates after his previous relationship almost cost Riptide their fame and fortune.

Overall, The Opposite of Right was a fun and quick read that falls under a category I like to indulge, which is “rock stars need love too.” I always enjoy reading about a famous lead singer getting caught up in a romance that leaves him speechless and hopelessly in love, and Cam fell perfectly into that mold. He seemed to know what he wanted, yet he never let go of that edgy bad boy side of him, which was pretty sexy and hot.

Kylie was fun to get to know. We never really experience her perfectly poised, good girl nature. The only side we see is the daring, sexy Kylie that goes after what she wants, which I can’t complain about one bit.

The Opposite of Right knows how to draw you into the story and take you for a quick and exciting adventure with two likable characters that definitely have chemistry and a clear connection. Enjoyed it much!

Copy kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

This was a really fast and easy to read story. Kylie and Cam have a whole lot of insta lust/love going on, but it doesn't take anything from the story. Kylie is trying to find her place in the world, trying to change things up by making decisions she normally wouldn't make.

When she meets Cam and gets this great opportunity, things snowball from there, and what turns out to be a "bad decision" clearly is not.

A very easy read that can be sped through in an hour or two.

Well, when Kylie decides to jump out of her cosy life and everyone else's expectations, she doesn't do it by halves.

She's all "good girl goes bad" and goes from 0-60 in about 3.2 seconds.

And I mean, who of us hasn't wished we would catch the eye of our favourite rock star?

I like Cam right from the start. I liked that he didn't go all "me rock star, you groupie" when they met -she was the one pushing for the sexy times!

At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like Kylie - however as the story progressed (which it does quickly) I liked her more.

Sweet, sexy, and fast paced, this was an enjoyable way to spend an hour or so.

Now on to the the second book.

This is the first book in a new series by Barth and it was a little different then what I am used to by her.

Kylie is having a bad day. She looses her internship, boyfriend and her apartment all after the day she graduates college. While out for drinks and to see her favorite band with her best friend she decides it's time to do the opposite of the good decisions that got to her where is now.

Cam is the lead singer of Riptide but before he walks out to perform he is asked to be kissed by a woman who is having a bad day and on top of that his goodie girl needs to go to the hospital for surgery and will be out a few weeks. He asks Kylie to step up to take her place for four weeks and she agrees but his band doesn't want him mixing business and pleasure again.

I liked that Kylie wanted to do the opposite of good decisions and make some bad ones. It showed she was daring and choosing her own path as an adult.

I felt like this book just Kylie. I didn't really see romance just a lovers story. There was no I love yous or promises of forever that you normally find in every romance book. Most of Cam and Kylie's relationship is a secret from the others in the band. I would have loved to see maybe a little more romance.

Since this was a quick read I didn't get the full effect of there relationship. I know it started at sex but then at the end Cam wants to be her boyfriend but that's the end of the story. In a way I felt a little cheated. I could see more to this story but it just wasn't there.

I did like the characters and I thought the descriptions of everything was well done. I could picture the guys and there surroundings. Although I liked this story I just didn't fall in love with it. I enjoyed that the storyline was different then other rockstar books that I have read.

I am excited to read more about the other guys in the band since everybody has a story and since meeting them in this book we didn't get to know them much.

If you like hot rockstars and a girl doing the opposite of good choices then this is the book for you. I am looking forward to reading more of this series and to see how it will all play out in the end.

I have read a couple different books by this author. They were sweet, contemporary. So, this is my first taste of what Ms. Barth delivers in the sexy romance genre. Well after reading this book, I have got to say that "Sometimes being Wrong can be so Good."

Kylie kept cracking me up with her impulsive moments and the comments that would come out of her mouth. I loved that she just let loose and went with the flow of trying to be a "bad" girl. She did not regret anything she did.

Cam on the other hand, I would not have known he was the lead singer in a band. This is a really good thing. He was not an ego-maniac. In fact, it was he that was trying to get Kylie to be a good girl. The chemistry between these two was hot, hot, hot. Yet, Ms. Barth did it right with out over powering the story. I will be checking out the next book in this trilogy.

I read book 2 before this book and got a better appreciate for the characters, but I liked book two better than this one- there was a little more action and angst. For a quick read it was a good book and I will read more from this author, especially of the books are longer.

What a cute, straight forward read. This was super entertaining and gave me pretty much everything you’d expect to read about when dealing with a contemporary rock story. Ok, well, almost everything.

Kylie is a newly graduated college student who has had the 2 months from hell. Everything has changed for her: her internship, boyfriend, even a place to live. While out with a friend, she decides that she’s done making all of the “right” decisions and is going to start making “bad” ones. Can you guess what her first bad decision was? Oh, it was kissing the lead singer of the rock band she’s been in love with forever. But she couldn’t tell it was him when she kissed him.

Cam is the lead singer of said rock band who is completely taken by Kylie and her boldness. It becomes a driving force for him, especially when he learns that she’s more than just a hot girl. She’s smart, loves music as much as he does and can TOTALLY hang with the guys.

Like I said, this is a short read (only took me a hour or so), but it left me feeling good, HEA and all.

Book 3 is coming out soon, so what better time to get caught up on the series?

The Opposite of Right was a quick, fun read. Kylie, the heroine, is having a bad day--she thinks--until she decides to throw away her good-girl-who-always-follows-the-rules persona and stumbles into every girl's dream. After all, who hasn't fantasized about meeting their favorite band? Kylie takes that a few steps further, of course, by kissing him, taking a job with the band, joining their road trip...and (ahem) a bit more.

She and Cam find their HEA in the end--Kylie's life crisis is figured out a bit easily, but that fact doesn't detract from the fluffy, fun fantasy that is this story. I'm looking forward to seeing future Kylie and Cam in the next two books in the trilogy :)

Kylie has a plan for the future, and they include an internship and her boyfriend however before the day is done she will lose both. She is tired of doing what everyone expects her to as clearly it is not working out for her so when she has a chance to tour with her favorite band it seems like the opportunity of a lifetime.

Cam is the lead singer of the band and he offers to take Kylie on tour with them as they have a temporary opening for a goodie girl, someone who sells their merchandise.

I really like these two together. There is so much more to Cam than his Rockstar persona and Kylie is finally doing what she wants without worrying about what others think.

I was given The Opposite of Right: Bad Decisions Book #1 by Christi Barth as an Advanced Readers Copy (ARC) from Give Me Book Promotions. For a new Bad Decisions Book The Other Side of Wrong: Bad Decisions Book #3 coming out on March 5, 2019 I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

WOW! First book I’ve read from Christi Barth and I’m a fan! Amazing story line, great rounded characters, loved the quick whit and the flow of the entire book.

Kylie Stafford was always doing what she was told to do until a couple of things went wrong in her life, after graduation her boyfriend broke up with her, she had no place to live and her internship was held up due to issues with the staff at the Smithsonian where she was suppose to intern at. So she decided she needed to do a little bit of bad to maybe get her life back on course. First Bad Decision she walked up and asked to kiss a stranger, while she was waiting to watch one of her favorite bands play Riptide, little did she know she was trying to kiss the lead singer Cam Watson and the sparks fly after that when she gets offered a month long job as the Goody Girl for Riptide, (selling the swag for the band) with nothing keeping here at home she jumps on it and book #1 of the Bad Decisions Series is on! Find out what happens and I’m starting on book #2, Reverse of Perfection right now!

Can’t say enough good about this book, loved it from page one to the very word!

This was a quick entertaining read. It took me a couple of pages to get into, but when I did, boy did I!

Cam is a rockstar with a heart. He has had predicaments in the past that are shaping who he is now and what the band needs to become. He is deep, gorgeous, and just wanting to be wanted for himself.
Kylie is a new graduate that seemed to have lost a lot of opportunities in the past little bit and has NO idea where she is going with her life. She was always told to do what was right and it has gotten herself no where, so she decides to do the complete opposite of what she considers "right".

I loved the premise here and about spreading wings and going through everything. Even though it was a quick read, it had a solid build up. I thought that there could have been a bit more angst, but it was not bad!

This was a unique idea, not just good girl goes bad, and I enjoyed reading it!

4 outta 5 stars from me!

Kylie Stafford has always followed the plan her family laid out for her. After the last couple of days of things falling apart, she’s on a new mission: do the opposite of what she should do. And that decision pushes her right into the arms of Cam Watson, front man for band, Riptide. A few bad decisions later, Kylie is on tour with her favorite band and her and Cam are trying to avoid their attraction to each other. Easy to read rockstar romance with the right amount of smokin’ hot and a little hint of drama.

Rockstar romance at its finest

These book really make my heart sing (literally!!). The author does a great job with the story and makes it very real. It combines your rocker, who has been burned by a girl in the past + a girl who has been devastated by change of plans + a band that has had tough times and it gives you an amazing read that will pluck every string of your heart. It drags you in and doesn’t let you go. I can’t wait to read the next book! The characters are very relatable and the quirkiness is spot on as well. Truly, well done by this author!!

A fun story. Short but sweet.
Kylie always followed the rules and did what she was told but she wanted to do something "bad" and Hot as Sin rockstar Cam definitely fit the bill.
The story that followed was fun and gave Kylie more life and music lessons then any Ivy League Education. I loved it! the "badboy" rockstar was anything but a bad or wrong decision!
Can't wait to dive into the next one. I am really like the easy face paced writing style.

Who doesn't like a fast-moving Rockstar romance?

Cam is completely lovable and swoon-worthy. Kylie is completely relatable and looking to make some bad decisions since none of the right ones have made her happy - and who can blame her? This fast-paced, steamy Rockstar adventure hits the ground running and doesn't let up. It was fun to see this romance unfold on and off the tour bus.

Definitely a recommend if you like this kind of sweet, spicy, quick romp of a romance!

If only all our bad decisions had the same outcome as Kylie's I think we would all not give a crap. Cam is the hot singer that she's crushed on for years but it seems he's the most unlikely and sexy surprise when everything else in her life has backfired. Acting like it's a no strings attached, we all know the truth. Great read but too short.

First of all, I love the dedication at the beginning of the book. I wanna be Kylie when I grow up. She took a bunch of chances on doing the "wrong" things, and they all worked out in her favor, mainly because she was finally not doing what was expected of her. She and Cam are so perfect for each other. I was worried for a while, but they figured it all out, and it's a very happy ending. First read from this author - looking forward to more.

Sweet and sexy rock star romance

I enjoyed reading this book very much. The story is very romantic and sweet. There are twists and unsaid truths. Instant connection and chemistry that is almost palpable. Sexy and hot scenes. Hero and heroine that cannot keep their hands off of each other. Great banter between those two and other characters in the book. I fell in love with the main characters and I hope to see them more in the other parts of this series.

What a fun read! The Opposite of Right by Christi Barth is the first book in her Bad Decisions Series and it was a great start. Kylie is sick of having her life planned out for her and always doing the right thing so she decides to make bad decisions to see what happens. She starts out by kissing a stranger who just happens to be famous rock god Cam Watson.

From that spontaneous backstage kiss at a rock concert, things really take a turn for Kylie. She finds herself a new job, a hottie to spend some naughty times with and she figures out what she wants to do with her life. Along the way she just so happens to find love.

When I first started reading The Opposite of Right, Kylie was a little awkward to me and I couldn’t get a feel for her. About 1/4 of the way into it, though, I found myself really engaged in her story. Kylie is smart, witty, fun, unique and I found myself pulling for her.

Then there is Cam. Holy smokes. He is a hot, good boy rocker. He is awesomely genuine, sweet, responsible and sometimes can make bad decisions, unintentionally, which shows his vulnerable side. I fell in love with him from the beginning and I would give just about anything to hear him sing.

The other two main band members, Jake and Jones have been best friends with Cam for a long time. You see that through their interactions both on stage and off. Sometimes they are jabbing fun at one another and other times they have some heated discussions. I really, really want to know more about them.

The romance between Cam and Kylie built up at a nice pace for a novella. They had amazing chemistry and just an easy way with each other. Their friendship starts out light and continues on until there are deeper feelings. In addition to the playful scenes there are some sexy intimate scenes that show they are very compatible physically as well.

Novellas with brand new characters can be tricky because there isn’t a lot of time to build up a plot with well developed characters, but Barth does a fantastic job with The Opposite of Right. She is able to engage the reader from the beginning and while we didn’t get to witness everything that happened between the characters, the connections between the scenes were smooth. Almost as if it had the feel of a longer story. If you are looking for a short, playful contemporary romance, I recommend you give The Opposite of Right a try. My first thought when I finished this book was, “I want more.”

The Opposite of Right by Christi Barth is the 1st book in her new Bad Decisions series. I always enjoy Christi’s writing, as she does sweet sexy romances, with fun stories. The Opposite of Right is no different. I really enjoyed reading this book, as well as the characters.

Kylie Stafford is our heroine, and a fun, smart and savvy one she is. Kylie is coming off one of the worst days of young life. Having just graduated, she loses her internship, her boyfriend and her apartment. While sitting at a bar with her friend, she decides that after always being the girl who does the right thing, it was time to try to do the wrong thing. She sees a hot looking man standing near the bar, and decides it was time to do the “wrong” thing, by kissing the stranger. What Kylie did not know was that the man she just kissed was the lead singer of the rock band Riptide.

Cam Watson is our hero, and he is shocked when the pretty young girl asks for a kiss. Cam could tell she had no idea who he was, though she later tells him she was at the bar to see her favorite band, Riptide. Cam is immediately attracted to Kylie, as he senses she is different than the groupies who follow them. When his goodie girl has to go in the hospital for surgery, Cam when he learns about Kylie’s bad daty, decides to ask her if she would help the band out for 4 weeks, taking orders, and manning the tables.

What follows is a slow to build sweet romance, that starts off with Kylie and Cam being friends with benefits. Their chemistry was very hot, and I loved them together. Cam finds himself falling hard for Kylie, but isn’t sure his wild life style is for her. Kyle also does not think anything will come of their relationship, and needs to concentrate on finding herself a job when this temporary job is finished. Cam was such a wonderful character, despite his wild life style. He was so sweet and caring to Kylie, not to mention very very sexy. Kylie was a fun character, who enjoyed her naughtiness in spending time with her rock star and the band. Is there any hope of a future for Cam & Kylie?

I also enjoyed the other main characters, Cam’s two bandmates and Kylie’s best friend. A perfect group of characters for Christi to use in the future stories. The Opposite of Right was a fun, sexy, and quick read that I really enjoyed. I know you will love it too.

Cute, Quick Read

In the Opposite of Right, Christi Barth gives her readers a cute and sexy little ditty about changing the course of your life and hoping for the best.
We meet Kylie and Cam, both on the brink of something big. Him, trying to make his Rockstar comeback and her, trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life now that she's freshly graduated from Northwestern. These worlds collide and it's a crap shoot from here on out.
I liked Kylie and Cam instantly. They had good chemistry and her bad decisions idea was a new spin on an already done story line. It’s obvious what’s going to happen in the book with these crazy kids after we get more backstory, but Christi Bath did a nice job at making it their own.
While I'm not a fan of insta-love, I did get it this time and it worked. Cam and Kylie toed the line between less love and more lust, which was good because the book only spans two weeks or so. With all of Kylie's "bad decisions" still in place, including a doozy at the end, it will be interesting to see where she ends up next.

Thanks so much to the author Christi Barth for the the book in exchange for a honest review.

If you felt like every decision you've made your entire life was for nothing wouldn't you want to go to the opposite side and just let things flow naturally without thinking so hard. Kylie has been the 'good' girl for her whole life. She went to the right school, studied the right thing and dated the right guys, but here she is the day after graduation and everything is gone, no boyfriend and no job. Now she's going to do 'bad' things. Not like robbing stores or anything that bad but she's going to do things that feel good to her but may be not what her mom or dad would approve of. That includes going up to a tattooed stranger and making out with him.

This is a short novella and so with that I don't want to give much away. I loved it though, when I started reading it I didn't put it down until I was done. I even emailed the author and told her how much I loved it. Kylie isn't the stereotypical sorority girl, shes smart and thoughtful. Not that all sorority girls are stupid, that's not what I'm saying. Sometimes they are portrayed as ditzy and blond. Kylie is sassy and stands up for what she wants and it was refreshing to see a girl not afraid to take what she wants sexually. Also can we talk about Cam for a minute, because good lord was he hot. He was in to Kylie because she saw him as him not a rock star.. Sure she did know who he was but she didn't when she walked up to him and asked him to make out. You'll want to read this book, its awesome and I hope we get more stories about Cam's bandmates or Kylies friends. Just sayin! Leave the author love in the form of a review.
