I was bought to be a pretty pawn in my alien captors’ twisted entertainment. But the gorgeous, horned alien who saves me from death is no pawn—and he’s determined to beat the hunt. But is he rescuing me or claiming me as his prize?
Lia: As if being abducted by space slavers wasn’t bad enough, I’m sold to a species of aliens in need of extras for their immersive entertainment moons, where their privileged citizens can hunt or battle or bed us at their leisure. When I’m separated from my crew and dropped into a lush alien jungle, I have no idea which fantasy moon I’m on—until the first arrow nearly impales me.
The alien who saves me and kills my attacker isn’t one of them. He’s a Taori who crash-landed on the moon and is now part of the life-or-death game. Massive and menacing with horns, a tail, and dark ink covering every bit of exposed flesh, Torst eyes me with an undeniable hunger that scares me almost as much as the aliens hunting us. But if I want to survive, my only chance is to accept his protection.
Torst: The last thing I need to worry about as I attempt to stay alive and find my fellow Taori warriors is a human female, but once I save Lia from a deadly attack, she is mine to protect. I’m trained to kill and to defend, and I will need to do both if I’m to safeguard the small, alluring creature and survive the aliens’ hunt.
If only I didn’t have to worry about my species’ mating fever curse and the strange stirrings within me. Soon I’ll be battling more than the alien hunters. I’ll be fighting off the uncontrollable urge to claim Lia as my mate—whether she wants to be mine or not.
SUBMIT is a full-length sci-fi romance novel with an HEA and no cheating. It features hot scenes on a hunting moon, violent alien battles, and some seriously steamy forced proximity scenes.
If you like alien abduction romance (as well as dominant and dangerous alien warriors with horns, tails, and bonus parts), you’ll love SUBMIT, the first book in Tana Stone’s sci-fi romance The Sky Clan of the Taori series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but you’ll enjoy them more if you read them in sequence.
I love sexy aliens and independent heroines. I grew up on Star Trek: Next Generation and Star Wars (and I adore them equally). My favorite superhero is Thor (with Aquaman a close second because, well, Jason Momoa), my favorite dessert is key lime pie (okay, fine, all pie), and I still lament the loss of Firefly.
I live in North Carolina in the US and have one husband, two teenagers, and two neurotic cats. I sometimes wish I could teleport to a holographic space station like the one in my tribute brides series (or maybe vacation at the oasis with the sand planet barbarians). :-) When I'm not writing, I love to paddleboard, dive, travel, and read obsessively!

The Hero:Torst - He is a warrior from the sky clan of the immortal army of the Taori. They are on a journey across the sky to pursue their enemy. Though right now they are trying to help with the mating fever that has one of their brothers in its thrall. They are trying to either find a cure or find a hedonistic planet with compatible females so their brother can find a mate. He once had been promised to a Taori female who has been gone for a very long time.
The heroine:Lia - She works for the security force on a transport ship and is abducted by alien pirates and sold to a species of Elite aliens who make money from games with live sentient beings. They have different games on different moons and their customers pay for the privilege of either hunting them, bedding them or watching them in gladiator type battles to the death. Lia is left on a moon without knowing what is in store for her until she is nearly killed. It looks like she is the wild game in a hunt and has to run for her life.
The Story: The Taori ship is pulled into an energy vortex which turns out to be some sort of anomalous temporal wormhole. They exit the vortex and find they are in another galaxy. They end up 500 years in the future, near a planet with called Chulawn with three inhabitable moons which they know nothing about. Since they came out in the future, they were all in danger of going into mating fever at any time. They were hit by missiles and had to get on the escape pods, they ended up landing on the moons, all the pods were scattered while their battleship exploded.
I really liked this story. There was action, adventure, danger and a journey, in addition to a bunch of chemistry and a mating fever. The characters were both strong and tough and willing to fight for themselves and others. I would listen to the rest of this series, if the audiobooks were longer. I generally won’t pay for audiobooks that are only 4-6 hours. I got this one at a cheaper price because I had the kindle edition. Though if Tana Stone ever puts more of her books together into an audiobook set, I will definitely buy more.
This book is told in dual points of view via duet narration and is narrated by Aubrey Vincent and Marcio Catalano. Marcio has a deep pleasant voice which worked well for the huge male alien. Aubrey has a clear voice and she is good at showing emotion through her voice. She does well as Lia, who is a great character. I love that when she swears, she says Duck instead of something else.
I always love writing about a new species of aliens, and the Taori were a lot of fun with their tails, horns, and ancient culture steeped in lore. I hope you enjoy them!
Torst is chief of security aboard the sky ship he’s one of the immortal army of Taori a race of aliens journeying through space in pursuit of their enemies. Their current mission though is to find a female for their comrade's mating fever an affliction that affects their species once every ten Astro years. When they are pulled through a wormhole they find themselves not only in another galaxy but propelled five hundred Astro years into the future. It also accelerates the fever in himself and his shipmates.
Appearing in the Xulonian’s airspace a species of cloistered xenophobic aliens they are attacked and their ship destroyed. Taking an escape pod which crashes on one of the planet's three moons Torst now finds himself in the grip of the fever and the small human female he encounters smells so good. Determined to protect her and also keep her safe not only from the hunters pursuing her but from himself and his own urges Torst struggles fearful of losing control but with the danger escalating their close proximity and eventual surrender is inevitable.
Lia is an officer of the Empire when her ship is boarded by slavers she finds herself and her fellow females kidnapped and sold to the Xulonians for sport on one of their Leisure moons. Dumped in the jungle as prey to be hunted Lia is surprised to encounter aid in the form of Torst. Joining forces the two conspire not only to escape their pursuers but actually turn the tables on them.
This had an interesting concept and the writing was good. The plot was slightly predictable and there are no great surprises here but it was an easy quick read with likeable characters. The romance is quite insta but there was enough action to offset this and this had quite a fast pace setting things up for the next book in the series.
I liked that Lia was portrayed as a capable female and that Torst despite his Alpha protectiveness didn’t try to smother this allowing Lia to participate in her own liberation even whilst wanting to lock her up tight. The intimate scenes were definitely hot but the chemistry didn’t feel completely authentic to me. Still, this was enjoyable enough and the ideas were definitely imaginative it also sets things up here for the next book. Overall I found this an ok read with a sweet romance and it did have some imaginative ideas though I don’t think I’ll be carrying on further with the series.
This one didn’t even come close to working for me.
It wasn’t a case of 1 TSTL character, but BOTH MC’s 😳
“I serve as the chief of security on a Taori battleship. You told me you are a security officer on a transport ship. I outrank you, female.”
Paper pusher and rent-a-cop. 🥸🤭🫡
Thinking of them this way was the only way I could keep my sense of humour, and not just be pissed and hating.
The author introduces them both as capable, strong, trained, etc.
Then the MMC kills an enemy and takes his weapon. YaY Charges after the women to rescue them. Uses all his arrows in the rescue of one of them, but kills all the baddies. YaY.
Then BOTH walk off, [past, over, however, all the dead bodies], neither stopping to search for the weapons the baddies would have had on them. As they get further away, they discuss their lack of weapons and what it means. 😳😵 HuH? They don’t even bother to grab an arrow or two, which could at least be a mini spear, blade..
Our, oh so well trained female, plays the helpless idiot, not knowing even the minimal in self defence [she could at least scratch and bite, even if she’s too helpless to kick, elbow, or stomp.. 🤬🙄😮💨].
They have arguments in loud voices while on the run from baddies. They stop to have a political discussion while on a stealth mission in an escape attempt.
He spouts off pretty and cheesy warrior poetry, but fails on almost evey level of the practical [interrogation, information gathering, stealth (he talked to himself out loud while in unknown, hostile territory [they both did, but he’s supposed to be a super soldier])] .
Both are eager to run head first into situations guaranteed to kill them when better options exist.
The list goes on. I ended up skipping quite a bit in order to finish.
Bring it on. Memories of the Vandar! Any alien with a tail has my vote 🥰 A great start to another series by Tana Stone. Guessing this series is going to be as good as the others. This series is a spinoff from the Drexian series. Great storyline, plenty of action, great characters.
I love Torst! And I can't wait to get my hands on Daiken! But first things first, amazing book lots of action, new bad guys, new good guys, and the Taori... OMG, they are so good, I want One for me! The plot is very good and I'm really looking forward as to see how things Will go with the other crew menbers os the Imperial vessel and also the Taori. A must read!
When a people become so depraved they will do anything to entertain their dark pleasures, a group of humans and other beings must join together to and fight to survive against the Xulonians. A cruel race who pay others to bring beings to their three moons, to become prey for hunters, sex slaves for deviants or pawns in games as the elite Xulonians pay to send their avatars to be part of the hunt or watch as the captives are ravaged and killed. Lia was a security officer protecting an imperial transport of scientists when they were attacked and boarded by pirates, intent on capturing the females to sell to the Xulonians for their pleasure. But left on a world to be hunted Lia would not be taken so easily. She would fight to the death. But first she had to get one of charges, a scientist named Valeria into shelter away from the hunters. Food and water came first, then could look for ways to free them from this hellish world. Torst, was Taorian, his people were warriors on the hunt for those who had devastated his world and killed his intended mate. But they had to deviate from their mission when one of their crew mates fell under age old curse. His people suffered from a mating curse that caused them to burn for a a female, go crazy in a short time if one can not be found and finally become a monster. Sidetracked in search of a pleasure world for Daiken, suffering from the mating fever, when they were drawn hundreds of years into the future right into the path of the Xulonian world. Many escaped from the burning ship in escape pods, but is it only Torst who lands on the hunting moon with Lia and Val? Torst is in hopes that at least one other of his people followed him down to the moon. Torst and Lia will struggle to come together to fight off the Xulonian avatars and find Val when she goes missing. In their search they find other beings, survivors of past enslavement. But when Torst, realizes the their travel through time has sped up his mating fever will Lia be able to bring herself to help him? There is action, terror, death and steamy romance to be found here. Along with a story that drew me in, even as it left questions that were only answered in part. I found the characters to be ones I could follow, the storyline interesting, with not all the problems solved by the end. If you don’t mind romance among the stars with mixed species, and some gritty sex scenes the storyline s a quick read that didn’t have to drag me along. I was with them all the way, in others words the angst wasn’t killing me. It also made me curious to learn more about the stories behind these people and their worlds, as well as what happened to others on the transport and battleship and what will happen.
DNF - quit at 28% Ugh! I’m all for female badasses for heroines, but this was not one. She is shallow & was just TSTL, snarking off, when she has no weapon, & it’s going to be dark in an unknown jungle with enemies “hunting” for her & God knows what else is in the jungle in the dark, or could cause her to get injured, cause she thinks she’s better than the huge ass alien warrior who does have a weapon & has shown he’s better adapted to survive already by saving her ass from a group of hunters with weapons, then I just lost interest in the story. Since she’s had military training just makes this more of a joke making me not want to continue. There’s no character development by the point I quit to entice me either. I’m about to give up on alien romance, I run into more bad ones than good, and I hate stumbling onto all the many duds for an occasional good one. Ruby Dixon’s books got me into the alien romance, maybe I should only read her books.
At my age (60), life is way too short & my time is too important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.
I liked the characters and the world-building, but the action and final escape were a little too easy with characters just conveniently having the right skills at the right time. I enjoyed the smut scenes, but the insta-lust and insta-love were a bit too unbelievable for me.
I'm undecided if I want to continue with any further books in the series, but they appear to be standalones, so it would be easy to pick up again in the future.
I really wanted to like this book more. I liked the concept, very deep space nine and all, but I just couldn't love it. It was kind of hard to read either because of the made up words or the typo's, or a combination of both. I didn't hate it though, I just didn't love it. Also, I didn't like it enough to want to read the next in the series. Maybe it's just me.
Wow! I always like Tana Stone's novels but this one is absolutely fantastic! It's full of intrigue, action, cool aliens and what a sexy romance! These Taori are to die for!
SUBMIT book one of The Sky Clan of the Taori spinoff series by Tana Stone is an alien science-fiction story. We first learned of the Taori, specifically Torst, when he and his clan helped the Drexian warriors fight off the dangerous and destructive Sythian swarm. The Taori crew members and their ship were then sucked into a wormhole which spit them out five hundred years into the future. Fired upon and destroyed by the Xulonians, a few of the Taori suvived the attack by landing on the Moorla moons in escape pods. Meanwhile, Lia’s imperial ship is attacked by Hettite slavers. Only the women are kept alive and sold to the Xulonians to be divided among the Moorla moons for the entertainment of the Xulon people. Lia and Torst band together to survive and to help Torst with his fever affliction called the Quaibyn, which occurs once every ten astro-years. Though a dominant alien, Torst speaks the “language of love,” so readers cannot help but adore him, and so does Lia. She is his mate, and he is her love. The characters are well-developed, the action scenes are exciting, and the HEA is inevitable. These two strong individuals (both security officers) keep booklovers entertained until the very end, and if sci-fi stories of honorable aliens is a preference, this book is not to be missed.
I was really impressed by this suspenseful Sci-Fi alien romance (This is the first book in the series “The Sky Clan of the Taori” but it can easily be read as a standalone) The plot has good world building and is full of exciting drama filled with jaw-dropping situations & events that are well-described. The characters are realistically flawed to a certain degree & are at times quite dangerous, one of the main characters (Torst) is actually a protective alpha alien Taori warrior with a complex personality that later displays a single-minded determination to obtain what he desires most while the other main character (a human female, Lia) is understandably confused and starts off being rather insecure in a totally new, hostile environment but they both continues to develop throughout the storyline to become a forceful couple. There is outstanding support from the secondary characters. There is: various kind of aliens, slavers, despicable Xulonian hunters, vile mercenaries, drama, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, secrets, abduction, adventure, heart-pounding action, evil intentions, danger, threats, enemies, attacks, conflict, life & death situations, murder, injuries, vengeful feelings, obsession, mates, love, steamy scenes and a happy conclusion for this couple with a interesting epilogue that could be paving the way for the next book in the series. I am definitely looking forward to the next book in this series & would recommend this book.
another terrific start to a brand new series a spin off of the drexian warriors. the taori are long lived and highly honourable fighting to rid the world of the scourge never expecting to meet their fated mates their lives are only duty. then suddenly they are thrust into a new world where things are not the same, aliens buy slaves to use for sport and entertainment putting the slaves a mix of species in highly dangerous environments. throw in meeting a human and fated mate at same time as fighting for their lives in hostile situations this book starts off with a bang of excitement, danger, suspense, many emotions, friendship, camaraderie, partnership, lust and so much more. the new world also thrusts the taori into their mating fever ahead of schedule so they have to deal with losing their minds and possibly going mad while trying to survive. talk about facing challenges. terrific world building with very detailed descriptions of ppl and places and happenings. a fantastic start to an exciting new series with the high level of writing i've come to expect from tana stone and she didn't disappoint. I received an arc of this book and this is my honest voluntary review.
This story starts a new series by Tana Stone. I love the characters depicted - Torst a Taori warrior and Lia a human. Torst is on a spaceship whose mission is searching the stars for compatible females to help cure their mating madness. Daiken one of their crew is infected. Then a wormhole appears and sucks them into the future. Their ship is attacked and destroyed by the Xulon, and they flee using the space pods. Torst's pod falls toward the moon. Lia is on a transport ship to a new colony when it's attacked by Hettite slavers. The slavers rounded all the women and sold them to the Xulon for their games. Lia and the rest of the women must learn to survive. Lia is dropped on their lust jungle moon. The world building, the chemistry between Lia and Torst, the action of surviving their ordeal made this an engaging story that kept me interested to the end. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this series. I volunteer to read and review this ARC that I received via Booksprout.
This was an exciting and thrilling story about Lia and Torst. Lia is human and Torst is Taori and is entering his mating fever. Lia was taken and placed on the Hunters moon in the Xulonian galaxy where Xulonian’s hunt for sport and Torst’s ship was shot down when it entered Xulonian airspace. Now they must survive and find a way to escape the moon and alert the Empire about what is happening in this galaxy and plan to rescue the others captured and placed on the other moons in the galaxy. This is a full of action and hot steamy moments between Lia and Torst and the discovery of being mates and aiming for their happily ever after. But there is more, the book ends with Val and Daiken still on the Hunters moon.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.
OMG…remember the Taori ship that disappeared….this is them. Soooo, I don’t want to give too much away, but I was like wait, what the…for real? And, oh yeah it was definitely very real, and fantastic. Torst finds himself on a hunting moon, um yeah it’s exactly what you think. People pay to hunt people on this moon. I know wtaf you say, I said the same thing. I also forgot to mention that his mating fever starts, so he is having even more fun *shakes head*, yup sh*t gets pretty real pretty fast after their ship disappears. Here’s the good news, they are still total badasses here too. Thank f*ck, am I right. Oh, and he meets…ok, he saves a girl that ends up being his mate.
Safe read with a sweet dirty talker that is bringing the heat, making these two steamy af. I absolutely love the Taori, and am super excited they are getting their own series. And it did not disappoint, great storyline, and I cannot wait for the next book. And I loved everyone they met too, so ready for book 2. An epilogue, and hea.
I downloaded this book in hope of finding a new sci-fi romance author and the ‘no cheating, HEA’ disclaimer got me. So imagine my disappointment in readying a book about a dead finance and alien planet brothels. This guy spoke about the pain of losing his first mate until the end of the book. You get sub par male leads in your ‘normal’ romance books that it sucks to see the same thing done here but this dude just happens to have horns. Lead female wasn’t so great either.
The Sky Clan of the Taori is an alien romance series that follows the immortal army of Taori. A Taori is an alien species plagued with a mating fever called the Quaibyn that takes place every 10 years. If the fever goes unquenched, the Taori goes insane, becoming Sythians, which is the very plaque that the brothers of the sky clan are hunting. The Taori are horned aliens with the skin tone of humans, but covered in dark tribal-lil tattoos that detail their destinies. They have dark hair, colored eyes, ram-like horns and tails. They turn into Sythians when they go crazy from the Quaibyn, which are dragon-like creatures. At least, I think they do, if I read the details correctly. It was rather confusing. Anyway, the sky clan winds up flying through a time portal in space that puts them four hundred years into the future in Earth’s galaxy. Their ship is attacked and blown from the sky by a species called the Xulonians. The Xulonians are a weak, paranoid species that avoids interaction with other species, secluding themselves to their dying planet. They mined their own planet until it became unable to sustain a pleasant life, and the wealthiest of their species escape by the means of entertainment. Most of the Taori boarded escape pods and fled the destruction of their ship, landing on the planet of Xulon and its special Moorla moons, which were pleasure moons for the purpose of entertainment. During this futuristic timeline, Hettite slavers overtake an Empire ship that held several humans of the empire, most scientists, killing all the men and taking the women hostage. The Hettite sold the female humans to the Xulonians, who placed the humans onto their Moorla moons. This series covers the survival of these female humans and male Taoris as they fight for survival on these moons.
Submit is book one of the series, and follows a Taori alien named Torst who was the security chief of his sky clan and his human counterpart Lia, who was also a security officer for the Empire ship, both of which landed on the hunting Moorla moon, where the Xulonians used avatars to hunt weak prey. They find each other and band together for survival. Along the way, it became clear that the anomaly the Taori flew through sped up the effects of the Quaibyn, forcing his mating fever to take hold. The two stumbled across other survivors of the planet that had taken refuge in the underground tunnels of the moon. Lia cures Torst’s Quaibyn in exchange for him saving her life and being the key to escaping the hunting moon, which locked the two together on an emotional level. They team up with the group of survivors and formulate a plan of escape. They discover another human survivor and Taori along the journey, but get separated from both before they are able to successfully escape with a stolen Xulonian space craft.
Torst and Lia develop a strong bond and feelings for each other along the journey, ultimately falling in love. There was a lot of adventure in this book, almost too much for that matter, and they take turns saving each other’s lives. Once you get through the non-stop adventure and make it to the romance scenes, they’re every bit of fire one would hope for. There was too much buildup to them finally getting it on, but I found it worth the wait. I had put this book down and read others about 1/4 of the way through because the story line was complicated and it took too long to get to the good stuff. Once I finally got around to picking the book up again, I wasn’t disappointed. I guess it would be difficult to pick up a book and get immediately into the sex scenes, because what’s sex without a romantic buildup? But Grace Goodwin ruined me for all other romance novels. Lol.
I recommend the read, if this is your cup of tea. Now that I’ve invested my time into the plot, I will undoubtedly read the following books in this series. I have yet to read the Drixonian books that precedes this series as I stumbled across this author, but I will have to go back and read her other work if it continues to catch my attention.
I had to check to see if I've read other books by this author, and I have. I also did not like those books so I'm really glad that I didn't remember reading her work and diving into this book.
I loved the hunger games/slavers/sci-fi vibes this book put off.
Torst (I kept wanting to say toast in Australian) is a Taorian alien. His ship has been attacked and he and his crew mates had to flee their ship in pods where they land on 1 of 3 moons of Xulon. Each moon is a different type of "game". They landed on the hunting moon, which means they're being hunted and try to be killed. The unfortunate thing, Taori suffer from a mating fever. If they do not find a mate, they go mad.
Lia and her crew mates were attacked on their ship by slavers and sold to the Xulonians for "prey" on their moons. She and her friend Val are on the hunting moon as well.
Lia and Torst must find a way to help each other and somehow find a way off of the moon and destroy Xulon for good.
Don't read below unless you want spoilers. It's for my benefit.
Torst and his crew are thrown into a wormhole that puts them 500 years in the future and they are attacked by the Xulonians. Everyone rushes into a pod to escape and they'll land on different moons, I'm sure. Torst lands on the hunting moon. He wonders if any others from his crew have made it to the same moon. But torst hears and sees 2 women. Lia and Val. He sees Val is injured and then Lia sets her in a cave so she can go get them some food. Torst saves her from an attack by these Xulon avatars. She then takes Torst back to the cave to find Val and Val isn't there.
They end up being chased Yada Yada Yada. Torst tells her about the mating fever because since they went through a wormhole, the mating fever has started and is progressing quickly. Lia knows she won't be able to survive as well on her own so she tells Torst she'll give him a go 😉 so he doesn't go crazy. They end up finding other alien survivors and they all band together to get out of there. She finds Val and they find out another Taori is there, Daikin. He was full on fever on the ship and so he's basically about to go to crazy town. He ends up being the one who saved Val but he doesn't want to be around anyone because he knows how dangerous it can be.
All of the survivors and go and mess up the main station on the moon so they can steal a ship and get off. They make it slightly, Lia gets shot but she's fine, and the story ends with no one knowing where Val is.
🔥 “You’re my little female, and you’re going to take everything I give you, aren’t you?” ~~~ We met the Immortal Army of the Taori in Burn, book 3 of the Inferno Force of the Drexian Warriors series. And I’ve been so impressed with these fierce, horned and tattooed warriors and really curious what happened to their ship that vanished into a wormhole. Now I got my answers and they were not what I expected.
Torst is the disappeared ship’s security chief. He’s one dangerous, bossy, honorable and loyal warrior. Even more, I loved his fierce protectiveness and dominance. And he comes with a very special, impressive and naughty equipment! 😏 He’s absolutely magnificent and I adored every single thing about him.
Lia is an imperial officer and serves as a security for their transports. I loved her strategic and sharp mind. Even more, she’s so fierce and not afraid to stand her ground. She’s a badass and I loved her so much!
Everything that happened between Lia and Torst was absolutely fantastic. From the moment they met, their chemistry was undeniable and they were such a badass team. They had to face a lot of danger and save each other numerous times. And, with the Quaibyn fever affecting Torst, their strong attraction soon exploded into a blazing hot passion. Even more, Torst is one smooth talking and dirty mouthed male with a naughty tail who definitely knows how to please a woman.
In addition, the worlbuilding and storyline were marvellous. The Xulonians were evil, xenophobic and twisted. But I really loved all the other aliens that we got to meet. The survivors of the hunt were so fierce and such fun.
Overall, the story is a magnificent start of the series. It’s filled with non-stop action, danger, adventure, twists, scorching hot romance and spectacular characters.
I love every single page of it and, with that epilogue, cannot wait to see what happens next!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶 🔥🔥🔥 Audio: 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 Dual POV via Duet Narration
A solid entry in the alien romance genre. I really enjoyed that the FMC was part of a security force aboard an Empire ship before being kidnapped by slavers. That background gave her a strong foundation and made her resourcefulness on the planet feel believable, especially once she became the target in a brutal hunt.
The MMC had crash-landed on the same moon and had been tracking her, initially mistaking her for one of the hunters. Once he realized she was also a victim, not a threat, he made it his mission to protect her. However, his greatest challenge wasn’t the hostile terrain. It was the onset of mating fever. Without a mate, he risked losing control completely… and that simply wasn’t an option.
Both characters shared the goal of finding their missing crewmates and escaping the moon. I appreciated how they quickly formed a partnership based on mutual respect and survival skills. Neither one was helpless; they were both fully capable in the wilderness and took turns saving each other. Their dynamic was balanced and engaging, making for a satisfying and well-matched duo.
Also, the MMC definitely can talk dirty. 🥵
Audiobook: Both the narrators did a great job with the characters, ALL characters. I also love it was done in a duet narration. My only complaint is that sometimes the words didn't match between the audio and the book. Otherwise, great!
