The Pagans may have retrieved Raina and Callie, but the Templars won't let them go without a fight. To achieve their aims, both the Pagans and Templars need a knowledgeable magik, so they race to secure the first Adept sighted in a generation.
As the Pagans focus on reforming the Registerium and transferring Callie to their nation, demons from other nations disappear without a trace, and the Registerium is too preoccupied to help. The politics rests on a knife edge, and the Pagans must tread a careful path, convincing those who would normally vote against them to come into the fold.
But that's easier said than done when some call for the Registerium to be disbanded entirely, the Templar nation becomes erratic, and the West Coast finally shows its true colors. But Raina and Caspar have waited too long, been through too much to let their enemies pull them and their daughter apart, and they'll do whatever it takes to be together.

𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹: This book is a great finale to one of the–in my book–best PNR series in the past 2 years. If you haven't picked up the series yet, you definitely should.
𝗜𝗻-𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹: Throughout the whole series, Harriet used her cunning storytelling skills to weave an intricate tapestry consisting of many MANY threads that neatly flow together to create the finale of this series. And a damn good one at that. The world introduced in books 1 & 2 was already huge & complex but all this pales compared to the vast & intriguing world described in 𝕊𝕥𝕒𝕣𝕤.
This book, as well as its overall climax, has everything I could've wished for. This book series in general has so much more than romance which makes it stand out. The many storylines included friendship, love, family, the sacrifices we ought to make for them, but also the consequences that reincarnation can have on those aspects. The overall strategic and political depth was enthralling and–to a point–relatable.
A strong plus were the characters themselves. All were unique, interesting and had their spotlight–until the very end. Not everything ended in an easy HEA, leaving a bittersweet pang in my chest. The ones that got their HEA? They DESERVED it. This is a huge plus in my book and will make me think about the story more often than others, for sure. No spoilers here, but the character growth was throughout 𝕊𝕥𝕒𝕣𝕤 was amazing.
A wonderful ending to the incredible story. All the strategies, well-placed people or you can say people present at the right place at the right time have delayed a few consequences/war. A lot of people are lost in the process but still, it’s fruitful. I loved how the story grew and Zahora is wow in every aspect. She’s enthusiastic, reckless, impatient but caring, helpful, sometimes sincere too. Based on the title I wanted to see more of the Nation Of Stars but it didn’t happen. Whatever information is given satisfies the storyline but doesn’t feed my curiosity. I wanted more of it. Overall this series is worth reading.
I didn’t want this book to end. Page turning read with action, romance , politics and magic. Raina and Casper have previously been main characters in this series but the spotlight was shared between others which really developed characters and deepens their dynamics. Am hoping there is another book coming as so many potential leads and unanswered questions.
Received a complimentary copy of the book for a voluntary review.
I'm so glad I'm done this. This started out as a fantasy romance, but in the end it was a full fledged political fantasy. There was too much going on, I couldn't keep it all straight. Also, SO many people got killed right at the end. That was just dumb. I'm just done. I also don't think I'll be reading anymore from this author either. For some reason, she puts elipses constantly in her dialogue. It's really annoying and continually taking me out of the story.
Not sure if there will be more books in this series or world but I looked the conclusion here. It was left in a way that more could follow which I liked but the main story line was wrapped up.
I stumbled across this trilogy and have read all there one after the other. I’ve loved them and will certainly seek out more books by HR Moore. If you’re even a little bit tempted give it a go.
