Life has taught Abby to keep her magic under wraps, especially at work where she’s an apprentice to Seattle’s hottest new tattoo artist. But meeting her mentor’s friend—a gorgeous witch named Wren—rips Abby’s intentions to hell when Wren’s magic sparks to life more than Abby’s attraction. Wren has never shared a connection so strong with another witch and she isn’t sure she wants to. Her last relationship ended with a funeral, but Abby’s energy is impossible to resist and soon Wren isn’t sure what she wants more–her old life back, or a future with Abby. When Abby’s mentor’s girlfriend walks into the shop dripping with dark magic, Abby enlists Wren’s help to find the source. Whoever is behind the dark energy only needs a couple of unwilling mediums to unleash pure evil onto the world—and it turns out Wren knows just the two mediums they're looking for.
Elle lives in the Pacific Northwest where she is the author of thirteen paranormal romantasies about deeply damaged people finding love amidst the extraordinary. Executive Director of a non-profit, and mom of two, Elle spends her slivers of free time reading, running, or thrift shopping—coffee is usually involved.
This is the book where Wren gets her happily ever after (and wow, was it so challenging and so rewarding to write!) The Witch's Complement is the book in this series that saw the most extensive rewrites and revisions. I just wanted to make sure I got it right—Wren deserved no less than perfect (or, as perfect as I can get it, at least.) I love writing WLW (women loving women) relationships because the power differential is so much different than writing heterosexual relationships. For Wren and Abby, the power shift comes from their magic—and a little from Abby's habit of saying the "wrong" things at the "right" time. Speaking of Abby, I absolutely love her. She's nerdy, a little goofy, and 100% herself. There's nothing better than writing a woman who is perfectly secure in her imperfection, and perfectly confident in her power. *chef's kiss* If Wren's side story in The Cloak's Shadow broke your heart, you do not want to miss The Witch's Complement. It makes all the heartache worth it, I promise.

This book is amazing. HOLY SHIT. Chapter 6, make it past chapter 6 before you decide to put it down. The story telling and character development is so enjoyable. I love Elle's style ❤️❤️❤️
