Just the first book????

I've read several of these series over the years. Some I've enjoyed even with all the obvious issues : editing, grammer, gender reversal, cultural politics, etc. I try to find that kernel of vision that the author is trying to convey. Maybe it's just me. Repetitive covers, no effort on editing, even a cursory read through or basic software would highlight the problems for a serious publisher. Guess Amazon and Kindle can take the hit, I'm disappointed. Not worth the time or money to find out.

Confusing

This book is full of too many elements. By the time I reached the end I was too confused to be satisfied.
