I received this as an arc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This was a good small town romance. I really loved the first half of the story but then suddenly I just felt like I was reading a completely different story. And it wasn’t that I didn’t like the second half of the story but I just felt like it was too different from the first half. I liked the mention of mama Kay and Cole and Ashley definitely had a good connection. All in all I enjoyed it but I didn’t love it.

This is book two in The Forever Series and it is Cold and Ashley's story. Cole and Ashley were so in love but Cold never wanted marriage or children and after five year's together he still hasn't changed his mind so Ashley did the only thing that she could and that was to walk away even though it broke both of there heart's but she just couldn't see a future together anymore. Cole had the responsibility of looking after his mum as she has dementia and is getting worse so she needs around the clock care but he still supported Ashley in her music career but as much as he loved Ashley he wouldn't change his mind about getting married or having children so that is what lead to them breaking up even though he had lost the one person that owned his heart. Will they ever be able to sort out there differences and get a second chance of being together and having the happy ending that they both deserve or will this be the end of there relationship. Omg I absolutely loved this book and I couldn't put it down as I wanted to see what would happen next between Cole and Ashley. I definitely recommend you read this book as it is so well written and worth reading.

This is the second book in the Forever Series but the first book I e read by this author. Such a great small town romance and short story.

Ashley and Cole have been together for 5 years since she was 17. She has had a hard upbringing, came from nothing and has amazing sisters and an overprotective brother. Their plan was to always leave Blossom Springs and follow their dreams in the music industry. But Coles mom suffers several strokes leaving him as her caregiver. Ashley leaves after landing the lead for a band for 6 months. Will their relationship last? Will she be gone much longer than expected! Will they be able to work out her wanting to get married and have kids when he doesn’t want that life? Will he prove his love to her?

The first half and last part of this book follows a small town romance. In the middle you see another side of Ashley, particularly in the bedroom and it gets very spicy. I love the devotion and love Cole has for Ashley. Secondary characters were great especially Momma Kay. Can’t wait for the next book!

A great quick small town romance read about Cole and Ashley who have been together for many years but Ashley wants more and Cole is not willing to give that to Ashley and therefore they go their separate ways. This story had some anxious moments when Ashley and Cole were separated but ultimately they both still loved each other very much. The chemistry between them was intense and although this was a sweet novella it did not leave you unsatisfied with the story line and you could not help but fall in love with these characters. This is my first book in this series and I am looking forward to reading much more.

Cole and Ashley planned to leave together, but he couldn't leave his mother alone with all of her health problems. Now they have a second change to get their love right. Nearly losing her forever is a huge wake-up call for him. The author always does a great job writing about small-town romance. I loved Cole and Ashley's story, rooting for them through the book. The tone of the book changed part way through. I'm not sure what the purpose was for that whole BDSM segment. I did enjoy the book, and am looking forward to the next in the series. A second chance romance for Cole and Ashley. When Ashley leaves to follow her dreams of being a singer, they try for long distance. When they can’t get on the same page in terms of the future, they break up and try to move on. This is a sweet and extremely steamy romance about compromise, chasing dreams, and rediscovering love. There are some BDSM scenes and tons of steam. There is also a really great ending to this book.

I loved and enjoyed this story! I'm a sucker for small-town-second-chance romance stories and this ticked all the boxes for me. It was an easy read. I thought it was well-written and had interesting mix of characters. Oh yah, this one's a spicy one! More, please.

“ The first one who counts is the one you remember.”

“Chasing Forever” is a nice short story with very few surprises or heavy drama. The main characters were ok but undefined and kind of all over the place. One part of the book she states they are in a full time D/s relationship but except for the sex scenes nothing else demonstrates this. If anything they are more partners. There is nothing about Cole that is dominant, he’s not even really an alpha male. He’s just a really nice guy who decides to give up everything for love. Ashley is in no way submissive. She’s actually a strong woman who knows what she wants and refuses to settle for less. She loves Cole with all her heart and wants a HEA with him. I don’t think the author actually knows much about the BDSM lifestyle and threw it in because it’s trendy right now. It’s never even mentioned until over half way through the book and then pretty much ignored after that.

To be honest a lot of the book comes across like it’s two or three different stories she tried to blend into one. It made it rather confusing. It had a nice end to it and nothing felt rushed despite being less than 90 pages long. It’s not a bad book, it’s just not fantastic either. This is why I gave it an average rating of three stars.
