Crashed and Claimed #2

Marked For Mayhem

Rate this book
Her last shot at love just crashed and burned… literally.

Bella signed up for the interplanetary matchmaking cruise hoping for travel, adventure, and maybe a chance at romance. Now she’s crash landed on a strange planet with no one around but a horned, alien hottie who showed up and laid claim to her gear, her ship… and her.

He’s too brash, too pushy, and much too young for her. He’s also not taking no for an answer…
This wasn’t the adventure she imagined, but it might just be the romance of a lifetime, if she can stay alive long enough to enjoy it.

Susan lives out on the Canadian west coast surrounded by open water, dear family and good friends. She’s jumped out of perfectly good airplanes on purpose and accidentally swum with sharks on the Great Barrier Reef. If the world ends, she plans to survive as the spunky, comedic sidekick to the heroes of the new world, because she’s too damned short and out of shape to make it on her own for long.

Writing is her joy, her escape from reality and the only way she knows of to quiet the nagging harridan of a muse the universe assigned to her.

I enjoyed the read, but the epilogue made little sense to me as it included two other human females that had been on the ship with Bella, but no mention was made of them being found before the epilogue. I would assume their stories are coming next?

This should be categorized as erotica and not romance, because these people were banging like an hour after meeting. Zero effort into actually attempting to build a 'romance' this also did nothing for the overarching plot that was started in Rage's book so that was mega disappointing. Also what was that epilogue time jump??

I won't be going any further with this series.

Mayhem!

Love that name: Mayhem! Not alot of questions were answered from the Rage book so that was disappointing but I liked the dynamic between Bella and Mayhem! It did give just a peak into life for the clan on their new planet. But just a glimpse. This was definitely a feel-good book and a fairly short read. I liked it. Recommended!

I am pressed for time. I will say I loved the book & am reaching for the other one. I will no doubt reread the series many times over. I like the way it keeps me turning pages just to see what is going to happen next.

If you haven't read the first book in this series, I recommend you go back and read it first. It sets up the scenario for the rest of these books.

At the end of Marked for Rage we learned that the plan to free his brothers has gone totally awry. They are now trapped on a planet with no one allowed in or out of the space around it. They are not free but still prisoners.

Bella signed up for this Interplanetary Courtship Cruise looking for adventure and maybe some romance. Now there's alarms going off and the abandon ship command from the captain. Bella had raced to the escape pod and crashed to the planet's surface. Now covered in suspension gel that saved her life she tries to figure out what supplies she has and what she needs to do to stay alive until rescue comes.

It's been a year and Mayhem and his brothers along with Bysshe the android have made this planet more of a home. They have been attacked more than once by mercenaries hired by the verexi or 'scrawnies' as they called them. Now it appears another attack is happening. Mayhem, Menace and Strife were working on the roof of Mayhem's home when the alarms go off. They discover small vessels would land in each of their territories, but the main ship was much further away. The immediate problem would be those close to their homes so that's where they would head to first.

It didn't take Mayhem long to find the intruder, He didn't know what kind of mercenary would come here unarmed but he was going to find out.

Going through Bella's emergency pack, Mayhem destroys the portable transponder, and demands to know how to disable the one on her ship. It's when she almost falls that Mayhem realizes something else. Bella is his.

There are many tense moments in this book, a scary planet for Bella and Mayhem only intrigues her more as things rapidly heat up between them.

This is a fun, sexy, page turning read, I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Bella is in her later years and goes on an intergalactic matchmaking cruise hoping to find love. The other female passengers slowly dwindle as they find their partner and leave the ship. It is down to a few women who keep to themselves and then the ship is in danger and Bella's escape pod crashes onto an unknown planet.

She is discovered by one of the fa'rel, Mayhem. Him and his brothers are experiments for super soldiers by another species and they are left on this planet their person. They carve out of a life for themselves with their android mentor, Bysshe and cobble together technology to have running water and electricity.

Bella describes Mayhem as a demon as he has horns, fangs and fur. She mentions a few times that he is much younger than her and it is not clear on her age though I was guessing forties to fifties? She has some white streaks in her red hair and has green eyes.

The hero might seem primitive and proclaims Bella as his then begins to care for her. I liked how he did little thoughtful things like leave flowers for her and food before he left to speak to his friend. She has trauma from her past of being told she is not beautiful and having to be married to a powerful man so she will be taken care of. She has created her own proaction by dealing with information with others. He has emotional depth that was impressive in how he loves his brothers but knows that they cannot be around each other too often as they become aggressive and he cares for Bella and wants to be around her often because of how she makes him feel more. The fa'rel struggle with who they are because they were bred in a lab and controlled.

The marks that appear on both their bodies after they have sex is a mystery and seem like mated marks. This was quick and establishes the world in a w ay that makes me interested to read further.

Tropes: Fated mates, virgin hero, older heroine-younger hero, cinnamon roll

Marked for Mayhem is the first book in the Crashed and Claimed series. Bella is on an intergalactic cruise looking for love when it’s attacked and she crash lands on a strange planet. Mayhem finds her in his territory and neither can deny their attraction to each other. But when he claims that she’s his, will she take a chance on love, or is his world just too dangerous?

This book was really fun to read! You have an older woman who crash lands on a planet and everything she knows is about to change! Bella and Mayhem show us how cultures that clash together can still make something really beautiful workout, but there will definitely be some bumps to smooth out! Bella is trying so hard to be independent after the life she’s lived so far, but I love that she was willing to learn about her new life and wanted to figure out where she fit in. She had insecurities, but she showed her inner strength often! Mayhem is doing the best that he can with the hand that fates has dealt him, but I love how he has to prove himself to Bella. That he wanted her around, that he needed her part of his life, and that it wasn’t just a physical connection. And phew, did they connect on a physical level! Like the prequel to the series, you’re left with some questions that haven’t been answered yet, like what do the marks mean and will they ever find true freedom, but you get completely sucked into this new world and you can’t help but love the characters and want more!

A sci-fi adventure to make your heart happy…

Women of a certain age tend to feel worn out and past their usefulness, and so does Bella. Yet, she decided to see if there was a man out among the stars that could still love her. Mayhem and his clan crashed on a planet that has essentially become a prison for them. When they meet it is hilarious, their romance angsty, their HEA heart warming. Throw in some wild game action and this is a great short read.

And don’t forget the bonus epilogue 🥰

Women just falling into their laps! Mayhem and his brothers are surviving on the planet, just them and the android Bish, then there's an anomaly, and things are dropping from the sky. Probably assassins, as per usual, but wait, the small ship has a woman and things he could use, so he claims them all. Bella has not had good luck since crashing onto this planet, but then Mayhem shows up and claims her as his, and then saves her, and then, yeah, it's raining women on the planet with no name, lol. I also listened to it on Audible, and that was enjoyable too!

Awesome

If you like sweet romance with dominant alpha males and sassy females then this is the series for you. Bella’s escape pod has crash landed on a primitive prison planet. Her only hope of of survival is the alien Mayhem. It could be the opportunity of a life time or her worst nightmare. This is the tale of their meeting and it’s consequences. It certainly is a riveting one.

Awwww.. loved this short but heated book. Single female crash lands on unknown planet with unknown creatures that may eat her... in more way then one! She was on a singles cruise and wanted adventure... and a man. This book had humor, heat, and a tad bit of danger. It was a good start to a new series and I cannot wait to read the next.

Crash landing into love

Bella and Mayhem’s story is part two in the series and definitely kept me from putting down the book. Bella is older and looking for that elusive love that has been missing her whole life. Mayhem didn't know he was missing exactly what Bella brings into his life, until it's there.

Saved by a savage devil

This is the second book in this series. It is about a cruise ship crash and the women in the cruise taking escape pods that send then to a planet occupied by alien prisoners. What ensues next is a test to both individuals when they touch and mating heat erupts and nature takes its course. Good quick read.

Crashed

Bella's singles cruise through the Galaxy just took a turn for the worst when the ship explodes and her escape pod leaves her on a jungle planet. Or had it? When sexy male Mayhem shows up st her crash site her luck may just be changing in this entertaining tale.

Marked for mayhem

I truly liked the interaction between Bella and Mayhem. Much to Bella's surprise after her escape pod crashed on this incredible planet. Had to complete this book in two days. Very interesting reading and a little insight of what's to come.

This is a fated mates kind of story, so the relationship is almost instantaneous. It's short, too, so there isn't a lot of character development. But, it's a fun concept and an easy read. Great if you like your stories where it's almost exclusively about the couple.

While the story itself is alright, I was disappointed that the succeeding stories were a repeat of the first story. I was hoping to continue. theme finding out how to Integrate
these prisoners back into society and right. The wrongs done by the evil guys but it is not to be.

Totally Enjoyable

I enjoyed this story. I wish it had been longer. More details from during the time jump at the end would have been nice, like finding the other women and Bella meeting Bysshe for the first time.

Midlife Magic

A cute alien romance about a human female who crash landed on an unknown planet. She is picked up by a younger (maybe) alien and claimed as his mate.

Nice

It was a nice but short story. There were so many ways it could have been expanded on. I was disappointed author skimmed over those opportunities and wrapped it up.

After reading the first book in the series I was disappointed that this short, short story was more like the next chapter in the original story. But I did enjoy it.
