Probably the best yoga text I’ve ever read, I’ll come back to this time and time again. I loved the holistic and spiritual aspects of yoga in this book, explained in a relatable and applicable way, and thanks to the guidance in this book I now have an accessible journaling practice which I am using each day. Yoga has become quite a part of my life this year, and I am the better for it. Just lovely.

By encouraging the reader to incorporate key disciplines, thoughts, and actions into their everyday lives, regardless of what little time or space they have in which to do them, Hannah shows how you can find your energy, reduce stress at home or at work, to get a better night's sleep, or even to help cope with the bigger things life throws at you.

Relatable and simple, and broken down into easy applications that are simple to master, The Healing Power of Yoga offers thoughtful, practical advice, with beautiful illustrations throughout to provide both demonstration and inspiration.


It took a while to finish this book but wanted to savor the inspiration and knowledge that I could take from this book. Barett integrates easy practices to take into your daily life, both in the mat and off the mat. Her descriptions & journey were interesting to follow throughout the book.

I would recommend this to someone who is a beginner to the yoga practice and or wants to develop their knowledge in a pocket size and beautiful illustrations of the poses, photos.

Libro fácil de leer pero con mucha información . La autora explica todo preciso y corto , pero con profundidad .
Entrega elementos prácticos y que uno puede incorporar en la vida .
Me encanto además que al final recomienda más libros para profundizar .
Definitivamente es un libro que me quiero comprar en físico ( Lo leí en Kindle ).

A nice book for yoga beginners, like myself. It teaches how to meditate, and helps the reader get into some healthy habits. The author shares her personal experience and how yoga has helped her. I would recommend this book to both new beginners and novices in yoga, as it goes into detail about the different building blocks of yoga.

Checked this out from my local library and skimmed through the contents. A great beginner’s guide to simple yoga flows, meditation, and journaling.

Will definitely consider purchasing my own copy.

Bought this as a coffee table book but actually really enjoyed it. Breaks all limbs of yoga down well and makes it easy to understand and digest.

This book is very helpful, if you want to expand your yoga practice as a student or even as a yoga teacher, this is a good book to learn from.
