Elektra is forced to make a fateful decision. She’s sworn a vow to never take a life as long as she wears the DAREDEVIL cowl, but battered, bruised and with her back to the wall, will she be strong enough to keep it? If she is, will she be strong enough to survive the consequences of mercy?

3.5 stars. The battle between Elektra and Kraven comes to a close. Elektra also learns of a possible fate for another character and makes the decision to kill who was responsible. But it’s that last page that has me like what? What does this mean? Can’t wait to read that #1 now.
in hindsight; i wish this’d been a more standalone story than a tie in to Devil’s Reign. But i still need to actually read Devil’s Reign so I’ll withhold complete judgement at the moment
Soooo... was this an ending? This was supposed to be a three issue run but, if this was the end, it was pretty unsatisfying. I'll also go on the record to not liking the redesigned costume of a certain anti-hero at the end.
So... we come to the action-packed finale of the Elektra mini-series that is apparently a Devils' Reign tie-in that really doesn't need to be packaged as such.
First, I give Marvel negative marks here for forcing labelling this as a tie-in because this takes place at the same time but it is pretty much a stand-alone story and should have been treated as such.
Second, the artwork was one of the highlights of the series so far and in a strange turnaround, I found the interior art to be inferior to the first two issues and somehow the cover by Bachalo was the best of the three issues.
As for the story... this is a bit of a nothing sandwich. It moves along well and yes it does give Elektra some nice personal moments and the action is great - but it is nothing unique or done in any way that really had me interested. There is a surprise (of sorts) at the end of the issue but aside from concerning The Hand, it has little bearing on this story and frankly I feel like whomever are the teams steering the stories concerned with The Hand and such are themselves confused or not able to make clear plans... I feel like they are trying for something but I've not been able to get anything truly interesting or informative on what this organisation that was feared across Earths' shadows is up to anymore.
The series is fun enough but mostly it is a time-passer of a book that starts strong but ends mediocre and doesn't motivate me itself to read more of the character. I'd rather follow Elektra in a Daredevil book just for her and Matt at this point rather than read another something like this story. You might like it if you're an Elektra fan, but I was less than impressed.
Chip Zdarsky, you better not do what the end of this issue implies you're gonna do.
D*mn you, Zdarsky!!
The artwork here and storytelling is stellar. As a whole the tie-in works really well as part of the wider event whilst, at the same time, allowing for scope for future developments in this particular corner of Earth 616. Each character I'm this series has been treat with respect and it leaves me genuinely curious about how they're going to wrap up the event. It also makes me want to read more of the series which will no doubt spiral out of it.
Yeah, we're selling comic books, go figure. Still it's great art and fun reading. Well worth the $1.99 I spent for each one. Now I have the complete set and cross-over series from DD - 2019, through Devil's Reign, to DD Omega and onward to DD - 2022! LONG LIVE THE MAN WITHOUT FEAR!!!
Very cool book, Elektra taking down Kraven ruled, I like where this is heading in Devil's Reign and having read Punisher 1 already, I love where we're going with him and the Hand.
Bit of a middling series that was pretty heavily connected to Devil’s Reign and pretty much apart of it — see my overall review under Devil’s Reign #6.
