Umm....not sure what to say other than rank hypocrisy and a culture that validates sneaky cheating(As opposed to ethical monogamy)...and resolution via violence!🤷
However, the scenario that highlighted the frightening truth of racial profiling by police and danger they pose to brown and black folk was sadly a frightening reality.

A quick read that I did not know I needed!

We start off with our main FMC finding out her boyfriend is cheating.

Being completely "in love" but timid in nature- one of her best friends talks her into going to confront the boyfriend and the mess begins.

Confronting the boyfriend ends with our FMC getting into a fight (and losing) with the "other woman".

The way this story unfolds from a male centered FMC to a confident no none-sense sidechick was flawless.

Also, the humor throughout the story- especially that fight was worth the read!!!!

Ok first things’s first. This story is well crafted, plotted, characters are fully developed. Great job on that. But it’s a lot of interactions that don’t really move the plot forward. I stopped at about 30% because most of the information used in the slow buildup could have been omitted. It starts with an argument with mama over being the side chick and that’s fine. But the inciting incident is what’s missing to make me care what happens next.

I didn’t know what to think at first, but the plot twisted rather quickly 😬🤣. It was good for what it was. This definitely should’ve been a longer read.
