This is a wonderful cookbook filled with information I never knew about the food of many different cultures. The recipes are basic and easy to follow. A must have book for beginner cooks who keep kosher. It is also a must have for people who like to read about other cultures. Hannah Goodman did a great job with this book! There are chapters on Spanish, Italian, Indian, Chinese and many other cultures. Each of these chapters begin with information about Jewish cooking in that country. Ms. Goodman also includes a chapter explaining keeping kosher and chapters with recipes for and explanations of the Jewish holidays. I highly recommend adding this book to your cookbook collection!
