MacKenzie Stowe began her love of reading and writing when she was very young. A hopeless romantic she likes to write stories about hot handsome men and the strong women who tame them. She loves her boyfriend, chocolate, wine and her animals but not always in that order. She is happily living in Sunny Southern California as she thinks up her next romantic story
Did not like this one at all. I thought it would be a cute story, but it failed to keep my interest. The characters seemed too robotic and lacked depth & chemistry. Sex alone does not a romance make.
I also got tired of all the references of Hero's past as a major player & how "great" he is at sex. WhoopeeDoo. We get it. He screwed around a lot, had threesomes & loves to f**k everything & anything. In other words, he was a slut! 🙄
Also, a lot of mentions throughout the story about his ex GF and she never even came to the picture or got her comeuppance (not that I wanted OW dramalama but at least not let her get away with the crap she pulled! Lol).
All in all, this was a waste of my time & I will not be reading anything by this writer again.
Safety:
Safe. No cheating. OW drama in the form of Hero's ex who works behind the scenes to try to both get him back & hurt him. Hero claimed he didn't want to get back together with her but was a pushover and allowed her to do whatever she wanted even when it hurt him & his family in the media. No virgins No intimate scenes with OP though there is quite a bit of Hero's past mentions of being a player/slut. Something he seems not to regret and even boasts about. 🤮 HEA
Remy is up to no good again! He said he wouldn’t interfere in his children’s love lives again but should have known that wouldn’t last long! JD is known as a player and the rumor mill about him is something else. Only JD has come back from Italy a changed man and is focused on opening his new restaurant and his family. Lexie is a reporter who works for a newspaper that is owned by a friend of Remy’s. He gets his friend to have Lexie write a story on JD (regardless of what she finds out). JD hates reporters after a scandal broke out and doesn’t want to do the interview, but he does want to get to know Lexie as he is drawn to her. Lexie doesn’t believe anything good about JD and just believes he and his family are all entitled.
Time spent together proves that these two are hot for each other. Will Lexie be able to write an article for the paper and will JD be able to let things go? Secrets come out, truths are told, there is betrayal and deception and some very steamy scenes. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
MacKenzie Stowe has written a 5-star book This is the story of Alexandria (Lexie) and J.D. J.D's father, Remy has called his friend Charlie who owns a newspaper and wants him to do a story on J.D. Remy even tells Charlie who he wants to do the story. It is Alexandria. Remy tells J.D. about the story and J.D. tells him that he wants nothing to do with it. When Alexandria gets to Bennetts, there is a long line of people standing out front. She walks in and tells Rosie, J.D.'s assistant who she is and why she is there. Rosie tells her to go back to J.D.'s office. J.D. takes her as someone who is applying for the hottest position and starts the interview. Lexie knows the restaurant business since her parents ran a restaurant for years and she worked with them. There is an attraction between Lexie and J.D. from the moment they met. J.D. decides he doesn't need the distraction of her working for him and tells her that she is not the right one for the job. She laughs at him and tells him that she wouldn't work for him anyway since she is a reporter. J.D. gets upset and tells her to leave since he has no plans to talk to her. Lexie waits a few days and then she goes back to the restaurant to see J.D. When she gets there, Rosie tells her that he is in a mood and for her to go on back at her own risk. Lexie tells her that she can handle him. when she walks into his office, he is on the phone and not happy. Instead of talking to her then, he asked her to come back later that night so they can talk. That night, when she gets to the restaurant, they talk about everything but the restaurant. He feels like he can just talk to her and just relax. She tells him that she is going to do the story but only what he approves of first. He doesn't trust her because of a bad time with a reporter in his past. They end up becoming a couple and are trying to keep things separate from professional and personal. Lexie gets a call from Georgia, her editor and she wants to know what Lexie has done on the story. Lexie tells her that her deadline is not until the next week. Georgia tells her that she wants to see what she has that day. Lexie tells her that she would be in the office in a little while. Lexie tells J.D. what is going on with Georgia, and he tells her to go ahead and write the story before she goes to the office. When Lexie gets to her office, she finds Georgia working with some other reporters on a story. Georgia wants Lexie's story and when she reads it, she tells Lexie that it is not true. Lexie has the proof to back up her story. There is a story that runs but it is full of nothing but lies. When Lexie sees it, she is upset thinking that J.D. would think that she wrote the story. She tries to call him but it just goes to voice mail. She calls the restaurant, but is told he is not taking calls at the time. She goes to her office but she is not allowed in. She then goes to the restaurant to see J.D. When she gets there, he is talking to his brothers Walker and Mac. They have been discussing what to do about Lexie and the story. J.D. tells them that nothing is going to be done to her since she is not the one who wrote the story. Mac has found out some things about Georgia and it is that she is friends with J.D's ex-girlfriend Lizbeth. Now they need to figure out what to do about the two. Lexie is worried about what J.D. is thinking about her. Lexie and J.D. talk and he tells her that she needs to find out what is going on at her office. She decides to go and find out from Charlie. When she gets to the office she runs into Georgia. She is told that Remy is the one who wanted her to do the story on J.D. Georgia tells her a few other things and it upsets her to think that J.D. may have had something to do with what has happened between them. She goes and tells J.D. what happened at the office. He said that they would go and find out what his father had done. They go and see Remy and when they confront him, he tells them that yes, he sent Lexie to do the story on him but that was all. Will Lexie and J.D. continue to see each other after hearing what Remy has done? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Meddling, Again?! Fantastic book. Those folks are at it again! JD’s focus is on getting his restaurant open and he doesn’t have time to deal with a reporter. He doesn’t trust them after past history has taught him. Lexi is going to write the story with or without his help. After getting to know him JD is not the man that she thought he was. He is so much more and likes what she learns about him and his family. When an ex rears her ugly head once more JD makes an arrangement with Lexi to be his girlfriend. The only problem with that is real feelings come in to play. They have to separate the article aspect from their relationship side to make it work. When Lexi’s deceitful boss hijacks her story printing a bunch of lies the family rallies around her. Wait until you find out that connection. And then the truth of how they met comes to light and there is going to be H**L to pay. Those meddling folks just don’t know when to stop. Loved it! This was an amazing book. It captured my attention from the very beginning and had me eagerly devouring the pages. The pacing was excellent and I liked that whilst there certainly was drama, it didn't feel contrived nor excessive. I fell in love with both JD and Lexi and it was a joy seeing them fall in love and navigate the challenges that they faced. You could really feel the chemistry and connection between them and I felt as if I had been invited into their world. This was the third book in the series and to enhance your reading enjoyment, I'd recommend reading them in order as previous characters feature heavily in this book. I loved how close this family was and that although they were billionaires, they really were down to earth and relatable. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. Like book 2, The Billionaire Player does not disappoint. Yes, Remy is meddling again with his son's personal life.
JD is focused on opening his restaurant and Lexi is going to write a story about JD whether he wants to contribute or not. Lexi discovers that JD is not what he or his family seem but when JD's ex appears, a fake relationship is created to frighten her off. What happens when real feelings start to appear and then lies are printed about JD's family? You will have to read this well written book with a fantastic family to find out.
Although I had mixed feelings with book 1, I can happily recommend reading this series if a fake relationship that leads to a HEA is your thing.

JD is getting his restaurant open and Lexi is going to write a story with or with his help. Once Lexi finally gets to know JD she realizes he is not who she thought he was, there is so much more to JD and his family. JD’s ex is now back in the picture and he needs the help of Lexi to pretend to be his girlfriend. With the pretending to be in a relationship Lexi and JD’s feelings take center stage. Lexi’s boss get a hold of her story and prints things that are not true about JD and his family. Lexi and JD are awesome together with great chemistry. I so love that their relationship went from fake to real.
Will Lexi’s boss print a retraction, will the article effect JD and Lexi’s budding relationship, do we have an HEA?
Remy just had to get his hands back where they did not belong. A spiel to his friend about wanting a news article about JD opening his new restaurant. JD is against any and all reporters. Until Lexi walks in and gives back everything he throws at her. Lexi is there to get the real story about JD and family. Between the bantering back and forth how could there not be lightning between them. This is the best book yet from this series in my opinion.
I read an early review copy of this book for an honest review.
JD Bennett is focused on opening his restaurant and doesn’t have time to be interviewed for an article to help his dad’s friend’s newspaper. Alexandria “Lexi” Ricci has been given the assignment to write about JD. JD needs Lexi’s help faking a relationship so he can avoid his ex. Lexi has issues of her own and needs JD. They have great chemistry. I enjoyed reading their story. I loved getting to know them. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

This was a wonderful book that I easily got lost in and did not want to put down.
JD is known to be a player, but now he is focused on his restaurant. When Alexandria comes around to do an article on it, JD is hesitant due to his past with reporters. This story begins to take a twist as JD's ex finds a way to interfere in his life. Alexandria and JD work together to clear of the mess his ex created.
A great read with each line of the story.

Another fast paced fun read in this story This is the story of JD the owner of Bennets and Lexie a reported who JD's father wanted to do a report about. The only problem is that JD mistakes her for a woman applying for the hostess position Will this give her the in to do her report and how will JD react when he finds out who she ii Especially with the chemistry that has taken off between them Can they have a future You need to read to see
When Remy asked his friend who owns a magazine to write a story on JD his son and send Lexi to do the story. Is dad up to it again with sending u his son with a wife. When JD see Lei he not sure to trust her with his family story and his business. What happen when his ex girlfriend and Lexi boss gets involved with them? Can they save what they have for each other or not.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I love these story. I couldn't put the book down. Great characters that will pull you into their story. JD and Lexi have great chemistry and so emotional baggage. This story has drama, love, hope, passion, forgiveness, family and meddling parents. I enjoyed the banter between the brothers. The story flows effortlessly with a few twists and turns that will keep you glued from start to finish.
The author has taken us back to spend some time with the Bennett Brothers and to be pulled into the lives of JD and Alexandria. They have a connection that they cannot deny, however, neither one wants it to go further.

I enjoyed Alexandria & JD’s story. JD: I have left my past in the past, but it keeps coming back to haunt me. It was the story of a lifetime, and one I couldn’t pass up. Even if it meant I had to get close to billionaire playboy JD Bennett. It was an entertaining read. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
This book was absolutely AH-MAZING! Typically, when I cannot put a book down, I get aggravated when I have to; however, as I waited to finish this book, I just became more and more hooked! 😍😍
Interesting, easy-to-read romance 4* This is the book about JD, the 3rd brother in the Bennett brothers' series. JD is a restaurateur, rather than working for his family’s liquor business. There is a lot of speculation and intrigue about the rich, good-looking boys keeping the media alert and with the ever-present social media sites, it is not enough to keep one’s eye on the reporters. However, a reporter, Alexandria is the one that is tasked with unearthing family secrets and although JD’s initial rage simmers to a mistrusting, cautious partnership with her, their gradual mellowing towards each other results in an easy-to-read, well-written instalment of the series that I can happily recommend to all romance lovers.

This story was amazing to read, i couldn’t put it down. How to old friends came together to give one of their sons his happily ever after. The last scene in the parents house was my favorite. The dynamic between the parents and son. Also the relationship between the main characters.
