She doesn't need a man to tell her how to run her business or her life— especially not one as judgmental as Son Riser. But when the ridiculously handsome preacher asks her to save the youth group's summer camp, she sees a good business opportunity for her fledgling equestrian school.
And if she changes Son's mind about her along the way, she calls that a bargain.
Son Riser wants a godly wife— not a stubborn one.
No matter how gorgeous Vada may be, her headstrong ways and gossiping nature have long had her on Son's list of "sinners" instead of "saints." But she steps in to help with the church's youth without hesitation, his view about her begins to change.
Except with the youth group playing Parent Trap, they both may have gotten roped into more than they bargained for.
It will take more than wild horses to drag these two together...
High Horse is a sweet, standalone romance with a dash of laughs and a heaping helping of small-town Southern sass.

Despite being the "go-to" person in Midnight Bluff, Vada's life has spun away from her. She's struggling to make ends meet, take care of her younger cousin, keep her fledgling equestrian school afloat... and not sink beneath the weight of her sister's death.
Then she gets a phone call that changes everything.
Son has everything he's ever dreamed of: a position as a respected pastor, friends in the community, and a beautiful home. He just doesn't have anyone to share it with.
When the youth pastor quits on him, he reaches out to the one person who might be able to save the youth group's summer camp.
Over one blisteringly hot summer, they work together to save the youth group... and each other.
This book started with one idea: Even pastors kiss. But how was I supposed to get kissing into a clean romance book. And do it without crossing any "lines?" Vada and Son are such vivid characters to me, and I've been itching to write Vada's story for ages now so I knew this was one challenge I wanted to tackle. I loved seeing these two larger-than-life people fall in love, flaws and all. And yes, there's plenty of steamy kissing.
Son, Midnight Bluff’s new preacher, has a dilemma. His youth pastor just quit. Now, he has a bunch of kids signed up for summer camp. With no activities planned.
He reaches out to Vada, the woman who owns the local horse training school, for help. Sparks instantly fly between the two.
The kids from the summer camp are adorable with their “parent trapping” plans. The townsfolk of Midnight Bluff, once again, meddle in the love lives of their neighbors. And that kayaking scene! 🔥
This is a sweet/clean romance, but that doesn’t mean there’s no heat on the page. Son and Vada smolder. Their banter is terrific. And Susan Farris once again brings all the emotions to the page.
I loved this latest installment of the Midnight Bluff series.
