The blurb for this book had me expecting this book to be an amazing read. However, for me this story was just okay. Yes, things weren't as they seemed and I kind of liked the gist of it but even though I liked the characters, I didn't love them. It's hard for me to love a story when I don't really connect with the characters. There were parts of the book that I thought were a bit slow. Everything about this story was just okay for me. It's not a book that I would find myself reading again. I can't lie, I expected more from this book, so it left me a bit disappointed even with a sweet ending.
This was a great book to curl up with, this is the first one I have read but I will be checking out the rest of this author's books. I was sucked right into this book and could not wait to see what happened next, I would definitely recommend it I did not want to stop reading.
Becca was young, divorced and living with her dad, trying to find a way out of her situation. Studying photography in college, she worked with a PI and took pictures of cheater spouses.
When she got a side job to find dirt on Clare's daughter's fiancée, she did not expect what she found out.
This is a good second chance romance, where friends and family love and support you when you least expect it. Becca and Julius have a connection from the start and the passion heats up when the give in to it.

Not Mine To Love was a fun, sweet, cute and quick contemporary romance that I finished in one sitting. Our heroine Becca is a PI tasked with photographing cheating spouses. She is hired to follow Julius by his future Mother-In-Law, who is not a fan; the feelings run both ways. While on the case, she is hired by Julius to be the Wedding Photographer, and that's when the hijinks begin, there is a lot of chemistry between our main leads, and although Julius is engaged, you can't help but hope that these two find some way to be together.
I really enjoyed this story, the characters, the plot, just everything overall; I do wish this could have been a bit longer, though. I will definitely be checking out Summer Cooper's other books.

It’s always hard to read another book after reading an incredible one (which I just did), so I knew I was putting a little too much pressure on this one. That said, I think this one earned 3.5 stars, but I’m rounding up to 4.
Shortly after I started reading, I began to recognize some of the characters. Apparently, this book about Becca is related to Mr. Principal and Unlucky in Love. Mr. Principal is about Dana and Carter; Dana is Becca’s ex-husband’s first wife and best friend. Unlucky in Love is about Piper and Ty. Piper is Becca’s ex-husband’s sister and best friend. Since they’ve both found the loves of their lives, they’re anxious for Becca to do the same.
Becca is floundering in her life, having graduated from college but unsure of what she wants to do. Only 25 years old, she works as a photographer for a PI, stalking mostly cheaters. When she’s approached about investigating Julius by his future mother-in-law, she can’t refuse when she’s offered $10,000. But the more she gets to know Julius, the more she becomes convinced he’s an amazing guy, and she inevitably falls in love with him. Don’t worry, there are no broken hearts here and Julius’ fiancé was never that in reality. However, it does take Becca a while to come to terms with that and to overcome her guilt about taking him from Anna (which Anna assures her didn’t happen).
As some background, Becca lives with her father, who is a great guy, and has as little contact as possible with her narcissistic mother. As it turns out, Anna’s mother Claire seems to have a lot in common with Becca’s mother—which means Becca has the opportunity to work out some other issues with her own mother. Although I found Becca’s behavior frustrating, especially once she realizes Julius loves her as much as she loves him yet still refuses to respond to his repeated attempts to contact her, I sort of understood it. I just felt like it went on longer than necessary. Luckily, Anna (Julius’ best friend and “ex-fiancé) finally talked some sense into her.
There were a couple of things that made me chuckle while reading, so that counts for something. While speaking with Dana, Becca comments that her face seems to be saying the opposite of what she just said. Dana responds with, “My face is stupid and never does what I tell it.” Later, wallowing in depression, Becca is surprised by a visit from Julius. She runs to the bathroom to freshen up and look presentable. “I looked down and tried to rub the stain off my shirt. It was orange as if I had been eating chips. I groaned to myself. I had been eating chips.” Showing they were the perfect match for one another, when Becca finally comes to her senses and goes to see Julius, she finds him in a similar situation. “He had a tortilla chip stuck to his stomach. I flicked it off. ‘Hey,’ he said, looking upset, ‘I was eating that.’” I loved the way the similarity between the two of them was reinforced with something so silly.
Overall, I enjoyed the book and I’d say it’s a fun read.

Becca isn't very good at being a discreet P.I. when she's hired by Claire, who wants to dig some dirt on Julius, her future son-in-law. The more opportunities she meets with the future bride & groom to take photos of them together, she realizes he'll be a great husband for his fiancee, Ana, and she can't find any dirt on him. He's actually boring until he catches her taking photos & demands to know why she's following him. Becca confesses the truth, not wanting to lose their friendship nor wanting to lose the large payment she needs for doing this job. What I didn't expect was the twist in the story, changing my direction of thoughts on what happens next. Once the truth comes out, Becca has to come to terms on how she really feels about Julius & will she be able to live with herself by breaking up an engagement & being the 'other woman'.
A great story to read with a few surprises, the blooming friendship between Julius & Becca, the hatred interaction between Julius & his future mother-in-law, Claire plus Becca's dad getting a second chance finding love too! Summer Cooper does an excellent job in having so much going on with each of the characters & succeeding in tying up the loose ends resulting in not one but two HEAs!

This is an intriguing read because it takes a peek at some very questionable thoughts and actions that the characters experience. In the beginning, I was troubled by Becca's personal life. She is lost, confused and frustrated with herself. Her life is not what she expected to be. My heart was soft for her and then, the course of the story turns as Becca's actions become questionable. All the while, the other characters, Julius, the man engaged to Ana, the daughter of Becca's client, Claire are all not as they seem. The drama unfolds and the questionable activities are revealed and it is chaos. I was glued to the pages. I have never wanted a character (Becca) to finally have her happy ending so much. It is touch and go for a bit but, it is worth the wait to see how and who manages to make Becca she the light and her bright and beautiful future.

This book is filled with flawed characters yet Summer Cooper nails the writing of all these characters and produces an amazing book.
Becca is a gorgeous 25yr old divorced woman who was married at 19yrs old to Tom, a cheater & man who just wanted a gorgeous woman on his arm. He didn’t care about her as a person. She’s a shy introvert but because of her looks she’s always found it difficult to make friends. She works for a PI taking pictures of cheating husbands.
Julius is engaged to be married to Ana. His future mothe in law, Claire doesn’t believe he is the man he portrays himself to be. She doesn’t think he is good enough for her daughter. She hires Becca to find dirt on Julius.
But what if there is no dirt to find and something else is found instead? Secrets are revealed that could change all of their lives.
I was given an ARC through BookSprout and am giving an honest review.
Becca is trying to figure out her life. She is working for a PI taking photos and is given the task of following Julius around. Julius is going to marry Ana and her mother is not happy about it at all. She wants something to show he is cheating on her daughter. Becca happens to be at the coffee shop that Julius frequents, and he overhears that she is a photographer. He wants to hire her for the wedding – what better way to spy on your target!! Becca is attracted to Julius and feels bad, because Ana is super sweet. Ana asks Becca to help with some of the wedding decisions – thus causing Becca and Julius to spend more time together.
What happens when the photographer is caught kissing the groom and the mother confronts Becca in front of Ana? Secrets come out, people get hurt, but what will happen with Becca and Julius? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Loved It ! Becca seems to have lost her way in the world. She still lives with her Dad and is aimlessly drifting along as a photographer for a private eye and not making very much money. She has two good friends and the daughter of one of them gets her a job to try and catch a "rascal" cheating on his fiancee. His future mother in law Claire, thinks he is a gold-digger and is determined that her daughter Ana will not marry him. Julius is a lovely person, handsome, witty and kind. The more Becca gets to know him the more she falls for him. But all is not as it would seem, there are many twists and turns in this book, some which I never worked out or saw coming. Running alongside is Becca's Dad's story too. There is an HEA but you will have to read the book to see who and how they get it.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Julius and Becca. Becca is a 25 year old divorcee and doesn't know what to do with her life, so she becomes a PI and a photographer. When she is hired to follow Julius by his future mother in law to find evidence he is not who he claims to be, she agrees. Julius knows Becca is following him, but he ignores it. When his fiance keeps getting Becca to go with Julius to plan the wedding, Becca learns Julius really is a nice guy and isn't cheating. Becca was also hired to take their engagement photos and uses that as an excuse to follow Julius. Becca feels horrible for her attraction to Julius, but things are not what they seems. I liked this book, although i think it was a little confusing with Becca's friends and her ex. I liked the book and when things are revealed, it makes sense and a good story.
Becca was a mess and was downright silly. Not a fan of Julius either.
Something didn’t sit right with this book. The characters were OTT and there was nothing redeemable in any of the main characters. Ana needed to stand up to her mum, Claire needed to get off her high-horse. The blurb sounded interesting, but it does not match what I read. All I read was an immature mid-20’s woman who ended up falling for an engaged man. She was selfish, and had zero clue. I might be off on this, but yes, the author tried to make this slightly funny, but it just fell flat. Not a fan of this one.
If the story matched the blurb, I could see myself enjoying this, but as it doesn’t, I’m finding it hard to rate.

Not Mine to Love. This story really surprised me! I enjoyed the book a lot. It was a different twist on finding love. Julius was getting married to Ana. Ana's mom overheard Becca talking about being a photographer. So she asked her to photograph the couple not for good reasons though. Claire didn't like Julius and thought he was cheating on Ana. Becca agreed to photograph them and try to find dirt on Julius. In doing so, Becca started having feelings for Julius to make matters worse. The whole situation becomes a mess and emotions fly. The story gets better as you read and I loved the surprise ending. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else's.
This is a different take on finding love and it was quite a surprise. There is Julius who is getting married to Ana. Ana's Mom does not like Julius and wants to see if there is any dirt on him. Then there is Becca, who is a part time photographer who works for a private investigator. Ana's mom hires Becca to see what she can find out about Julius. At the same time Julius and Ana hire Becca to be their wedding photographer. Becca though starts to have feelings for Julius even though she knows he is taken. There are some twists and turns, and it gets quite messy. There is a really good surprise ending. Enjoy!
I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book from Booksprout.
Rebecca (Becca) still lives with her father at the age of twenty-five. She kind of works as a photographer for a PI taking photos of sleazy people cheating on their spouses. Julius is getting married to the beautiful Ana. Becca is hired by the future mother-in-law from hell, Claire, to find dirt on Julius. She hates him with a vengeance and is a truly horrible person. She will pay Becca $10,000 to find anything at all. Julius meets Becca in a coffee shop and hires her to be his and Ana's wedding photographer. Only problem is that she finds him so very attractive. Photos. Feelings. Attraction. A very quiet bride. A gorgeous groom. Cheating. Incriminating photos. Caught. Betrayal. Pursued. Then finally - love.
This was an interesting concept. Julius and Ana were set to be married but her mother was against it. She hires Becca to catch Julius in a compromising position so she can call off the wedding. Becca is a young woman who doesn't really know what she wants to do with her life. She just knows that what she is doing or has done isn't working. She has a lot of self doubt, and a little self hate. Julius is a good guy who is helping his friend Ana and falls for Becca. I will admit there are times I wanted to yell at Becca to snap out of it but her self doubt just got to be to much. I think it spoke volumes about Becca's good character and sweet heart that herbest friends are her ex- husband's first wife and his sister This is a book you'll read until you finish.
Another great book by Summer Cooper. She never disappoints. This book was well written and the characters were just right. Becca was fed up with where her live was going but wasn't sure how to change it. Becca was freelancing for a pi taking photos of cheating partners but hated it. Her friends were a great help, they helped her with a website and a business plan. Becca gets a job following a guy called Julius, his mother in law to be doesnt like him and wants dirt on him to stop him marrying her daughter.Only Becca and Julius have an instant attraction that no one can miss. Things take a bit of a twist and everything comes to head. Its a great read, highly recommended. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Becca is a young divorcee and friends with Piper and Dana whom we met previously. She is at a crossroads in her life not sure which way to turn when an opportunity too good to turn down falls on her lap. She’s not happy doing the job but needs must. Julius Is her target she has to make him seem like the bad guy but he’s far from it and soon she falls for him. I loved him, he’s a good guy. This story had twists and humour and heat. Good to catch up with previous characters. I enjoyed it, although reading this book gave me a feeling of deja vu? It doesn’t deter from the fact I enjoyed it as I always do with Summers books. I received this arc on the promise of an honest review.
This is Becca's story she's a divorced twenty five year old who is still trying to figure out her life. Working as a photographer who moonlights for a PI firm tracking cheaters. Enter Claire Doogan who hires Becca to follow her daughters fiancé, Julius to dig up dirt and break them up. As Becca and Julius begin to get closer and their chemistry combusts her job to ruin him suddenly takes a backseat to her feelings for him. All is not as it seems and this funny, steamy short story takes you on a rollercoaster until the end. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Tangled web This book is about Becca and Julius. She was working as an undercover photographer for a P.I. looking for cheating spouses. It certainly wasn’t what she’d hoped to be doing! A woman approached her to hire her services privately to hopefully catch out her daughter’s fiancé doing something scandalous, so as to break them up. That ‘fiance’ also employed her as his wedding photographer. This was only the start of the mixed mess that was Becca’s life. There was so much drama and secrecy and deception, amongst the friendships, love, romance and steam. I give this book four and a quarter stars. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I so enjoyed Julius and Becca’s story. Becca is a private investigator and gets pictures of cheating wives, husbands, etc. her newest client wants dirt on her daughter’s fiancé, Julius. Becca just wasn’t planning on falling in love with her mark. I loved this storyline and all the characters in this story. Her friends are the best. Becca and Julius have hot chemistry and you get to see that in their scenes. Hot, hot, hot. These two have such a strong connection, but what happens when truths are revealed? You’ll have to read to find out all that happens and realize that not everything is as it seems.
Becca is a divorcee who is done with men, and she is working as a PI, and she is hired to follow Julius by his future mother-in-law, who is not a fan. Becca is not very good at being discreet and Julius confronter her and hires her to become the photographer at the wedding. It does not take Becca long to discover Julius is nothing like she has been told. This is a good story which is a quick read, with undeniable chemistry, intrigue twists, truths, secrets, and love, which leads to an enjoyable page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author and I recommend her work. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Is their love taboo or real? Standalone with No Cliffhangers. Becca has had a crazy life so far, married and divorced. Friends with her ex's ex-wife, living with her dad, and needing a real job. Then she takes on a PI job that pays well, but has her falling for the man she should be finding dirt on. Oh and he's engaged. So many fun twists and turns to keep you on your toes. I could understand Becca's final struggle, and liked that Summer didn't just end the book with an obvious happily ever after. You do get a HEA but it was not an easy ending, they both had to work for it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Becca needs money and to find something that she is good at. When she is referred to a client to 'investigate', Julius, a soon-to-be son-in-law, she jumps at the chance. Accidentally meeting Julius, he hires her to be the photographer at the wedding. Soon, Becca realizes that Julius is one of the good ones and hates that she is supposed to be digging up dirt on him. This a good short story featuring growing; finding the right person; standing up to others; and true friendship.
