Each book in this series has been such amazing reads full of action, growth, love, and every emotion in between. From page one Leo and Domina’s story grips you and doesn’t let you go until the very end. Leo has a lot of scars physical and emotional from his life in the military and some still haunt and affect him every day, his pain is so real your heartaches, but you see the strength he has, and it makes you smile at how amazing he truly is. When the day he meets Domina everything changes for both, and they are both in the middle of something that has their lives in danger. With the help of the guys in previous books they all embark on this intense journey that is full of nonstop action. Leo and Domina become closer but with so much going on and ghosts that haunt them will they be able to set it aside to find a future? This book like all the rest is so emotional and had me falling in love with each character this series is just amazing and keeps you on your toes.

Patricia is such a good writer each word just flows and life stops as you can’t stop reading! The characters all have so much to offer but don’t believe in themselves, they never give up though. My favourite character Trevor appears along with Austin and they along with Domina made Leo see his true worth. This book had plenty of suspense and action along with a heartwarming love story between Leo and Domina. Old friends such as Ronan and Zephyr also help which made this a great team effort. Overall another 5 star read and one I would really recommend. If you haven’t read a book by this author before please start you won’t regret it.

Patricia D. Eddy continues to wow me with another amazing romantic suspense set in her “Gone Rogue” series, a series of standalone novels. The “Gone Rogue” series takes place in the same world as her “Away From Keyboard” series and several characters crossover into this book, and knowing their backstory is beneficial and adds more depth, though unnecessary since everything you need to know about them is told. “Rogue Defender” is Leo and Domino’s story, and what a story it is. Leo is a former CIA, and a broken man, both physically and mentally. He is living a quiet life in Panama, working as a private investigator. When his neighbor, Domina, gets attacked in her apartment, he goes to her rescue and knocks out the guy who broke into her apartment. Domina is the speech writer for Panamanian Vice President, who is campaigning for the presidency. She does not know why anyone would break in to her apartment or what they are after, but the more she thinks about it, the more she realizes it was not a random break in. Leo admired Domina from afar, but after meeting her, he took an instant liking to her and he became her protector. His training and experience tells him she is in trouble and he wants to find out why and who is behind the why. He has connections that help him with some of his private investigations, but calls in the big guns, his former colleagues, with AFK connections. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a cleverly plotted story and has the perfect balance of drama, angst, action, mystery, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Patricia D. Eddy, thank you for another amazing story and the wild and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧And for the fantastic narration, Sebastian York and Elle Cleviden did a great job bringing these characters and story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed. York is amazing at everything he does, and his Leo was spot on, grasping every side of his personality, his inner torment and determination. Cleviden was great as Domina, accent and all, she too grasped all sides of her personality and she did a decent job voicing the other characters but I would have preferred York to voice all of Leo’s parts. They set the perfect tone for the story and captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and their narration enhanced the story to another level. Thank you for an amazing listen.

A broken down ex CIA agent and a speech writer for the next President of Panama come together in the most unlikely circumstances. Leo lives next door to Domina and has never met her, until one night he saves her from an intruder. She’s wary at first, she doesn’t need anyone to “save” her but Leo goes out of his way to help her the best way he can and when he kisses her after another incident….she doesn’t want to stay away. Unfortunately there is something going on and her boss is in danger and the only one who can muddle through all the sh*** and find out what is going on and protect Domina is him….but he will need some help…not easy for a man who is used to being a lone wolf….and he will need all the help he can get to save both of them.
HOLY SMOKES!!!! Hold on for ride that will have ups and downs, like roller coaster…a coaster you won’t want to get off of, even at the end. Leo may be broken, his body ready to give out, scars inside and out but Domina sees past all that….she sees the beautiful fierce protector who will do anything for her. They heal each other, their psychological and emotional scars that they have plenty of and when it comes down to it….they heal the broken pieces and fit perfectly together. The story flowed beautifully with descriptions that are spot on and Leo and Domina….sigh and swoon.
I would have liked an epilogue with these two to see what happens next, but even with that missing, I couldn’t give it less than five stars.

Rogue Defender met every expectation I've come to have about just how good Patricia Eddy is at her craft. I have yet to be even the slightest bit disappointed in any one of her books. The level of detail in the action, suspense, danger and drama are second to none. And the spicy romance? Phew! Reconnecting with characters from the Away From the Keyboard series and previous Gone Rogue books is a huge plus. Political intrigue, assassination plots, corrupt government officials and election manipulations make Rogue Defender timely in its parallel to current world events.
Leo Basher considers himself a washed up, CIA operative has been. Everything he's endured for the past 22 years has suddenly come home to roost. His body rebels on him without notice and he doesn't know what it's like not being in pain anymore. The best he can hope for is working a few P.I. jobs a month so he can eat and pay the rent. Living next door to Domina Sanchez may be the only bright spot in his otherwise dull existence. Coming to the rescue of this beautiful woman sets off a chain of events neither one of them could have never anticipated. It's quickly apparent there's a spark of attraction between them. Though, for the life of him why she would want him is anybody's guess. Domina sees the man beneath the scars: the protector, the defender, her knight in dented armor. Keeping Domina safe is all Leo really cares about. Unfortunately there are others who have other ideas and Leo gets pushed to the breaking point. Fortunately, for him, he has a team on his six. He needs to remember he's no longer alone.

This story is full of action packed scenes, realistic politics, fantastic friends, a team that is beyond compare and a love that can see what is truly important. It's amazing!
Sebastian York and Elle Cleviden are our story tellers and these two can tell a story! York pulls himself into the mind of Leo. He shows the damage, but also the determination, love and hope along with his bravery. Cleviden is a master at accents, bringing Domina alive. She is intent and passionate both at work and love. These two were fabulous and kept me captivated.

Hoopla listen narrated by Sebastian York and Elle Cleviden.
I don’t even know. How did a series with two great first books fail so hard on the last two books? It started out with a fantastic premise, wounded hero’s that Sebastian York rocked. Fast to fall in love paragons of sexual virtue 🙄😂 The women were pretty easy to connect with although they didn’t communicate, nothing unusual there.
So this book…Domina didn’t really do anything other than whine. Elle’s exaggerated Spanish accent was too strong to understand at times. Even to the point of confusing when speaking in a male voice (think Latin Christian Bale Batman begging to “knock boots”, like they called it in the last book 😂). Wait a second….a cigarette smoking Salma Hayek only with a thicker accent! Strangely enough, it sounded and worked better when I sped it up to 1.20x. I hate speeding up a book, I’d rather savor it.
Leo is the most broken of them all, his body almost destroyed, missing toes and an eye. Interesting to listen to a book about a guy so self conscious. I’m not sure why he thought his secret would make her hate him, I mean, duh! He thinks she has betrayed him while being taken, after he lost an eye, body parts and expects her to withstand all of that possible torture and is worried about betrayal?!? WTF!?! And BTW!!!!! He endures hours of torture and is still DTF…okay, that right there…yeah, that’s my type. 🔥😌😁

Patricia Eddy brings us beautifully broken characters with depth and precision again and again. Rogue Defender is book 4 in this series and pulled me in from beginning to end! Leo has his damage and his scars, and though he thinks he is satisfied with his solo life in Panama everything is turned upside down when he comes to the rescue of his neighbor when she is attacked in her home. He is ex-CIA with all of the physical and emotional damage that goes along with that life. In spite of his injuries he comes to her rescue, interrupts the attacker and scares him off. Domina is fulfilled in her career as head speechwriter for the VP of Panama in his campaign for President and happy with her independent existence…until everything changes. Excellent romantic suspense with plenty of steam and story to hook you and keep you engaged in the characters and the story. This story will keep you on your toes and the steam will curl them up good! Patricia is an audio connoisseur with a terrific ear for pairing the narrator to the character/story. Sebastian York delivers another excellent performance as Leo and really seals the deal with an exquisite emotional, sexy, suspenseful story. Ella Cleviden is a new narrator to me. Her beautiful accent matches the Domina as I pictured her. I would definitely listen to more performances by her. Once again, excellent casting, editing, proofing, and performances!

Omg, I've waited for audible for so long to bring me Patricia d Eddy that I happy danced for the whole book.
This plotline was just amazingly brilliant, it was paced, emotional, romantic, hot, angsty and totally gut-wrenching. I cannot begin to describe how clever this story was and bringing in previous keyboard and rogue characters was a cherry on the cake. I loved, loved, loved it. The plotline detail was intricate and beautifully surprising, the ending in all aspects was magnificent.
I am not a huge fan of relistening to a series. However, with keyboard and rogue..I'm definitely doing it.
The narrator's for this book were simply perfect. Sebastian York...what can I say....you just can't go wrong with his voice.
And Elle Cleviden....her accents and tone just gave Domina life.
And I have to add, her tone for the male voice is one of a few, that for me, can actually pull it off successfully. Not to mention the other books have fantastic narrator's as well...Aiden Snow !!!
There were long stints between Patricia's books in this series ( and keyboard) but past stories flowed back to me then flowed forward with clever writing. Thankyou for a brilliant book.

Everytime I read one of Patricia's books I think that she just can't write any better and the lo and behold her next book comes out and it knocks its predecessor from the favourite spot and this latest addition is no different A thrill ride that takes off from almost the first page and never slows down.
Leo is ex Cia and he was great at his job no matter how much rum and tequila he drank but listening to the sh...t storm that was the rescue of Trevor (see Call Sign Redemption) made him rethink his life he has left the Cia and also left the bottle behind and is working private cases in Panama and life is easier That is until he hears a break in at his neighbours home and goes to the rescue and meets Domina now he is life is changed for ever as he finds he wants more than he ever thought he would But Domina is in danger due to her job with Panama's government It will take all of Leo's CIA skills and help from former friends and allies if he is to keep her alive But it will take her love to make him realise he is worthy of the life she is promising

WOW!!! This is action packed intense rollercoaster ride, full of danger, suspense, intrigue, angst, physical & emotional scars, heartache, love, pain, strength, twists that have you turning the pages.
Leo is ex CIA was excellent at his job no matter how much alcohol he drank but hearing about what Trevor went through to survive within an inch of his life made him sit up & decide to how hiw his life was going he needed to change things.
Domina works for Panama gov't he meets her when her place gets broken into their neighbors, she in danger because of her job & is reluctant to take his help she doesn't trust him because of his past & hers, her heart is also on the line.
I definitely recommend to get this phenominal story up see if Leo can save Domina using all his CIA skills help from former allies to keep her alive, will she prove to Leo the love she has for him makes him worthy you must get this book to see what happens. PHENOMINAL MUST READ STORY!!

Patricia D Eddy does it again with another gripping tale that grabs your attention and won’t let go until the last word. I started this book as a way to clear my brain, I was supposed to read a few chapters, then get back to work. Instead, I devoured the book because I just couldn’t stop.
Leo and Domina are made for each other and the stuff they go through to find (and keep) each other is intense and will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what happens next.
I would highly recommend this book to ANYONE!

From page one Leo's book grabs your attention. A fast-paced, danger filled, suspenseful story with intrigue that of course brings in some of the Away From the Keyboard guys and gals to help save the day. Leo was always so heartbreaking when we see him previously, so it was terrific to see him find someone to see beyond his scars to the protective, loving, devoted man beneath the gruff exterior...and Domina was that woman and she was quite the match for him. Tough in her own right, with her own protective instincts for Leo, these two were perfect for each other and get a beautiful HEA after battling the fight of their lives to survive again, together. And narration brings it to life...I always love listening to Sebastián York.

Just when I think Ms Eddy couldn’t wow me more with her exceptional writing skills and amazing talent of storytelling, she manger to surprise me yet again. I’m so in heart with this read, I don’t even know where to begin. This is a story of survival, friendship, heartbreak, grief and a love and understanding so great that it can fixed the most broken of men. Leo and Domina are a couple that manage to touch your very soul. Such is the depth and dimension of this authors exciting way of presenting a story thats so real and compelling, it will have you in all your feels. Plus, the added bonus of getting some old favorites to drop in for a visit is always great.

In "Rogue Defender" by Patricia D. Eddy, when Leo defends his neighbor Domina against a break he think it's against a simple burglar. When he learns that Domina is a speech writer for the president to be he realizes that this wasn't just a break in but an attempt at an assignation. As he begins to develop feelings for Domina he knows he has to protect her and hijinks occur.. As is usual for a PED book this book was slow to get started but once it picked up got much better and was an excellent book.
Audio: As usual Patricia D. Eddy provided us with an excellent narration. Having a female with a definite Spanish accent made it a little more difficult to listen to it my option.

With one crashing sound, retired CIA agent Leo literally jumps into action to help his neighbor. But helping Domina with the intruder places Leo in the middle of a Panamanian government assassination attempt and puts both his and Domina's life in jeopardy. With the help of his "family" the reader is taken on a wild ride filled with the best that Patricia D. Eddy has to offer. Wonderful characters, high emotions, action packed chapter after chapter and in the end a heart warming HEA. This book should not be missed.

Leo and Domina’s story was everything. Right from the very beginning these two had me enthralled and gripping my kindle tightly. They continually pulled on my heartstrings and had me crossing my fingers hoping for a happy ever after in here somewhere for the both of them.
The story was suspenseful, action-packed, insanely emotional, danger and drama filled, plus with some very heartwarming moments and I could not get enough of it.
Really well written story. I look forward to the next one by this incredible author.

Domina and Leo's story is one of Patricia's best. I loved the characters, the world they inhabitated, and the constant tension as the story unfolded. Leo....wow. He is definitely one of my all time favorite male characters she has created. Strong, damaged, determined and intensely in love with Domina. Holy hotness. I loved that we get to see other characters from previous books. No worries though...if your picking this book up out of order, the story will not be any less exciting or enjoyable. You don't need the other books but I promise you will want to read them!

What a great read!! Rogue Defender is Leo and Domina's story, another story for the Gone Rogue series. I loved the fact that alot of the older characters from Away From The Keyboard series are mentioned and used in this story. It grabbed me from the very first chapter and I hated to see this story end. As usual her Beautifully Broken characters are fantastic. Great job Patrica D. Eddy . I highly recommend all her stories, starting with the Away From The Keyboad series and continue from there.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. Ohhh, Leo and Domina. Such a sweet story with lots of characters from previous books - if not actually appearing in person than via mentioning. Patricia has a very good hand with words. Through her books usually carry a lot of melancholy it's the growing together of the characters that always gets me. Such high loyality between all the people on their side.

The pace of this story is fast and unforgiving just like the torture Leo suffered. When he saves his neighbor from a brutal attack he has no idea what he's getting himself into. He just wants to enjoy his retirement from the CIA but he's suddenly in the middle of an assassin attempt on her boss. Lots of violence, both current and in the past, while Leo and Domina fall in love.

This is the fourth book in the Gone Rogue Series, a Military Romance. Leo and Domina's story is intense, suspenseful, and emotional,, filled with action, and twists and turns. The storyline is captivating. The supporting characters are great. Great narration from Sebastian York and Elle Cleviden. If you like Romantic Suspense, this series is for you!

Patricia D. Eddy has such a wonderful way of developing broken, beautiful heroes and the women who fall in love with them. This book is no exception!
