Flirting: How To Relax and Enjoy

Rate this book
Flirting is supposed to be lighthearted, not serious. It’s a low-stakes, low-pressure bid for contact where it’s understood that the other person may pick up on your overture or not. But most people do not view flirting that way. They take it personally if they make a bid for more connection, and the other does not respond in kind.

Flirting gets easier and less scary once you learn how to be present. When you are aware of the sensations of your body and can objectively notice the thoughts running around in your mind, that’s a big part of presence. Your attention is on this moment, not on the future — which helps you feel more confident, and less worried about how things will turn out.

Good basic information on overcoming shyness and self-consciousness when flirting, but too short to be of any real use. More like a pamphlet than a book.
