Everything was supposed to be fine.

Characters: Kassidy has changed so much between this book and Where the Lycans Howl. She’s paranoid, dramatic, and constantly overthinking. The best part about her in this book was her coping skills. I also cope by ignoring everything until I either cannot or it’s no longer a problem, so I like reading about like-minded FMCs.

Plot/Story: It all makes sense in the end, to the point I wish we got more details. I’d be happy to read about the whole situation 100-150 years ago. I’d be happy to get a witch-book based on Witch River.

Smiling at the End . . .
Kass and Keaton really care for everyone and want what is best. The trilogy showed lots of growth in the characters. It was good to see that Kass, who in the beginning seemed naïve finally came into her powers. Will there be a HEA for all? Grab your copy and see how their story concludes.

Kass and Keaton Solid and I love them. This was the perfect ending to this series. I enjoyed the back and forth. There was more dynamics of hatred between the different people wanted to live but in the end it all worked out. I enjoyed the twist and how it all ended in the series. Such a cute story.

Now this is what I would call the perfect conclusion to this triology..I enjoyed this whole triology but this book is the best among the three..I'm a sucker for HEAs and this one brought a big smile on my face..Good Fast paced story line,Wonderful Characters and one intense chemistry!So Worth it..

I started reading Lola Glass books in random order - her newer books first - then focused on the books from those same worlds.
I had to stop because most of them got really old. They were a replay of every other book. And frankly most of the possessive/obsessive/dominant male characters are borderline abusive.
I decided to read this series because so far there aren’t other books that connect.
If I would’ve started with this series & continued to read the newer books I would’ve been even more let down & annoyed than I already am.
I gave this 5-stars because the series is refreshing!
Great characters, great storyline/conflict & even better dynamic between Kass & Keaton. I’m sad for the conclusion.
Lots of the book went between Keaton working on the cure & Kass working on her business/art with the two of them getting to know her other more & Kass contemplating her future- either back in AZ, as alpha or none of it except being with Keaton.
Finally have sex & mate. Worry that she might be pregnant. Keaton proposes, with beautiful ring of course, & gives her time to think it over.
Kass leads pack runs & leans toward being alpha if not just generally wanting to help them as more & more are cured. Kass & Keaton try to research about how Lycans were created. Eventually elder explains to Keaton how he can use his power to see the past.
Throughout the story Rachel decides to stay in LB. Kass meets Ryan - the man her mom was with for 7 yrs before Kass’s dad came along. Kass’s emotions are conflicted but more because she wished she could’ve made her mom half as happy as Ryan. Kass & Keaton also make plans to go to AZ, pack up Kass’s things & move back to Alaska but not sure where. Things get complicated & because Addie wants to get away, Kass makes a deal w/her for the AZ stuff.
At some point, I can’t remember exactly when everything hits Kass & she has a breakdown. The town killed her dad & no one has paid for it, the people that destroyed her property had no repercussions, the pack she’s supposed to be alpha of kidnapped her for breeding etc. and she blames herself for the violence that happened when Keaton & Rachel tried to escape. More conflict goes on about who from LM is agreeing w/her being alpha.. etc. Travis & some other guys stay near the house, or in the house, protecting Kass.
Keaton & Kass discover she is pregnant. Kass & Keaton get engaged. Kass bonds with Ryan some.
Once Keaton sees the past, it leads to Witch River. They find out more about the witch’s curse & never being able to enter half the town because wolf blood is needed. That night in the hotel Amy attacks them, Kass is severely wounded but one of Keaton’s concoctions saves her. They return to LB to pack their stuff up, a bunch of family decides to go with & in a few days LM people will meet them.
They break the magic to get into neighborhood. Very rundown. Leader of a coven makes a deal W/Keaton for his other concoctions. Witches will have neighborhoods ready for all in a week. Keaton gets job offer with that coven because of his chemistry. Keaton’s parents open a diner, Hudson opens a steak restaurant, other things like wolf-themed gift shops for tourists etc.
jumps to months later, Kass & Keaton have their 4 month old girl - Perry. Get married.
Again, I loved the dynamics between Kass & Keaton. Even though there were moments of “just friends,” or “does he only love me because of the mate bond,” &/or “I’m a dangerous monster,” their relationship was always solid. They both supported one another. Keaton, even with the possessivness, let the male wolves into the house, interact with Kass & protect her. He wasn’t overly domineering.
Their back & forth banter was perfect up until Kass started going on about all of Keat’s money & that he’d buy her anything.. she went from -no don’t buy me all these clothes to Keaton is my sugar daddy. Which, the sugar-daddy comment was sarcasm between the two of them, but other comments she made weren’t.
I wish Lola kept writing books like this!

This is book three of the Moon of the Monsters series and the main characters are fated mates Keaton and Kass (K). Keaton has taken over from her father’s work in producing a cure for the monsters and lycans of Loup Mountain, a father she never knew. He was killed by the people of Loup Mountain who were less accepting of outsiders and the initial bad reactions to his cure. Keaton was a monster when K first met him and fell in love with him. Their relationship has progressed slowly, both bust with studies and work. Plus Kass had the issues from being kidnapped and held prisoner by the people wanting to make her breed. It was discovered that she had a special gift, that of Alpha and more than ten thousand wolves and monsters have followed her to Lyka Bay. Waiting for her to take up the role of their alpha, even though there are still some out there who want her dead, Amy and Penny, the previous alpha, in particular. A role she still thinks she has no right to and which she has no real experience of, having been raised mundane by her mother after her father’s death. They are all living in the forests around Keaton’s cabin, not wanting to go back to Loup Mountain, not that there is room for all of them there either!
Kass needs to find out more about the wolves background and where the pack originally came from, to see if there is any sort of housing solution available. Keaton is rich in his own rights, due to some of his inventions, but even he isn’t wealthy enough to make a dent in what is needed. Kass can’t bear to see them living in the forest, especially with all the storms and snow they have to contend with, as well as the range of ages waiting for her to step up, from newborn to elderly. Her life is still in danger from those who want her dead, so her gift can be passed onto someone else within the pack, but even those who hurt her and her family, she still cares for! The pack has a range of eleven known gifts, not all available at the same time. As they look into the history of the pack and where it must have originally come from, they realise Keaton has a gift as well, able to see the past. Kass wants to get some time alone with Keaton, to go back and pack up her old apartment and life, before making Lyka Bay her permanent home. They don’t get the chance to do this, but they do finally complete their bonding, which sets off a bit of a frenzy of steamy days, before they come back down to normal again.
Kass and Keton find out that the wolves were poisoned by witches more than a hundred years ago, which led to the curse they suffered from. It was just supposed to be a temporary thing and the magic had long been forgotten as the wolves had been driven from their home. Now Kass and Keaton have discovered their true home origin and the witches are keen to see the wolves return and make a contract with Keaton for some of his exotic inventions, with healing properties, and many other medicinal uses. In return, the witches are willing to help them with renovating the old houses the wolves used to own. Kass has finally realised what it is her gift can actually do for the pack and sees the use of her gift help those in the forest and around her. They will follow her as their new alpha, but she still has the old alpha and her friend to contend with, as well as knowing whoever killed her father, is one of those around her. She also has guilt on her side, knowing Keaton and her mother killed others, in order to save her form her captors. A new start is needed by all and a fresh slate has been provided by uncovering long held secrets from the past! A great finale to the series with lots of danger still and huge decisions to be made, for the future they want to live in. Let’s talk about the third and final book in this series.
First of all, when I finished it, there was a short author’s note that said something like: “Lola is a woman in her twenties with a slight obsession with werewolves and a passion for true love.” And I literally thought — that’s me. I am Lola.
I think that’s exactly why I connect so deeply with this author’s books. I love true love stories. I love wolf shifters. I love the concept of mates — the idea that there’s one person made for you. I find that so powerful and romantic. Honestly, I would live in that world just for that.
Now, about this third book. I devoured it. The entire series is over 600 pages combined, and I read the three books in about three days — maybe because I didn’t have internet at the time and just fully dedicated myself to reading. The third one specifically? I finished it in hours. Not even a full day. That’s how hooked I was.
The story itself was very good. Emotionally intense, dramatic, full of consequences. But I have to admit — I got frustrated.
What bothered me the most is how much she blamed herself for things that were not her fault. People died protecting her, yes. But that was their choice. They chose violence. They chose to kidnap her. They chose to attack her family. That is not on her.
If someone confirms they killed your father because he murdered someone for a “cure,” and then they get killed because they were the outsider — that may be “logical” within their world, but it still doesn’t justify blaming her for everything that followed.
And don’t even get me started on the hypocrisy.
Some of the same people who supported her kidnapping later turned around and tried to make her feel guilty. One of them literally accepted the kidnapping plan — and then later blamed her for the consequences. No. Absolutely not. If your partner died because he chose to participate in something violent, that is not her burden to carry.
Yes, one character apologized — and I respected that. But others? They treated her terribly. The shop owners were rude to her. Some family members were cruel. And yet, in the end, she gives them houses. She gives them support. She lets them live comfortably.
I’m not saying she shouldn’t be kind. But sometimes it felt less like kindness and more like self-erasure.
Even when her husband signed away things that benefited others, delaying their own comfort, she just accepted it. They endured hardship. They sacrificed constantly. And while I understand generosity — I also wanted boundaries.
She was either incredibly good… or incredibly naïve. Maybe both.
And then the ending.
That’s where I couldn’t give it five stars.
We get the baby. We get the name. But then — it just cuts. It feels rushed. I wanted more. What happens next? How does their child grow up in this world? What about the political consequences? What about the emotional aftermath? It felt like the story stopped right when I wanted one more chapter.
So no, not five stars.
Four stars.
Because the journey was amazing. The romance was strong. The bond between them was beautiful. The mate dynamic? Still my favorite thing in the world.
But the ending felt slightly incomplete. Not bad — just too fast. I needed more closure.
Still… I finished it in hours. That says everything.

I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Audiobook Empire. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.
I was so happy to see all the closure and growth for our main character in this final book. She went through so much in the previous books, especially the stressful kidnapping and almost forced breeding (*shudders in Woman in the USA*).
Kass and Keaton's relationship bloomed so beautifully and believably in book 3, so my complaints about the previous book are in the past. I enjoyed listening to them go from yes-we're-really-into-each-other-this-is-it to the HEA family they achieved by the epilogue. I love books with a good story arch and a HEA.
I also enjoyed the further world-building discovering the witches and the true origin of the Lycan monsters. I loved the feeling of belonging and home when the packs found their history and could combine and return where they felt they fit the best. That belonging was what Kass has been searching for the entire story. While there are still plenty of heartbreaks, the ending fits.
I loved the audio, yet again. I was even more into the pleasantly surprising POV shift to Keaton's narration. It was scary also to have that sudden shift, not knowing what would happen to Kass.
Overall, a great series. If you're a fan of shifter romance and female leads who take control and don't give in or give up until they find the right fit for everyone they care about - then this series is for you.

Don’t overthink yourself out of reading this one.
The story takes place where you read even more about what is going on inside the main characters head. I feel like the kind of an over thinker is really shown in this story. Being an over thinker myself I can relate. Then the aspect of how do you move forward when so many have hurt you is answered in this book. The series shows how the love develops between the two, I love the almost realistic parts of him having his life and her too. How they simply can just exist in the same room without needing to be extra about it. I feel like we forget how much those little things can matter. Good job on another good book. Interesting ending glad everyone found the place they were meant to be even if unexpected.

An excellent conclusion to this trilogy. I was so invested in getting more Keaton and Kass but also in learning more about the history of the creatures and the werewolf abilities.
The romance is strong in this one which I really enjoyed and it thankfully ends happily ever after. But the journey these lovers go on to get there is exciting and a real page turner. These two strong, independent characters really shine together but I love that they can exist without each other at the same time.
This book takes K & K on a real ride as they discover so much about themselves and their world. Lola Glass writes some of my favourite characters and the situations she puts them into are unique and exciting until the very end.
The romance is strong in this one which I really enjoyed and it thankfully ends happily ever after. But the journey these lovers go on to get there is exciting and a real page turner. These two strong, independent characters really shine together but I love that they can exist without each other at the same time.

'Where the monsters' change is the third book in the "Moon of the monsters" series.
I enjoyed reading this one extensively more than the prior book in this series. The story gradually aggregates more towards the foundation of the wolves which made the book a lot more intriguing. The plot edges to Kass being the Alpha and of course the wolves as a whole.
I liked the dynamic between Kass and Keaton and just loved their chitchat. My favourite scene would be the proposal scene both the first and second, it beautifully showed their bond.
The story promises more at the end and I loved how things played out for everyone.
The series sure had its ups and downs, this might not be my most favourable series by Lola but it wasn't bad either. I would recommend giving this one a try for sure🤗.

exceptional!!
I adore Kass and Keaton!! This was such a fun trilogy! What started out as a simple “I want to know where I came from” turned into “let’s build a community and a place people can have a home”…. With a lot of intrigue, mystery, life and death moments, discovery, and love all thrown in to the mix!! And it wasn’t all just Kass and Keaton. Mass’s mom, keaton’s family, as well as others from the different places all got to be introduced and grow as the series continues. I love when the author does a great job of that. Watching characters grow and evolve during series isn’t as easy as it seems, but the author did a phenomenal job! Overall, it’s a beautiful thing and I loved it!!!

This is the reason why Lola Glass is one of my favorite authors.
To be able to keep the energy into the third book and at the same time give you a desire to read more, is a 5 star from me.
Finally, the K's the love and heat blossoms. But like us "ordinary people", they also need confirmation that it is for forever. They both have a huge heart for people around them and want what is best for everyone.
This book is all about love (spicy), action and a new beginning. Really recommend this book, as well as the entire series.

Ending could be better
I really love the book but I felt like the ending was rushed a bit I think it needed to show more information of when the houses were getting done maybe specific things and some of the main characters houses and then how the main characters were settling in from both sides especially that teenage boy that thought she was his mate we just stopped here about him in book two. And it would have been nice to see them and they're working environments after they settle down and some information about their child's birth and then an epilogue for like 10 years in the future with maybe additional kids involved

Some who book three ended up being threw wildest out of all the books with introduction of the witches. I still feel like they seemed a little too welcoming and that everything wrapped up a little too nicely. I guess I’m glad that Kass and Keaton end up together but still didn’t care that much about them. Most of the book felt very Monotonous with them working and eating for most of the book.
Final thoughts on the series: meh and honestly not worth the time it took to read them all.
Side note: can’t remember what book it was for sure but all the attempts on her life especially from someone’s brother was a little much for someone to help.

This is the final book in the trilogy and Kass and Keaton are quite the pair, they make an amazing team and support systemfor eachother. We definitely get to see them work as a pair in this book and making decisions to better the future for not just themselves but the pack also. Although I miss Keaton's possessive and grumbly monster it was fun to also see him adjust to the werewolf life. Lola is a amazing story teller and always makes the situations as real as possible. 💗

Easy Read 📚
This series was a nice easy read which i read over the weekend 💖
In the final book we see the rest of the Loup mountain pack receive the cure & Keaton is taught how to use his gift to find out more about how the cure originated and where they all came from.
Kass learns how the pack can benefit from her gift.
When they discover the city where they all came from they make a deal with the covens in witch river that will accommodate everyone who wants to move there from Loup mountain and lyka Bay.
Nice wrap up of the series.

Can I meet Kass?
I was nervous about this series. It had been awhile since I read a paranormal series. This was a great way to get back into that genre.
The characters were great. I liked the difference in the lore then what you usually get. The world was nice. It amazes me how Kass is with everything that goes on this the stories.
The ending was perfectly done. Gave us an ending a little progress from when the story ends. But open enough you can imagine their futures if you are into that.

Boring
So book 1 - nice and really had me interested
Book 2- pretty much lost Mr. The relationship turned boring and hard to want to tolerate... I want a strong possessive man.... but not possessive... but I want it too.... like GAG. The all over the place relationship or lack there of turned so high school... along with the actual story that lost traction for me.... and I lost interest. There was potential but poor execution in the end.
I've liked other books by this author but this one flopped for me.

It was kinda average. Not my favorite but not my least favorite. I like that there was a town of witches that they joined but I wish that we had seen more of them settling down in that town and their lives there. Not sure why they had a baby but it ending with their wedding was sweet. I still don’t understand why everyone hated her for literally no reason but it worked out in the end. I am seriously sad we didn’t get more with the witch town tho or more of their origin story or history and stuff.

Meh
It took me a while to finish this book because it just didn't hold my interest. I finished this book due to sheer stubborness about completing the series. I think this book could have been shortened or the important information added to the second book. Most things were repetitive throughout, which left me skimming most of the book. Within the last 100 pages, things seemed to pick up pace to the point where they almost seemed rushed.
All in all, the book ended happily for everyone involved, and all problems were handled.

What a great trilogy !
In this book we get to explore the werewolves powers in depth and learn the origins of the towns and lycanism. The romance vibes are strong as Kass and Keat face hurdles, we learn more about them as individuals and as a perfect couple. In the last book, I couldn't begin to imagine how Lola would end the series, and was in for lots of fun surprises. It's definitely worth reading !

I really wanted to like this series but I just didn’t. It’s was just very one dimensional. Eat, shower, work repeat with a very little conflict or other characters thrown in. The conflict that did happen was over too quickly and the rest of the book just felt like filler. I adore Lola and have read all of her books but this is my least favorite series of hers. Kass and Keaton were fine but everything else was lacking.

in love with this author’s writing
I loved this series! I only wish Lola would have extended this book into maybe 2 books. It felt rushed and I am so I love with this story I wanted more details and the story to last longer! So Lola- please make more novellas with these characters like Addie and Hudson and whatever happened with Travis and what about Jack? I need more of this story!! :)

Once again Avie Paige and Zachary Johnson did a wonderful job portraying Kass and Keeton. With a little Magic and Negotiating Kenton and Kass are able to help all the werewolves in both towns and find out their history. Of course not everyone is happy with how things are turning out and adds a little action to the story. In the end everyone is better off than they started, Ms. Glass has done a marvelous job bringing this Lycan world to life.

The truth, the lies, the pain, the hea. This series has it all. Kass and Keaton figure out what is missing and find the way to make it work. Kass stared out as naive and a little predictable but by the end of this book she has come into her powers. I hope there is more from this world in the future!. Lola did it again!
I loved all three books! Kass kept you on your toes and not knowing who was going to strike at her next made it that much h more interesting. I loved how fiercely Keaton loved Kass and how their story ended in happily ever after. If you love fated mates then it's a must read.

I throughly enjoyed the final book in the series. K & K deserved their happy ending …. But what happened before they got there - Wow! It took me to a place I didn’t even think to go, and in doing so they found their origins.

This was an amazing conclusion to this series!! I am always so sad when a series like this ends because I want it to keep going so I know what happens next. There is so much I would still lo e to still see where it goes. Maybe even branches off on other characters.
