absolutely fantastic
It starts off running, you are thrown into the thick of it straight off. Alaia is a unique main character with a really horrible past. I found her fascinating and intense.
The blood, gore and sexual tension is off the charts.
This book is so secretive, along with the cat and mouse games between Alaia and Max was just perfection.
It’s written with such detail and emotion you just fall into the storyline- the twists, suspense and that element of mystery have you sitting at the edge of your chair. I honestly couldn’t put this book down until the very last word at 3:30am - This author is absolutely fantastic, I was completely mesmerised by this book and that ending was brutal!

Wow, what a read. From the first page till the end you will be hooked and unable to put down. It moves along at a pace which is perfect for the flow of the story. It has amazing characters that you will love and want to know more about and a story that has to be read. This book needs to be on your TBR list, no doubt about it.

I have read several of Tami's books and this has been one of my favorites. I was hooked from the very first page and could not put it down. I love how blood thirsty these charters are and cannot wait for the next book to come out! Please mind the triggers if you are sensitive reader.

Wow just wow. I'm not usually a big fan of books with triggers but this one is so well written I couldn't put it down. The fmc is brilliant to about and will keep you hooked. Amazing.

Dark, gritty and raw. That’s the gist of this one. And let me tell you it’s amazing.
Alaia is an interesting antihero. I love how bloodthirsty she is and really gets into her marks. Dax is an antihero too but he just goes through the motions, only when it’s one that resonates with him does he let the bloodthirsty devil out.
We get to see some familiar faces. And chaos of course ensues.
This will take you for a wild ride where the ending rips your damn heart out and tortures it for good measure. I don’t want their story to end. I’m not convinced it’s over.

I really enjoyed Alaia, she was a survivor who took the world on one bad guy at a time and enjoyed every moment of it. Dax was more complicated but he and Alaia were so much alike it was uncanny. If anything, he was just more distrustful then her. Their stories intertwined, especially at the end, but this book tracks both of them separately at the same time. I loved their steamy scenes but definitely read those trigger warnings because this is not your average story!

This is a dark and captivating read. It is well written with a unique FMC. I enjoyed every moment of this super steamy read. This does contain possible triggers and please keep that in mind before indulging.

Definite pearl clutcher here. Full of action and suspense. Hot and steamy and oh so dark. The FMC is amazing and well developed. The world building is excellent for a stand-alone. Definitely recommend.

Well this was a delightfully dark and twisted read that had me hooked all the way through it. Wonderful characters drew me in and had me rooting for them before a plot twist ending ripped my heart out.
Looking for action, steam and something epically different, then I definitely recommend giving this book a read. Make sure to check the trigger warnings.

Lies, deceptions, love can’t live here, can it ? Every choice has a consequence, and this story is full of them. There are so many twists and turns, and I am shook!
Every step in this story has you hoping that you didn’t read what you did, but I assure you that you did. You’re guessing, hating Dax and his impossible decisions, right up until the end !

Wow first off this book was well written for the triggers this book has, so please be aware of this before reading, saying that I fully enjoyed reading this book and very much look forward to reading more books by this author. Alaia is such a great character even if she is a blood thirsty one and paired with daxs it was wow even if it as emotional at times. So give thier story a read

This tells the story of Alaia. This story may not be for everyone as it does have triggers so check them before picking it up. On the other hand what you get is a story so raw, dark, gritty. I loved this book as I loved Dax and how the dynamic between Alaia and Dax worked. Alaia being an assassin but when she meets Dax she lets her guard down. Read and find out what happens! Loved it.

When I first picked up this book, I didn’t realize it wasn’t a romance—though, there is a huge romance aspect to the plot. I’m glad I realized it before I got to the end. Even knowing what I knew, I kept hoping for a different outcome. Overall, it was an interesting and heartbreaking storyline. Just don’t come here looking for a HEA.

This is the book that you think you know what is going to happen but I can 100% guarantee you have absolutely no idea. Take what you think is going to happen and flip it upside down and inside out. Well done Miss Payton....well done!!!

Tami is such a great writer. Her books keep you hooked that you just don’t want to put them down. You won’t stop until your finished and the twist, suspense, and all the emotions that each character goes through just floors you in such a great way. I can’t wait for the next book!

What a brilliant rollercoaster of a book! Straight in to the action from the start and there is no let up. It’s jam packed full of tension, drama, illicit games of cat and mouse and just wonderfully written characters that leap of the page. Sheer perfection! So so good!!! I need more!

Wow, I’m so glad I read this. This book was perfection except the ending. I so needed that HEA I’ll pretend in my head they got it lol. Because how tragic would that be. Sneaky Jaycee I had no idea he would do what he did in the end. This book was amazing!

This book starts you off in the thick of things. Our Fmc has had a horrible beginning in life but that hasn’t stopped her from doing what she need too . Her and Max are explosive.
