Sophie has had a crush on Beckett practically her entire life, but never thought he felt the same. She thought he always thought of her as his younger sister’s best friend, the little girl who used to follow him around. However, things shifted between them and Beckett really started to notice Sophie.
Beckett and Sophie have chemistry that is burning up the pages and I couldn’t get enough of it. Beckett allowed himself one night to give into his emotions and feelings for Sophie and that was one night that neither of them will be forgetting. There is so much passion and chemistry. Then Beckett changes and I wanted to slap him for how he was acting and I wanted to hug Sophie and get the girl some ice cream!
Rude Boy is a fast paced novella that is the perfect beach read! Full of steam, passion and chemistry. Some old faces from the Dixie Point series also pop up.
If you’re looking for a best friends brother, small town, age gap this is one to check out!

Hot and spicy lunchtime bite! Yassssss!
I consumed AJ Alexander’s hot and spicy age-gap, sister’s-best-friend novella for lunch today, and it was just the perfect book snack to see me through the afternoon. This probably rates up there as #NSFW (not safe for work) because you really don’t want some of your workmates to be reading this over your shoulder, but the risk is totally worth it – just make sure your back is to a wall!
I just loved it though! When Sophie, in her POV described Beckett, I thought holy hell!! I want to steal her man for myself, while in Beckett’s eyes, Sophie was gorgeous, edgy and her look almost defiant in her attitude to social norms. Ms Alexander’s gift to their story lay in their chemistry and their heated interactions that were intense and deeply natural. Age gap it might be, but to me it was socially acceptable and both characters held equal power throughout the book.
Oh yes, Beckett might have been very alpha male in his attitude towards looking out for and protecting Sophie, but there was nothing shrinking violet in her reaction. While she was young and forward, her mature outlook had her realising her own value, and there was no way she was going to beg, or take his self-sacrificing attitude lying down.
What I loved most about this novella was its connection to my favourite Dixie Point series of books that Ms Alexander has going on right now. I love each and every one of those books, and two secondary characters who feature strongly in RUDE BOY have their own releasing very soon. Meanwhile, check out this sexy bite! 5-Stars 💙*˜

Do you know how you have those one click authors that you will buy and read? Books that you know are from the same world but not which characters the book is about? Yeah, I do to. For me the is AJ Alexander. I didn’t even bother to look at which book I was reading. It took me a second to realize that we are back in Dixie Point with our brooding bartender Beckett and the much younger Sophie. Must love hot reads to kick off the summer. Sometimes its more fun to let actions speak louder than words and the bar top… Oh my hotness. Make sure to grab this one if you are looking for a hot read that will leave you insta satisfied today. These two are good together they just need to realize that they want the same things.

I enjoyed the story line but the reactions and responses by all the characters was very immature. It didn’t read like an adult or new adult with the behavior happening. Why would you try to make someone jealous to force their hand in admitting their feelings for you? Why would the person helping you do that willingly take a punch to the face and shake it off because it was all fair for the sake of love? It just didn’t make sense.
Ive read so many quick insta love stories and this missed the mark for me. The storyline had great promise. Just bad execution.

Age gap romance, the heroine is in her early 20's the hero in his early 30's. The way she is written she feels much younger since her and her friends enlist high school tactics to get the hero. The conflict was very much "I can't be with you because I'll hold you back" in which the hero, after their one night stand, started being an asshole to push her away. I couldn't see the chemistry or a reason for these two to be together after his actions.

I thought that this was an awesome book. I really like Beckett and Sophie together. I loved the connection and chemistry between these two. Beckett and Sophie have been dancing around each other for a while now and Sophie is ready to get her man. Beckett has his reasons for trying to stay away from Sophie but he can't resist her anymore. I loved the drama, steam, tension, comedy, bonding, love and the really sweet HEA that this book offered. I would highly recommend this book and Ms. A.J. as a must read author.

Not quite an instant-love story, because there’s unrequited love that goes on for a few year between Beckett King and Sophie Harper before acting on their attraction.
All it takes to bring their lust/love to a head is an unruly bar customer accosting Sophie and Beckett coming to her rescue.
It’s all hands, feelings, and sex from that point on. And a one-night stand goes thru some misunderstandings, hurt feelings, and tears, before becoming Sophie and Beckett’s destined happy ending.

Beckett has a dilemma….he wants Sophie but she’s a free spirit who deserves a bigger life. Sophie has loved Beckett for years but he sees her as his sisters pesky little friend. One night of dropped boundaries and hurt feelings the next morning cause lots of trouble. The girls decide to teach Beckett a lesson and thankfully things end well. MEN! Great gang of friends come through for this passionate couple.

This was a great, HOT read. I love best friend's older sibling romances, and this one was a great one! It's obvious from the very beginning that Sophie and Beckett are crazy about each other, but Beckett is holding back. Would have loved to be able to reach in and give him a shake to wake him up, but glad he got his act together. Loved this quick read!

I love how there’s a connection or mention of Bristol and Seth as well as Emersyn and Brady. I love seeing previous stories and making connections while reading something new.

Sophie and Beckett want each other, yet they are scared to let the other one know. After finally taking the plunge one night, Sophie thought they would finally be together. But Beckett is still scared. After realizing that he could potentially lose her forever, Beckett has to decide whether he wants to finally claim her or truly lose her. This is a good series and I recommend this book!

What a beautiful love story
Beckett never saw the true power of Sophie who has loved him for years. He was twelve years older and felt the age gap was too much. Between Sophie and her friends, Beckett never saw what was coming. This was such a good book. Enjoyed reading it a lot. :)

Welcome back to Dixie Point where the summer days are hot and the nights even steamier! I love a good gap romance. You know the ones...where the guy thinks he will hold back the girl due to his age. Well THANK GOD Beck finally got his head out of his arse and realized that he needed Sophie. She completed him and were so hot together.

Great story!!!
Beckett and Sophie’s story is a long time in the making. They both have been circling each other and have strong feelings but haven’t acted on them. Mostly due to Beckett being a stubborn Alphamale - when will they ever learn? It all works out in the end and they have a Great HEA.

Sophie and Beckett was one of those quick stories but long secrete loves that once put into motion took off like a wildflower and was perfect in every way. I also love how you get little snippets into others lives from the Dixie Point group.

If I could give Rude Boy 10 stars I would. It packed a punch in the hot category. It was just a fun read. Age gap that I love. Super epilogue. Kudos to A.J. Alexander!

If you are looking for something short and steamy then look no further than Rude Boy by AJ Alexander. This story is short, steamy, and will have you cracking up laughing with a mixture of heart ache. Highly recommend this book as well as all of the others AJ has written!!!!!
