West and Sutton had a great encounter at the train station, where sparks went off. He saw Sutton later without her knowing it and he was really smitten with her.
A few days later he found out that she was in hospital, after her ex-boyfriend’s ugly assault, and visited her every night fir a week. Due to the fact she couldn’t go back to her place, West suggested she moved in with him. (and she accepted).
That was up to 20% of the story, I found it very insta and dnf it.

It’s only book 1 and I’m already hooked!
I was recommended this book by a friend and being one of TL Swans cygnets, I wanted to show my support to my fellow little swannette. Seriously, I am so incredibly glad that I did. This book is fantastic.
I am instantly in love with West McGarry. He’s everything an alpha should be and then some. Tall, built, wealthy, gorgeous, sex-on-a-freaking-stick deliciousness… and then he’s kind, caring, smart, brave and fiercely loyal too! How can anyone not love this man?
Then there’s Sutton. That poor girl has been through so much and you’d think that having West by her side would make things so much better… and it would… if her past didn’t catch up with her and drag every one of the McGarry family into imminent danger.
However, as this plot unfolds, we soon realise that danger may as well be the McGarry families middle name! And that is something that Sutton soon finds herself extremely thankful of.
The plot is slick and easy to follow without everything becoming too complex and the characterisations are so good that it’s easy to connect with everyone - creating this emotional rollercoaster ride into the darkest depths of the depraved minds of Sutton’s enemies.
There are some difficult tropes in this book and there may be some triggers for some readers, so make sure you heed the warning in the blurb. However, it’s very well written and to be honest, it didn’t make me feel uncomfortable like some books have that have dealt with similar topics.
All-in-all I would most definitely recommend this book to anyone who like me, love this genre.
Well done Martina for creating a story that not only gives you all the feels, but also grips you and makes you feel like you are living this with these fabulous characters. I now cannot wait to read more about these Moral
compass McGarry siblings and see where this story takes me.

Couldn't put it down! It not only had spicy scenes but the story plot was beyond amazing. My two favorite part was both towards the end the first one was when big bad old west fainted when he found out they were pregnant. And the other is when they were moving and Sutton was nervous about the moving people finding her box of toys again LOL. I can't wait for book 2 about North and Kara (I hope!)

An outstanding debut novel. I was pulled in right from the start and didn't want to put it down. Sutton and West's chemistry was explosive 🔥 I love how the author took the time to develop their relationship and while there was instant attraction and sexual tension between them. The love between them grew at a believable pace. And those sexy times between them? My God was it hot 🔥🥵 Sutton's back story broke my heart and I loved how protective West was of her, it was as just swoon. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait to see what this author writes next.

Amazing debut!!
This book was so good! The cover and blurb draw you in and I just had to read it.
Martina has done a brilliant job with this storyline, the whole thing had you intrigued from all of the characters, the storyline, the background of everyone.
There was everything you want in a book, twists, turns, angst, steamy. Yep it had everything I like in a book!
Cannot wait for North’s book next - I know it’s going to be amazing!!

West is a rich CEO of a global company and is trying to fix his moral compass for his father. Sutton is a hard worker and trying to make the best life she can, until her ex comes crashing back into her life, destroying everything she's worked for.
Sutton and West are great characters and together make a dynamic duo. The storyline was interesting and I loved the idea of a moral compass. The author truly delivers in giving a fantastic plot with some steamy fun.

Oh hot dang! This book has a lot of action but keeps you intrigued the entire time!!!!!! Absolutely loved the whole book and didn't take long to read either. Can't wait for the next book!!!

Did not finish it. Got to chapter 17 and gave up the ghost. It has a good baseline story but feels rushed and a bit written in haste. I hate to give horrible reviews but it just wasn't my cup of tea. It did have some good reviews so it's maybe just not for me.

This book is full of everything. So please read the TW! But if you like action and Mafia-like stories, then this book is definitely for you.
When I read Martina's "The Ride" book, I read about the four compass siblings. The FMC is their cousin. When I read one's name is East, I thought "Yeah, hopefully her siblings aren't North, West, and South." But they are 😎 and it's funny. I like it 😊
If you read the Blackmore brothers series, you know that the McGarrys are a little "different". At first, I thought they were a little bit like the Mafia. But that's not right. Maybe a Robin Hood Mafia? They don't steal, but they help the victims. They fight against the really really bad people. Especially human and drùg tràffìckìng. So, they are the really good people ❤️
I love it when the player billionaire sees a girl and BAM he wants to settle down. 🤣 Something like that happens with West. When he sees Sutton at the train station he can't think straight and can't talk anymore 🙈 It's so cute. Don't forget, we are talking about a wall of a man. He is tall and a fighter. He is a CEO and he is far away from being weak. But when it comes to Sutton, he is just WOW. Don't think he is a golden retriever, definitely not. A cinnamon roll? No, I don't think so. He is very protective and sure as heII he is possessive. He wants her. And I would say, what West wants, he gets 😎 But he knows he isn't an easy man. He has his past and the family "thing". AND Sutton is an applicant for the job as Head of Operations in his company...
I can't wait to jump into the second book. It's the story of North and Kara (Sutton's best friend) 🤩

What an amazingly written story.
From page 1, I was hooked!
I laughed so much and loved the friendship between Sutton Kara.
I cried sad tears and lots of happy tears.
And West..... what a man 🥵🥵🥵.
The relationship he has with his family made my heart melt. I loved the whole group dynamic with these lot.

An awesome debut novel. There's a lot going on the whole time that keeps you turning the pages eagerly. West and Sutton have instant connection and chemistry. There are a few twist and turns along with suspense and mystery that will leave you wondering how its all going to end. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

I went into this series blind & wasn't disappointed.
West McGarry is one of four siblings, West, North, East & South.. yeah, he laughs about it too 😂 He meets Sutton by chance & can't believe his luck when it's his company she's interviewing for although when trying to offer her the job..no-one has heard from her since..
West is SUCH a nice guy 🥺 I did think it was bizarre a new boss would try & find out why you've gone stone cold silent before even starting the job but as more of his history comes to light everything becomes clear. Over the series of events he proves himself time & time again.. there are various miscommunication moments which unlike most male MCs he clears up pretty much immediately. He gets 5⭐️'s for that alone right there. Alicia, you can get in the bin right alongside Stella 😒
Sutton is a sassy, quick witted, little badass. She's had a hard childhood & then cue the abusive ex who's escaped from prison and out to come back for round two, she's sh*t out of luck. She can only really count on herself & her best friend Kara. These two together are everything & I can't wait to hear more from her in North's book 🤌🏻

I never heard of this author before, read it as a recommendation in a group, so went in totally blanc, but it captivated me from the beginning.
What a great book to read.

We find out who did it, why it was done and so much more goes into this story.

This is the first in a new series, as well as being a debut from this author, and she has done an incredible job in weaving this storyline. West is a wealthy CEO of a global company, while Sutton is hard working and is making the best of her life. These two cross paths the sparks fly, and there is an instant attraction between them, and when Sutton has an interview as head of communications it is unknowingly for West’s company. Sutton has a truly heartbreaking backstory, and when her ex comes to haunt her, West takes her to live in his home. This is a beautifully written story which has family, friendships, tension, combustible chemistry, emotions, humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to a steamy and addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

What a debut!
Wow, what a debut book for this newbie author!
Martina Dale gives us a alpha male and strong female that both clash and gravitate toward one another leaving you desperate for more.
The twists and turns of the story leave you on the edge of your seat desperate to get to the end but then gutted when it does end.
But boy, what an ending!
Absolutely love the British humour in this book. Full on loud laughing at some of the scenarios and interactions between the characters. Spice scenes were great and the darker scenes done with delicacy.
Overall a great start to what is bound to be a fantastic series.
I’m intrigued by North and cannot wait for his release! Well done Martina!

For a first-time book, this author did a wonderful job and I can't wait to read more about this author.
Whatever you do go in blind. You don't even need to read the blurb. This book will keep you sucked in from the first to the last word. This book is nothing like you think you know. The twist nope you can't guess it.
This book gets you in all of your feelings. You will feel admiration, hurt, love, and excitement because this book gives you all of that.
West and Sutton were meant for each other and that is clear when he warns her about the sign. Their inner dialogue during each interaction made this book. Then toss in West family and Suttons' best friend this book was true perfection. I really can't wait to read Norths book.

WOW
Well all my friends were raving about this new Author, saying you need to read West is so good, then I started seeing it on my news feed. God why did I wait so long to pick it up. Well I made short work of it in one sitting as there was no way I could put it down. LOVE IT!!!!
Brilliant most definitely worth the read. The plot in good with many twists and turns and so well written you would believe this is the Authors first book. Love the characters, the banter between Sutton and Kara is funny love it and then there is West he is one not alpha male. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series totally brilliant loved it so much.

What an amazing debut for this author. This book will suck you in leaving you flipping the pages so fast wanting to know what’s going to happen next.
I loved West and Suttons story. The storyline was amazing. The secondary characters were great as well. West is the CEO of a global company, after leaving his dark past behind him. Sutton is a woman who hides her heartbreak and secrets, but portrays to have it all. Until something happens and threatens to shatter it all.
Full of twists, action and humor I didn’t see coming, this story was amazing. I can’t wait for book 2.

Brilliant Debut
A new author for me following a recommendation from
What a debut book ... we got a story with an alpha male 🔥 and a strong FMC who meet by chance but is there more to their meeting?
The twists and turns in this book keep you on the edge of your seat. I loved Suttons and Karas friendship and West's relationship with his family.
The humour and interactions in this book nicely balanced out the dark parts that were written so well and the spice was hot!
Cannot wait to read more from Martina and more in this series.

Struggled to finish. The book's continuity and the main characters internal monologue were all over the place. Some points in the book There was a complete switch of thought subject without any lead in. I'll admit this whole storyline would have been good, just like all the blurbs you saw online. That made you want to read the book. However , Whoever read this book for the author in regards to continuity and editing did a very poor job. Which left you thinking the author must have many scattered thoughts while she was writing this book.

This book was a great start to the series, and a great introduction to the McGarry family. West is every inch the alpha male, and I swooned over each page, and loved every second of his relationship with Sutton.
The main storyline is a strong one, and gives real depth to the characters, as they fight through some scary situations that no person should have to face. I'm excited for the next instalment, which has already started to build in this book. I'm ready for North!

So steamy!
Loved this book! I love the suspense, and of course all the sexy moments between West and Sutton! Never knew what was coming next, but I loved it. It is so sweet how caring and thoughtful West is, and I love how we get to see their thought processes from both POVs! Cannot wait to read the next one.

Loved this book! Shocked that this was Martina Dale's first novel. The writing was excellent, as was the editing.
West and Sutton are just totally HOT together! They're one of my favorite book couples!
