Using his flesh-twisting powers, Seraph must push on to reach the ancient guardians.
After nearly losing access, Seraph sets out again to conquer NEO and save his tormented sibling. Pushing deeper into the woodland, the Heart of The Forest is finally within reach, but the overpowered druidic guardians are merely the most obvious obstacle in his path. The line blurs between right and wrong, allies and enemies as the plot thickens, but Seraph will stop at nothing, readily accepting any who stand in his way as what they truly are - raw materials for the reaping...
Shemer has been a fan of Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and RPG games since the early 80’s. In 2016 he started writing his first novel: Life Reset which turned into a 6-book series with its grand finale published in 2021. Each book in the series became an Amazon bestseller. In 2019 Shemer quit his day job as a software developer to become a full-time author and released his second series: Earth Force, a sci-fi series consisting of a 2-book arc. Shemer hopes to garner enough community awareness and support to start writing the second arc. As an avid gamer, a D&D dungeon master, and Navy veteran, Shemer has a wealth of life experience to draw on for his writing. His books always include elements of kingdom/settlement development where the protagonist is forced to carve out a new place for themselves in the face of adversity.
Shemer spends his days writing and his nights fighting crime (well, mostly convincing his kids to go to bed, which is very similar). Shemer also enjoys writing about himself in the third-person and hopes you find his work enjoyable.

As much solid fun as the first book in this series. Gotta love those corrupting vibes, taking down all those Druidic elders, destroying life.
The redemption bits were delicious, too, and I love the setup for more. I truly hope we can continue with this tale -- but if not, it's still satisfying.
I read it just because it's fun. And goodness, this LitRPG IS fun.
The newest therapy is working, because that’s what this area of the game is for
Unique powers over flesh and bone make John/Seraph formidable but levels count for a lot more the more you have. His mission is clear, get to the conduit and release the hack to save his brother. He just has to defeat the rest of the druid elders, somehow without being killed by them repeatedly. Meanwhile, Matsuel pushes for more faith points with promises of assistance or more power. Now John has saved the village but the cost is too much for them to want to continue living within his fleshy landscape. Unhappy citizens within Brinfold means even more as Seraph is shunned and unable yo do business with the town. And we also see a new race enter the storyline, ferlings, who are connected more to nature and live hidden in the forest’s second zone. How will our hero survive the battles ahead? How will he succeed alone in his battles? Read on to find out!
Really good book, several interesting situations for the main character, several extremely difficult choices for him to make with consequences that are not apparent immediately, however also has a few mild cases of plot armor, but needed for character growth, highly recommend entire life reset universe
I know it says kindle but I actually got the paperback version cause that's how much I love this series. So there is that. Looking back into the first Biomancer book and then reading this Biomancer book it seems like each NPC progressed in character depth with each time they interacted with the Main character. ( It felt like how real NPC's react in our games in this world, so there's also that.)I really appreciated the length at which it was done. I'm so excited to listen to the audiobook when it releases in June as well as to what happens in the next book. That's going to be an exciting ride for sure. Once again, the main character couldn't figure anything out except fighting over leveled beings. That was the ONE thing I didn't like then and still don't like. Also, another thing that was bugging me was the fact that the MC kept relying on someone else to figure things out for him. Is there a way for the MC to become smarter? Like a leveling quest or something, cause that was seriously bugging me to no end. But it was so much better than before, I'm glad the other character doesn't constantly come out to help the MC. Once again, awesome job on the book! :)

I not saying I could do better or know exactly what could have been done better. It reminds me a little of Tom Cruise acting as Jack Reacher. Height disparity not withstanding, I couldn’t believe Tom Cruise was that “hard.” Maybe I don’t know enough sociopaths.
I love the world and the Characters the class abilities are dynamic the author kept the stats minimal so they didn't distract from the story. Overall a great read.
I wanted to keep reading, and was upset that I am going to have to wait until the next book to see how the brothers are going to defeat the enemy agents that have entered NEO. Can't wait?
Not bad, but kind of extra gross and the hero starts kicking a LOT of ass. It was like the author realized the passing was unsustainable and hit fast forward. So gonna keep reading, but I hope the gross factor calms down some.
I am not sure which series I liked more, Life Reset or this one. I am happy that John was able to reach his brother and help him. The surprise twist that Nina left blew me away. The Druid of Ruin attack at the end surprised me too. Looking forward to the next book.
Great series so far. Fantastic story all around, with subtle nods to real world video games. I can't wait to see where the story of John and Gideon goes!
