With several flights having departed and numerous characters in the sky hoping for a smooth ride to their destination, the seatbelt signs are off, and the passengers are free to move around the cabin. But pleasant flights can be interrupted with words like:
Turbulence. Engine Trouble. Mayday.
But if things seem dangerous and deadly on Earth, it's only worse out in space as the race begins to meet the hazard that threatens everything. What goes up, must come down...

There are numerous characters introduced, especially at the start of the book, and it’s as if they fell off the literary earth. No mention of them again. No follow up. Yes, it’s part of a series but it should stand a bit more on its own.
The culmination of events that began just thirty minutes before in "20 Minutes Before Take Off" goes up a notch as the race is on for one plane to land safely, another to return to the UK after a medical episode, a serial killer on the loose in mid air as several space shuttles launch simultaneously on a mission to save the planet from total destruction. Yep, it's all happening, folks...even if a little OTT, as is Daniel Hurst's way.
Many characters we have come to know and love are at this very minute above the clouds heading for their destination yet hurtling towards something else entirely. Due to human error by a mechanic on the ground, these passengers will not be arriving in Berlin.
One plane is ferrying our favourite main characters out of the country and to the safety of Belgrade until a medical episode sees them having to return to make an emergency landing back in the UK.
Another plane is on course to the sunny climes of Spain as a gangster flees authorities with his wife and daughter until a shock discovery causes them to change course and possibly return from whence they came. But does he have a back up plan to get himself out of this?
And then a very nasty character we have followed from the beginning is enjoying the on board mile high club the private jet he's on has offered, but then he has something else in mind that will endeavour to make his journey far more interesting...though less so for the others involved.
Meanwhile, space shuttles from the UK, America, Russia and China have all simultaneously launched on a course to intercept the asteroid that threatens to wipe out earth and all mankind in just three months time. And the government are keeping it all hush-hush for fear of creating panic, but one man is intent on getting the news out even if it is the last thing he does!
It's all action in this second last installment as the race to save mankind is on...and all will be revealed in the final book.
I really enjoyed 20 Minutes In The Air book 19 by Daniel Hurst a series of interconnected short stories. Events take place thirty minutes after 20 Minutes Before Takeoff the penultimate book in the series.
Many of our characters are high up above the clouds but because of human error on ground control one plane and it's passengers will not be arriving in Berlin anytime soon.
One particular nasty character will be enjoying the mile-high club on board his private plane but he also has murder on his mind and is willing to pay for the privilege too.
One plane will be asked to turn around and head back to London as the wife of a criminal gangster persuades her husband that if you do the crime you do the time and not be having to look over your shoulder all the time.
In the meantime space shuttles from Russia, America, Britain, China but only two of them had nukes on board which were getting ready to intercept an asteroid from crashing to the earth in three months.
All will be revealed in 20 Minutes Until It's All Over book 20 the final installment of the 20 Minute Series.
I suppose like every other can of the 20minutes series have been waiting and waiting for the conclusion, however as much as we are waiting to find out the fate of the characters it's also a shame it's coming to a end, what a quirky idea turned into is one of the best series of book I have ever read. The concept is unique. Daniel Hursts idea is nothing short of genius. While a plane one down in on country did anyone survive for the answer to that you are going to have to read the book. It's also the same answer I will give you about how Nina just happened to get hold of this peace of information.. You will have to read the book. I could not out it down until I had finished it. I have never experienced this type of series before I don't think it's ever been done like this it's what makes each book and each character become find friends with . Another bloody good read ................................... Don't miss out
It's all happening now that all the planes are in the air. There are also space shuttles from America, Russia, China and Britain getting ready to intercept an asteroid that's headed for earth and will destroy the world. I couldn't believe what was going to happen, they had three months before the asteroid would hit. The government wanted to keep it a secret, but a newscaster learns about it, and tells her viewers what is about to take place. Although I have loved this series, and don't want it to end, I'm not sure I will enjoy the last book in this series as I'm not into space and all that mumbo jumbo. But I just can't leave this fantastic series here, I will at least give book twenty a try.
Another fabulous read in The 20 Minutes series. This is the next to last book and I've enjoyed reading every one of them. The characters are well written and believable. I can't wait for book 20 though I know after reading that one there wonbe any more. I will definitely be giving these a re-read. Give them a go you'll not be disappointed with the series.
As muh that happens in this book it wasn't very memorable and I felt the situation similar to that of the first book but way more unrealistic. And then there's the meteor set to destroy earth.... Honestly I didn't care enough for it.
19th book in the Hurst 20 Minutes series finds several flights occurring with 20 people and what happens to each them during these flights is pretty amazing - this book I the series took it to a whole new level…literally!
What a great series and only one more book to go. I have never read so many consecutive books by the same author but Daniel Hurst has got me addicted to the 20 minutes series. Why not become similarly addicted?
I would be lost without my books to read. They have and are helping me through some rough times. Will be very sorry to soon come to the end of Daniel Hurst's 20 Minute series. Thank you for a great read.
It's almost over and I am shook. I'm not ready. This story had so much going on and I literally can't deal. If you are a reading my review it's because you know that this is book 19 out of 20 and you understand that can't jump in mid series because you would be super confused then salty and likely try and bash this work of art and then I'll be hella mad at you.
Quick breakdowns of my favorite characters going into the final book. These are the people who I am the most invested in. They are the one's who have taken up space in my head. Not saying that all the others haven't impacted me in some way. But this is my OG crew that I've followed throughout this series with excitement, concern, morbid fascination, and empathy.
I hope everyone else who is reading this series has enjoyed it as much as I have. Daniel Hurst does an amazing job bringing these diverse group of characters to life. The adversity in this series is relatable and a bit scary.
