I absolutely love a fast-paced, action-heavy romance novel fueled by a solid storyline that brings the steam from the very start. And Operation: Shadow Catcher by Charissa Gracyk definitely brings it! Even more, I love that the badass in this novel is not relegated to the hero. Gracyk has written another fantastic book in her Slater Security series that brings the power and intensity of the heroine front and center. I loved getting to know Eden’s backstory and seeing her kick ass in her career with her Slater Security team. And Colt is her perfect match- swoony with a touch of arrogance, and even some cinnamon roll in his suave.
Gracyk weaves amazing chemistry between the characters seamlessly with steamy love scenes and heart pounding suspense. The banter between main characters Eden & Colt, as well as the entire Slater Security crew, is engaging and brings the reader closer to the characters, giving a wonderful glimpse of that found family theme featured throughout Gracyk’s novels.
Gracyk’s screenwriter background definitely shines through in this book. Just when you think you have a minute to catch your breath, the chase is on again. And you may want to grab a glass of ice water before you start reading. And have a fan nearby. Eden and Colt are seriously hot together from the very beginning.
Gracyk does a wonderful job continuing to build her newest series, with more hints at what's to come with Sailor & Maddox, a deeper glimpse into Dash Slater, and even some cameos from the Project Phoenix guys. Shadow Catcher can be read as a standalone, but it truly shines within the Slater Security series as a whole.

I fell in love with the badass girls of Slater Security in the Project Phoenix series where they are introduced. Fallon and Ryan's story ( Operation: Dead Drop book 1 in the Slater Security series) showed that the heroine can be badass and vulnerable and even fall for a hot nerd! I was so excited to read the next book in the Slater Security saga.
Eden (codename LOCO) is a former CIA operative. On one mission, she isn't the only one after an asset. Colt Law is after the same asset. Since it's in Vegas, you know that something crazy will happen! No real names, no contact info after a destroyed phone, and oops marriage to a stranger!
Fast forward five years later, Eden is now working for Dash Slater at Slater Security. Colt left the CIA after that op in Vegas, however, he is an independent contractor, once again after a high value target asset. The same said asset that Eden is after. Coincidence or Fate? you decide!

This book is by far the most action packed book of Charissa's. It's a non-stop, heart pounding thrill ride. Eden and Colt's chemistry makes this book even more thrilling and spicy.
Married on a whim to save their own asses, Eden and Colt spend one spicy night in Vegas and we all know the saying "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." However, this time what happened in Vegas didn't stay there.
Eden has sworn off men after a one-night stand five years ago. But when her one-nighter shows back up, she doesn't know whether to kiss him or kill him.
All Colt has thought about for the past five years was the woman he met in Vegas and left after a mind blowing night in bed. When he realizes that they where both hired by the same man, Colt wants nothing more than to prove to her that he's worth taking a chance on.
This book has action, spice and romance. A really enjoyable read.

Book two in the Slater Security series was an exciting roller coaster ride. Eden and Colt got married five minutes after meeting each other, five years ago. As ridiculous as that sounds, it actually made sense when you read the story. It also made sense that they didn’t see each other again for five years. Their second encounter with each other was also quite explosive and memorable. They end up working together on a job with a lot of dangerous, thrilling, life-threatening moments. It was an awesome read.
I loved reading every page of this story. It reminded me of the movie “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”. The author did a great job coming up with an interesting, fast paced, action romance that had me smiling all the way through to the end. I am really loving this series.

Another great book and I am really liking where this series is going. I loved the crossover with the Phoenix series also and like how these books are adding to each series storylines.
Opening strongly its always nice to read about a strong heroine in a book and this series in particular is filled with them. Ex CIA, Eden is tough to the core yet has a sliver or vulnerability about her which is endearing and makes her really likeable.
Colt is a harder character to understand, little is really revealed about his past and motivations but the way he falls for, cares for and deals with Eden is total book boyfriend material.
Overall a good read, fun parts, steamy parts and everything in between. Take this as the fun read it’s intended to be and you will thoroughly enjoy it.

Fast paced & fun romantic thriller
Book 2 of the fast paced and fun, romantic suspense series blasts straight out of the gates with the action happening right from the beginning. We get the backstory where Colt and Eden meet for the first time before heading back into the present and their next meeting, the first in 5 years. There is plenty of action to keep you on the edge of your seat as you read this fast paced, well written addition to this great series. I loved the ending, Ms. Gracyk keeps you guessing right up to the final page. I'm looking forward to the next outing in the Slater Security series as this was a joy to read.

This was an incredible read. Laughed cried and sat on the edge of my seat
The chemistry between Eden and Colt is literally like dynamite going off. The 2 make the book so hot your not to put it down
When they met they got married not even knowing each other
Then years later they run into each other going after the same object. She is snarky and sassy he is just very confident and poised.
Also loved the little hidden teasers of the others coming up. Lol
You will love it book 2 of this series is just as fantastic as book 1 with Fallon and her mate lol

Holy hotness Charissa Gracyk has done it again! Hot and steamy from the very beginning! Eden and Colt’s story will have your heart racing for a multitude of reasons! This is this summers hot romance. Colt and Eden will have your heart pumping and adrenaline flowing with their adventures and steamy love making! This is a must read.

Another great romantic suspense by Charissa Gracyk.
I usually don’t read books written in first pov but I received the arc from the author and because I loved her books written in 3th pov I gave this a try. I loved the story, great plot and awesome characters!
So definitely five stars! I do hope the author will go back to third pov but that’s just my personal preference.

Charissa Gracyck keeps getting better. This second chance romance is fast paced and full of passion. The characters were passionate in many ways—hatred and heat.
Their spark was instant, both in the past and the present. Thoroughly enjoyed the suspense and steam.

I received a copy of Operation Shadow Catcher as an ARC and this is my honest review of this book. You got to love a badass woman with a code name Loco and a handsome operative name Colt, and a second chance at romance. This time around its Eden & Colt story in the Slater Security series. You will love it. It's a fun read and a great story from beginning to the end. I could not put the book down till the very end. It has everything Romance, Suspense, Adventure and Action. You are going to love all the characters. Looking forward to the next book in the series. Read and Enjoy.

Really loved these two, Eden and Colt are both bad asses in their own right, and they come together for a killer story. Really enjoyed their story of how they first meet and how the fates brought them together again. Their dynamic was hot, powerful, and the perfect HEA. Loved it. Charissa is definitely a one click author for me, you really get immersed into her worlds. Cannot wait for the next installment... hopefully explosive colleagues finally coming together?!

I received an ARC of this novel and have read all of the author's previous novels, including the first one in the Slater Security series, which happens to be a spin-off series. You could read this as a stand alone, though, and still understand everything that happens. Charissa is literally the perfect author for a fun and steamy summer read--or a dead of winter read when you want to feel like you're at the beach.
Eden is a fun and cheeky main character and the ride the author takes you on with her estranged husband Colton Law is just as fun. Colt is sexy with a side of cocky and their little Las Vegas wedding turns out to be more than they both bargained for. I love a good enemies to lovers trope--in this case more of a one-nighter to enemies to lovers but I love a strong female lead even more. Colt and Eden have electric chemistry and Charissa knows how to write action as well so you are never bored reading her books. There are cameos from the heroes of Project Phoenix too! Any fan of romance and action will enjoy this fast-paced story!

Fantabulous, addictive, Phenomenal, engrossing and a whole host of other adjectives would not fully allow you to comprehend how this book is going to rock your world.
Most books build up to the action, akin to getting on a rollercoaster and slowly riding to the top before the action starts but Colt and Eden’s story starts at the top of the rollercoaster and you’re instantly free falling and holding on for the ride of your life.
Colt is the bad boy every girl dreams of having. He’s a larger than life character that would make the most hardened heart swoon with the need to be the focus of his attention.
He’s a total alpha male. A larger than life charismatic man who has little thought for others - not that that depicts from his yumminess one iota - until he meets the other half of his soul.
Eden is an awe inspiring badass with the goods to back up the reputation. She hides her emotions behind a stoic wall of protection unless you’re someone she considers to be family.
I absolutely adored the banter between Colt and Eden. The way they spark off each other is funny and addictive. The chemistry that ignites between them is a tsunami of heat that gives you little choice but to hold on as it blasts around you.
Watching them work together along with Dash and everyone at Slater Security is pure poetry in motion. They are a family in the truest sense of the word.
I also loved Oz and Dom from The Phoenix Project making an appearance in their own continuing saga of trying to right the wrongs that are being done to them.
Charissa Gracyk continually makes me out to be a liar - I keep saying every time she releases another wonderful story that it couldn’t be better than the last but it so is. This story is phenomenal. I was hooked from the first word and only became more so as the story developed. My only criticism is that I truly did not want it to end. It was beautifully written. Completely addictive and I’d have given anything to slip into and envelope myself fully into this magical world, and you can bet I wouldn’t have wanted to leave anytime soon.
Couldn’t possibly recommend this story highly enough. This is definitely a book I’ll be buying as an ebook and paperback for my collection.

The book is too good! This is the first book I've read by this author, and I have to say that I'm blown away. The story is dynamic, witty, and full of action, the main characters are perfect, the secondary ones are , too. In one word, I enjoyed it!

I absolutely love Charissa Gracyk’s writing! She pulls you in so quickly that you can’t do anything BUT read every second you can.
This book was SO good. It had it all—action, spice, drama, romance, with a little humour (which I love in a book), and fabulous characters.
Eden was so badass I fell in love with her so quickly. She had a one-night-stand years ago and swears off men from that moment… what happens then is so good!!
Colt is a delicious softie.. his chemistry with Eden was H O T..🔥🔥🔥
I loved this book. Charissa has done it once again, but I’m learning that she can’t write a bad book.

This is the second book in the Salter Security series and just as good as the first. I love how Charissa writes, leaving you wanting so much more. This book didn’t disappoint. You get it all in here, enemies to lovers, second chance and a fake marriage.
Eden is a bada$$ CIA operative who decided in a split second to get married to a stranger in Las Vegas 5 years ago instead of being revealed. So she has t seen the man she married since then. Until now, when Colt is her new partner in an assignment. And their second meeting is just as hot as their first. But he wants more and will prove to her he’s worth it.
This book is packed with action and is so steamy. Filled with danger, fast paced, chemistry, swoon worthy, suspense and so much more. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it was so easy to read. The writing kept me intrigued and rooting for the characters until the very end. Eden and Colt are my favorite story so far in the Slater Security series. I loved their banter, sexual chemistry, and the way their story just flowed and made so much sense without being uber predictable. 🌶🌶🌶/5. You can read this as a stand alone but I think you get the full experience when you start with book one because you get to recognize little Easter eggs of information about other characters. There is also some crossover with the Phoenix series too.
If you like second chance romance, enemies to lovers, action packed romances, and HEAs, this is the book for you!

Eden married a complete stranger years ago in order to keep her cover from being blown. One hot night and then he disappeared. Five years later, he's back and now her partner in a mission. Unfortunately for them, their fake wedding vows were real, and he is planning on showing her how real they are to him.
This was a fun, fast paced story that completely captivated me from the start. Eden is by all means a baddie and lives up to her name Loco. The pair made the story interesting with how they met and how Colt planned on keeping Eden.
The problem I had was the plot was a little hard to believe at times. Like a person like Eden couldn't find a way out of marrying someone? Some points felt like a stretch, but otherwise the story was great.
This was a fun, fast paced story that completely captivated me from the start. Eden is by all means a baddie and lives up to her name Loco. The pair made the story interesting with how they met and how Colt planned on keeping Eden.
The problem I had was the plot was a little hard to believe at times. Like a person like Eden couldn't find a way out of marrying someone? Some points felt like a stretch, but otherwise the story was great.

Vibrate, daring, a little crazy, but with a hidden yearning for something more…..Eden is the woman who will have you laughing, crying, cheering….but wait! If you’re like me, then you’ll also be secretly wishing you could be in her shoes too! Gah, I can’t even put into words the emotions that Charissa Gracyk evokes with her cleverly written storytelling! Oh and Colt……well let’s just say he’s naughty, dangerous, secretive, hot….but with so much more that a certain “Loco”heroine brings out. I dare you to not fall in love with this amazing duo! High five Charissa Gracyk for an amazing addition to this series!

I was excited to read the second book in the Slater Security series because I enjoyed the first book so much! Kind of a crazy story line with Colt and Eden getting married within minutes of meeting each other five years ago. And they hadn’t seen each other since, until….they met again. I won’t go into a lot of detail because I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, but suffice it to say there was a lot of action! Steamy AND, oh you know, guns, wild car chases, etc. Can't wait for the next book in the series.

A fascinating story with action, humor and sweetness. Fallon is a badass ex special forces woman working for her ex commander at Slater Security. On a job keeping a super model safe she run in to geek Ryan. She finds him attractive and decides to forget about him. Their luggage get switched up and when they go to get their luggage switched back all hell breaks loose. Their adventure begins. Can't wait to read the next book. I read an arc of this book and this is my review

A fun ride from start to finish. The author put her foot to the pedal and never let up. Super fast paced but didn't feel rushed. Some steamy scenes. What is not to love about this series… action, mayhem, hunky men and sassy women, chemistry out the wazoooooo. If you love heart racing thrills, page turning excitement and witty, back and forth banter filled with steam then grab this book and enjoy the ride.

Another fast-paced, swoony romance with two adrenaline junkies! What more could you ask for as you pick your summer beach reads? I love a good found family cast of characters and Slater Security definitely fits the bill. I love the way Gracyk weaves in the characters and story line from Project Phoenix! Five fabulous stars from me!

Book two in the Slater Security series is a steamy thrill ride! Leave it to Charissa Gracyk to raise the bar and top herself with not one, but two nail biting, do-or-die situations. Diving into the next book immediately.

I loved “Operation Dead Drop,” book 1 in the Slater Security series, but I think I liked book 2 even better and it’s all because of Eden and Colt. The chemistry between the two practically had sparks flying out of my kindle! Their snappy comebacks, competitive nature and one upmanship reminded me a little of Riggs and Lorna (Mel Gibson and Rene Russo’s characters) in Lethal Weapon 3. In other words, along with Charissa’s trademark action & heat, it was also a lot of fun watching Eden and Colt try to outdo each other.
The rest of the Slater Security team gets involved in the action too and there are more threads weaving this series in with its predecessor series, Project Phoenix, which I liked.
To sum up the book: steam, suspense, second chances, sex appeal to spare and … sit yourself down in a really comfy chair, because you may not want to take a break until you finish the book!

This book is packed with tropes and heart-pounding action!
The characters sizzle on the page and the heat between them is H-O-T! I couldn’t stop reading! Not only is the heroine a strong, kick-butt woman, but the hero is swoon-worthy. I love when the hero falls fast, and the heroine needs a little convincing. Makes me melt every time. Eden and Colt grabbed ahold of me, and I couldn’t put their story down until I’d followed them to the very satisfying conclusion.
This latest from Charissa Gracyk captures two tropes I love: enemies to lovers and second chance, then tops them off with a fake relationship. So, how do all those tropes work together? In a surprising and exciting way! Read it and find out! You won’t be disappointed!

I love Charissa's books because she always manages to get the perfect ration of comedy, romance and action. They're all amazing!
This one's about Eden and Colt. Both met five years before and ended up married in a chapel in Las Vegas in order to espace some guys whot threatened their separate mission, but never saw each other again nor do they know the other's real name. Now, on opposite sides one more time, they'll have to decide if they'll surrender to the sexual tension surrounding them or if they'll kill each other in the process.
I liked this book even more than I liked Fallon's. Maybe because I related more to Eden in some aspects or because I liked Colt better... Who knows? But I devoured this book in one seat. I loved it. Their banter is amazing and the chemistry both Eden and Colt have is just explosive. Also, their background is awesome. I really liked how Charissa built them, both of them are so unique. While Colt is cold and thorough, Eden is the impulsive one, earning herself the codename Loco (which I adored).
