I'm apalled by these reviews criticizing this novel saying "it's cliche, it's repetitive, MC is too op". If you go into McDonalds, you dont expect michelin star cuisine. That's the same if you read Xuanhuan/Xianxia webnovels. Why are you expecting magnus opus level literature? They are tr*shy but I dig that tr*sh.
Our MC, Gu Changge is reincarnated in a world where it follow cliche tropes. Using his knowledge of cliche tropes, he can somewhat predict events and use that to crush his enemies. He reminds me of Gu Yue Fang Yuan from Reverend Insanity. The only difference is Changge has a harem while Fang Yuan does not. And while Fang Yuan is public enemy number 1, Changge is pretending to be an ally of justice while framing up his enemies. If you like a ruthless and op MC who crushes sons of heaven while collecting beautiful women then this novel is for you. https://asurascan.xyz/vip/series/i-am...
Our MC, the villainous Gu Changge, is a treasure in the world of cultivation novels. He is super overpowered, super cunning, wastes no opportunities, and makes 100% use of everything he has. He is malicious and vicious. He isn't like Cale Henituse from "Lout of the count's family" who only has a bad reputation and is a softie. Gu Changge is the bona fide bad guy. On the contrary, his reputation is pristine. Truly a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Although the story follows the same formula throughout and Changge isn't like a hero who needs to overcome trials to get stronger, strangely, the story isn't boring.
Another fact I liked about it is that there aren't any major plot holes. Things that you think are getting left out will be used and woven into the story seamlessly in the future.
For those who enjoy cultivation manhwas and novels, this may be the perfect choice if you're looking for a funny, light read.
As the title of the book suggests, the protagonist is a villain. The novel show the hierocracy of the so called "son of heaven". In other typical wuxia novels did enjoy the story and feel satisfaction from the journey protag takes. but what are the impacts of those journey and hypocrisy of the protag on the villain. By no means I'm supporting villainry, I'm just loathing on the acts of protag. This novel is from the perspective of that villain with cunning mind and power. After this novel I don't view the protag from other wuxia novel the same.
A parody of typical cultivation cliches and the villain who has to overcome them. The protagonist is actually villainous but isn’t just an idiot going about doing immoral things. This is a really great casual read if you’re interested in cultivation parodying and a powerful intelligent protagonist that knows the cliches.
