An absolutely wonderful book. A must read book if you enjoy reading historical fiction.
Sofonosba Angisola was a woman before her time. She was a magestic painter in a world that only man suppose to be profesional artist. Being so talented, she was introduced into Felipe II's court, There, without her knowlege she found herself in the middle of a secret complot. The Pope ask her to make a portrait of herself....
Here everyone has her own interest, and nobody tells the truth, complots and secrets comes and goes.... There is a lot to tell about this books and its characters so well described. But what will I say anything more when you can just read the book and get kipnaped in its pages,

Historical novel with touches of fiction and inventive. Extremely recommend. If you're talented in what you do, you'll be successful despite of your gender. Sofonisba shows the reality of a female painter who had to overcome doing what she loved in a men dominated world.
