Is it a second chance at happily ever after—or merely an echo of the love they once had and lost?
Sophie Greene thought she was doing the right thing when she left Hope Creek at eighteen. She knew it would break Cade Brookes’s heart…and her own. But at the time, she was certain she’d made the right choice. Now, back in the small town after her mom died, she’s far from sure.
Cade’s spent the last twelve years trying—and failing—to forget Sophie. And now that she’s home, she wants a chance to explain why she ruined everything they had. Part of him wants to hear what she has to say. And part of him isn’t sure he can ever let her into his heart. Not again, anyway.
But the truth can’t stay hidden forever. And when Sophie’s secrets are revealed, Cade will need to decide if the possibility of a future with Sophie is worth the risk—or if their love should remain firmly in the past forever…
Oh my what a heartbreakingly beautiful small town romance from Laura Farr. Echoes of Love is the second book on the Hope Creek series and is Sophie and Cade's story.
Fourteen years ago Sophie was the love of Cade's life until she left him without a word. Eighteen months ago Sophie arrived back in Hope Creek for good. She has tried to explain to Cade what happened all those years ago he just won't give her a chance to to tell him the secret she's been harbouring for the last fourteen years. When an incident leaves them in close proximity things take a turn and soon enough their lives are about to change but will Cade finally listen and make a life with the only girl to ever hold his heart or will he continue to push Sophie away.
I totally lost myself in this book, I just didn't want it to end and I cannot wait for more from Hope Creek.
I love small town romance, but this series is amazing! Having read and adored Loving Paisley, I was excited for this book. Echoes of Love is Cade and Sophie’s story, and from reading book #1, we know there is a complicated one.
Childhood sweethearts Cade and Sophie think they have it all planned out, College and then forever, but things don’t work out that way and Sophie leaves without any contact. Fourteen years of secrets and heartbreak later, Sophie arrives back in town to take over her Mum’s shelter and she wants to try and explain. Cade is still angry and hurt and won’t allow it, however life has other plans and it all comes out in the most unexpected way.
This story is all about second chances with a lost love, one that will make you cry, and I mean cry ugly snotty tears, but it also makes your heart warm. Sophie has a tender heart, and Cade loves wholly and fiercely. Their love for each other is evident, but can their past really allow them a future.
Laura has created this fictional town and in both books her story plays out in my head like a film. This is a credit to Laura’s descriptive and emotional writing. I simply couldn’t put the book down. If you love a story which is a tender, emotional rollercoaster with a HEA, then you need to buy this today, but read book 1 first.
We are back in Hope Creek and I was ready for Cade and Sophie's story. We met Cade in the first book, we knew his story was going to be hard. Sophie and Cade's second chance at love is tough, its emotional, rough, frustrating, heartfelt, sweet and you just want these two to finally get back together. These two have been separated long enough, and while they did have a falling out, their emotions were so high, you could feel how much they still cared for each other. Cade has always loved his girl, but can he trust her with his heart again? Will they be able to get over their past and go forward with their future? She wrapped up their story with a pretty little green bow and lots of heart eyes. Definitely recommend this series!!!
Echoes of Love is the second book in the Hope Creek series and it is just as great as book one. Cade and Sophie’s story is one of second chances, and I was hooked from the start. I love a small town romance and this one ticks all the boxes for me. Cade and Sophie so deserve their HEA. I can't wait to read more books in the series!
Wow the second book in the hope creek series and what a book it is. I managed to read an ARC copy of this book and I was not disappointed. Sophie and Cade although was dealt with a 14 year secret that destroyed what they had, truly showed how love can conquer anything and that second chances are worth taking. I would definitely recommend this book. Well done laura on another fantastic book.
Echoes of Love is the second book in this latest series by Laura Farr and I have absolutely loved being back with the residents of Hope Creek. I may have staked my claim for Nash Brookes after reading Loving Paisley but I have to say that his brother Cade, who is our leading man in this book, is a definite contender for my heart!
This second chance romance is Cade and Sophie’s story and I enjoyed getting to know more about them both. They may have been separated for a number of years, however, their love for each other never faded. Now that they have found each other again, there is much uncertainty whether they can have the HEA together that they always wanted and indeed expected. Communication is the key to a successful relationship and this is what let the couple down in the past. It is so important that they learn to talk to each other and express their thoughts and feelings in order to be able to move forward. However, Sophie has to explain what happened all those years ago and also Cade needs to listen and understand. That isn’t as easy as it sounds and there were times when I wondered if they could ever put the past behind them and move forward together.
I absolutely loved the final quarter of this book. I found there was lots happening which affected both Cade and Sophie. The storyline became exciting, and I didn’t want to put my Kindle down until I discovered how their journey would conclude. I connected with the story at this point and therefore experienced more emotions – which I loved. Prior to this, it seemed to me that much of the focus was on Sophie being unwell and whilst I do appreciate it was necessary for the reader to understand how bad things were for her, however, for me, it felt repeated and I would have liked more to the storyline in order to fully grab and hold my attention.
Echoes of Love is told using the POVs of both Cade and Sophie – and I loved this. In addition, there is a very much welcomed chapter narrated by another character which I felt worked perfectly. I cannot wait to see what develops as this series continues.
Wow! I picked this up not really expecting very much and boy it grabbed me and doesn't let me go until I finished.
We return back to Hope Creek and this story slightly over laps the previous book, loving Paisley. This kind of confused me at first because it had been a while since I read the first book but I needn't have worried because thing fell into place pretty quickly.
Sophie and Cade are childhood sweet hearts who were completely into each other. Cade went to medical school and Sophie found out she was pregnant but she had difficulties so she disappeared. Cade had spent the last 14 years hating Sophie for leaving him without knowing the real reason. When the reunite can they really out the past behind them or is love not enough?
This book tackles the serious issue of hyperemesis gravidarum and I thought the way the author dealt with this was really good. It was dealt with sensitively and I genuinely felt for the characters having to go through all this as it must be horrendous.
I genuinely loved Sophie and cade's story and I now can't wait for the next adventure in Hope Creek.
Tugged at my heart strings: I really loved this second chance romance even though it was quite emotional and heart wrenching. It was wonderful being back in Hope Creek and getting to know Sophie and Cade better as I had been intrigued about them since first meeting them in the prior book. Whilst it did provide some backstory I don't think it is absolutely necessary to have first read that in order to enjoy this story. It took a while for Sophie and Cade to get over the secrets and past hurts, especially as Cade stubbornly refused to talk things over. Even though they had some hurdles to overcome, I was rooting for them the entire time and thought they were both so deserving of their HEA. I loved how the story flowed and seemed to evolve effortlessly. This is turning out to be a phenomenal series and I can't wait to see what comes next. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Oh Laura certainly knows how to write a small town romance with ALL the feels. Add in the fact that this is a second-chance romance and that makes it all the sweeter.
Sophie was the love of Cade's life until she left him without a word then 14 years later she is back in town but Cade is not interested in hearing her reasoning or finding out the secret as to why she left.
When events take over and force them to spend time together will Cade finally allow Sophie to tell him what happened and will finally get the girl he loves still back.
This story made me ugly cry and rip my heart out but Laura managed to heal it in the best way possible. Even when Cade is angry and hurt with Sophie you can still feel the love he has for her, but is it enough?
Well done Laura on another brilliant read
ARC received in exchange for an honest review from the Author
Oh my heart! This story is such a raw and heartbreaking second chance romance that Farr has given us and I could not get enough. It was stunning, beautiful and so much more. Seeing Sophie and Cade work through their past and why things happened the way they did really hits you hard with the feels. What I loved about this story is that it was low drama but all about rebuilding the relationship that these two had. As they navigate the future while letting go of the past, there are things that throw them curveballs but I found it added to the depth of the story and the relationship that these two have. From the small things like the fair to the bigger things like Cade being there for her while experiencing something so rough. This is an amazing story and I highly recommend it, the first book in the series as well plus I am dying to get my hands on Seb now!
Book Two in the Hope Creek Series is a tear jerker, second chance romance.
Sophie and Cade's story is one that will definitely not be forgotten because as they say, broken hearts can always be mended right? But when a fourteen year old secret threatens their HEA will love conquer all for these destined lovers. And the cheeky intro for Hope Creek 3 will have you excited for more.
Well done Laura on creating a fabulous series for us all to swoon over. Your words never fail to make us fall in love with your characters. Cade is definitely no exception to rule and he stands high with likes of Mason, Sawyer and Nash.
I give 4.5 stars. Pace is pretty steady. Some smaller dramas throw in, usually due to lack of communication, which they realize more than once. Sometimes it is due to just plain not paying enough attention, such as the restaurant scene. I knocked off half a star because Sophie, while understandably upset, hormonal, and extremely ill, cries too much for me—and I say this as someone who cries at the drop of a hat. I like how very aware they are where they themselves have done or said the wrong things. I feel really bad for Seb and Elise, though Elise was starting to get presumptuous. I am looking forward to more stories in the series.
This is the second book in the series. It's a beautiful second chance romance. There is plenty of emotion that I could feel through out the book. I'm not gonna lie this one took me a bit to get into. Cade and Sophia have a past that touches down to their souls, but it didn't end on a good note. Now years later they still feel the hurt from the past, but life has thrown them another curve ball. My heart goes out to Sophia because what she goes through is so tough for me to read, but I can't imagine living it. Fate has given these two a second chance, but will they be too stubborn to let the past get in the way?
Omg what a little tear jerker this book is 😭😭😭 book 2 in the Hope Creek series sees Sophie telling boyfriend Cade to follow his dreams and to attend his placement to become a trauma physician, but what follows that is 14 years of heartbreak 💔 as they split away………
This is a second chance romance but it’s a heartfelt, tear descending bumpy ride to get that hea…….lots of 🥵🥵🥵 in between to keep you on the edge of your seat wink 😉
Reading about the painful decision Sophie made when she was younger that saved her life made me think about the topic, why it’s not so black and white, and what if she wasn’t legally allowed to. I would never want to be in her position and I could tell it haunts her everyday what she had to do. It made me cry thinking about her pain. I can understand with how bad her condition is why she wouldn’t want to put her body through pregnancy again. Cade was a clueless jerk at times, but he also steps up to take care of her to help her make it through the worst of it. They have their share of stubborn arguments and scares, but also some funny sexy romantic moments in this second chance romance.
This is book 2 in the Hope Creek series which brings characters that we have already met in book 1 and I really enjoyed this story.
Sophie and Cade were childhood sweethearts who have a secret that ripped them apart that left with them 14 years of heartache for both of them, yet neither really knowing the reasons why. This leads to a journey filled with pure emotions that keep you hooked to this story to find out what happens to this couple. Cade and Sophie's story was so well written and held me captive throughout with a unique storyline. Would highly recommend this book and loved that it had a unique storyline.
I would recommend this book, it was great, I read this as an ARC and I am giving my honest opinion.
I received an advanced reader copy of Echoes of Love in exchange for a honest review.
I was so excited for Sophie & Cade's story after being introduced to them in Loving Paisley, but Echoes of Love fell a little flat. The story picks up where Loving Paisley ends, with the focus shifting to Sophie and Cade. Their physical connection felt sudden, and aside from the fire at the end, most of the conflict between Sophie and Cade could have been avoided with proper communication with one another.

I loved this book! It’s a sweet romance and an emotional one and had me crying quite a few times. I wondered what happened with these two while reading book one in this series and we get the answer in this one. Cade and Sophia have a lot to deal with most of them 14 years old. Will they be able to do it? Take a trip to Hope Creek and see what happens.
Echoes of Love is the second book in the Hope Creek series by Laura Farr. This is Cade Brookes and Sophie Greens love story. Or maybe love lost story is a better description. Sophie left Hope Creek and Cade when she was eighteen and no one knew why. She returned and wants to talk with Cade but her refuses. Laura explores the impact on both Cade and Sophie’s lives made by her decision. The pain, loss and bitterness are presented with sensitivity. As the reader I felt the emotional turmoil and anguish each have experienced from a love lost. I am enjoying the Hope Creek series and look forward to book three.
Absolutely magnificent! I couldn’t put this book down!! Emotional, and so well written. Sophie was very sweet and Cade was hot as hell. There was so many twists and turns, it kept .e glued throughout. Laura's best book so far!! Can't wait for more. I need the next book today 😉😉 Get your copy xx
This was such a sweet heartwarming story. My heart broke for what Sophie went through. I could understand why she stayed away for as long as she did. I’m glad they worked things out and got their HEA. Now I’m anxious to see what happens with Cade’s siblings.
What a sweet small town love story. Sophie and Cade had so much to go through to find their happily ever after. From the true reason Sophie left, to dealing with a current relationship. They knew they were truly meant for each other, but always put what they thought the other person wanted first. Sometimes it was so frustrating. As Sophie found out about Cade’s life, I wanted to scream, stop ignoring it and talk about it. Overall, this was an amazing story of accepting love and family no matter how hard it is to go forward. I highly recommend you give this book a try. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Kleenex needed. Storyline is great, engaging and very interesting. It’s a second chance romance with a lot of angst and drama. A lot of rejection and misunderstanding as a lack of communication. It’s hard to put this book down even it will leave you heartbreaking and sobbing.

So I went straight from Nash & Paisley to Cade & Sophie. I didn't think I'd love them as much as I did the first book but I was wrong. This book had it all! A second chance at love, a secret baby and tons of family moments. I laughed, I cried and I also threatened to throw my kindle a time of two. I can't wait for book 3!
I was so excited to read Sophie and Cade’s story, developing my curiosity in book one of this series, I was not disappointed. Their journey was a long and bumpy one, but I’m thrilled they got their HEA in the end.
Books like this one just solidify my absolute love of small-town romances. This book gave me all the feels and is the most epic kind of second chance romances you will read. Doctor and his high school sweetheart reconnecting in the best possible way - SWOON!!
The great thing about this book was that it played out like a movie in head and I could really felt a part of the story. I was all in for the highs, lows and everything in between. Another review for this book states that it's like Virgin River and I wholeheartedly agree!!
Over the years, Laura has proven herself to be an instant one-click author for me and you are missing out if you don't pick up any of her books today!
I would urge you to start with the first book in the series, Loving Paisley, first - a phenomenal second chance at love romance with a meet cute on an airplane with a cop!!!! A hot cop at that.
A small town romance is just what I needed. I loved Sophie & Cade in Living Paisley but reading their story, it was beautiful to read it as it unfolded. Cafe is unbelievably swoony and Sophie is so sweet. Love a good Dr!
