A Warrior For Her

Rate this book
A shocking revelation about her best friend sends Libby reeling. The more she finds out, the more confused she becomes. But what she’s always known about Emma doesn’t jibe with what her girlfriend Jo and her vampire friends tell her.

Jo’s obvious prejudice only serves to further muddy the picture. To make things worse, Libby has no idea how she keeps inciting Jo’s anger. It soon becomes clear that Emma’s whole family is in terrible danger, and Libby doesn’t know if she can forgive her own part in it. When Emma is taken, Libby vows to find her at any cost.

Soon, Libby faces a difficult being herself and losing the love of her life, or risk losing herself in order to save their love.

This was a really good continuation of the series. I thought Libby’s stubbornness was annoying and their arguing because of it was repetitive. The ending was unsurprising based on some other things that had happened in the series, but I still didn’t really like how it ended. This was a good series overall and the action especially in the second book was really great.

This series would have been a 💯 BUT WE NEVER GOT TO SEE JO BITE HER AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA there was so much BUILD UP the ANTICIPATION and then WE DONT GET TO READ IT 😭 anyway OTHER than the lack of a final biting/claiming scene in this excellent unique well written sapphic vampire duology, several out of ten, would recommend.

BUT I think there’s gonna be a book three so I’m giving it the five stars in the hopes I will survive the intermission and get the payoff in the end.

Well well well…

This has been quite the ride. I began to worry about our two MC’s. This book was filled with much angst. I didn’t feel the connection that I was used to feeling when it came to Jo and Libby. No was gone too much trying to figure out her business interests and a problem that she had. We saw Libby being taken care of and showcasing her relationship with others.

We see Emma take center stage and this become about her. Maybe it’s just me, but this all took too long to go through. I found myself picking up the book and putting it down. Parts of the book felt a bit of much ado about nothing. We needed more Libby and Jo for the ending to really mean something and hit its mark. It didn’t. It wound up being underwhelming. All the times that Libby felt as if she was cheating when she accepted vampire blood for healing, she anxiously accepted two boons. I don’t get it. It’s ok from someone else, but not at the hands of Jo and her friends? It appears a bit hypocritical in my eyes.

Libby was supposed to accept Jo as the life Jo lives. Not this way. Jo does more for Libby than it seems Libby does for Jo. And this was supposed to be the promise that Jo elicits from Libby. Libby failed. Unless there is more to come and all is not as it seems.

Hopefully, the next installment will be much more exciting and really pulls Libby and Jo together. The “claiming” is about soulmates. And Libby not allowing this to play like it should leaves me bothered.

Amazing, Stunning, Beautiful!

I enjoyed every second of this book! The action and chemistry and tension had me on the edge of my seat!
The only thing was that I was a bit disappointed was that I feel we did not see as much of Jo as the first book.Yet every time she was in a scene she commanded it. I may be just a bit in love with her too.
I love the fleshing out of the minor characters. It really adds the layers and colors to Libby and Jo's life.
Libby and Jo are an amazing if a bit frustrating couple and I would honestly read 100 books about them and their relationship.
I can't wait until the third book!

Book Two in this series was every bit as awesome as Book One. Jo and Libby struggle with their relationship, mostly because Jo is so concerned about Libby's safety. And yet again, another threat pops up but this one isn't aimed directly at Libby. It's aimed at her best friend, Emma, who turns out to be half fae! Worse, the fae and vampires generally don't get along.

But because she loves Libby, Jo moves heaven and earth to help Libby when trouble does finally strike.

But for Jo to finally claim Libby as her own, Libby must become immortal. Can she make that choice, even for love?

Libby has things to believe and follow even though she doesn't want to go!

Libby our little warrior does it again. Finding our that her bff is fae and someone is out to get her friend. No wonder Emma looks so good, but unfortunately her father is the target and it takes a whole bunch of different people, vampire, werewolf or shape shifter and a human with arthritis with a bad knee to help track Emma. Enjoy!

A good sequel

I quite enjoyed the first book and this sequel wasn't on my radar so I was quite happy when it popped up. The main characters make for an interesting pair and though the story was a little slow in places over all it was a good read.

Enjoyed the first book so much, I bought the second one right away. Really liked this one too. Lots of action, a bit of angst, great characters. I'm glad I took a chance on these books.
