The book is short but very well condensed. It takes you from the basics to the hardest and most confusing parts of the administration and configuration of multiple aspects of dashboards. I really like the summaries at the end of each chapter and the thought-provoking questions. I believe it is a good book, but I wouldn't recommend it because all the information is available on the internet and Microsoft's website. So, it isn't really necessary, but if you want it, go ahead—I don't think you will regret the purchase.
