A very interesting read on mythology and how history has influenced the gods. I would like this book better in hard copy. It would be easier to keep up with the names, at least for me.

I love the way this book was organized. It's part anthropology/archeology as well as a collection of myths around a theme for example gods helping humans. The illustrations are bright and consistent throughout the myths with real archeological finds added in for context.

This book is amazing! It would be a great book to read one story a day! It goes through different Gods of the ancient world and relates them into categories like gods of nature. It also include historical finds which is neat. It’s a beautiful mosh mash of myth, history, and peoples.

My family enjoyed the audio version driving together in the car. It was cool to hear lesser known stories and to have the commonalities discussed.
