This is my second time following a yearly Bible plan. This was by far my favourite layout!

This book broke down the Bible into small daily readings consisting of sections of the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs. Each day also contained a short (~100 word) reflection. I really enjoyed this Bible reading plan and how the reflections were aimed at women today. It was a nice way to spend 15 to 20 minutes at the end of each day.

NLT The One Year Bible for Women does the job for me that I've always needed to be done: which is, to divide the Bible into 365 readings, so that I really can read the Bible in a year. The daily readings include, in the easy-to-understand New Living Translation (NLT) this: a passage of the Old Testament; a passage of the New Testament; a Psalm or a portion of a Psalm; and several (or even one verse) verses of Proverbs. This daily collection of the key parts of the Bible is easy to sit down and read; to meditate on; to worship and to enjoy.

In addition, there is also a daily devotional (that means 365 of them, plus book introductional writings) which closes out the daily Scripture reading portions. They are written specifically for women, by a woman. They are, in turns, exhorting, encouraging, thoughtful, even wrestling for the truth of God's Word.

I highly recommend this Bible to you. It has been an exhilarating and utter joy for me to read.

I've seen many plans for reading the Holy Bible in one year, but this special Bible takes it a step further. Each day offers an Old Testament reading, a New Testament selection, and readings from Psalms and Proverbs. They are all together, listed under the same date, so they're right at your fingertips. The New Living Translation is easy to understand, there are commentaries and devotions to enhance your understanding, and each day's selection can be completed in 15-20 minutes. For easy reference, The One Year Bible for Women begins on January 1, but I didn't receive my copy until late October. My one-year reading journey began then..what a blessing!

Are you thinking of starting your own one-year reading plan? This is the Bible for you! It's perfect for new believers or seasoned Christians, for personal Bible study, or even for use in a small group setting. An added attraction is that The One Year Bible for Women can be paired with the One Year Bible for Men, making these Bibles a great resource for couples’ devotional experiences. This Bible is also a wonderful gift suggestion!

The One Year Bible for Women (NLT) has such pretty cover art, which is what first grabbed my attention, with the sweet bird.

I usually read through the Bible every year using an app, but this coming year I want to use this Bible because its layout is simple and easy to follow. I like that it’s a devotional Bible, so every day has a short devotional for women—just about 100 words—that only takes a few minutes to read but still feels meaningful.

Reading the whole Bible might seem overwhelming, especially if you’ve never done it before. But this Bible splits it into 365 short daily readings that only take about 15-20 minutes. It’s a nice way to start or end your day.

I appreciate how this Bible encourages my daily reading and uses easy-to-understand language (New Living Translation). The devotions also give me something to think about. I like studying on my own, but this Bible plan could be used in small groups. There is a One Year Bible for Men as well.

I've been enjoying this daily bible reading as well as the devotionals that are included. It's a perfect fit for my quiet time with God. I like that it only takes about 15 minutes but then I can use the rest of my time to meditate and listen to what God is speaking to me.

I'm so glad I read the whole Bible! This was such a doable way to do it, requiring no more than 30 minutes a day. In this version, I am curious why Misty Arterburn went through Psalms twice instead of once. I think all the other books were in there once. I liked how she had a short commentary after each day's reading, and it usually related to women.
The Bible is a fascinating supernatural book, that was written over 2,000 years ago, in three languages, over 1,500 years, by over 40 authors (who were mostly Jewish) on three continents, and covering 4,000 years of history.
It's made up of history, poetry, songs, prophesies, parables (stories with lessons), promises, instructions, secrets, and more.
It's a book that you should read all the chapters, the whole book, and not just parts here and there, so you can see the whole story.
I recommend everyone read it!
