Jaerin seems like a hip college girl, but she spends her days as a shut-in geeking over Hwi, the male lead of her favorite period drama “Hwaya.” As part of a family intervention, her sister talks her into accepting a job as a TV extra. Upon arrival, Jaerin discovers that the set is for “Hwaya” but ruins the takes with her awkward movement. Worse comes to worst when she wanders off set and runs into Ahn, the actor playing Hwi. While Jaerin loves Hwi to death, she couldn’t care less about the egomaniacal star bringing him to life. Yet lo and behold, a near-fatal accident transports them into the drama! The once fictional world is now their reality. Jaerin must act out the role of Hwaya, the dragon maiden who saves her country from peril, without butchering her lines. Can she put up with Ahn and pull off her role as the heroine in a world without outtakes?
i love this webtoon SO MUCH !!!!!!!!! reminds me of July Found By Chance, The Truman Show, and Neverending story meets a historical K-drama. i’m all caught up and just vibrating for new updates every week.
FL is living the fangirl dream of being transported to a drama world with her bias and being his female lead. I like how the story still plays out quite differently even though both MCs know how the story goes because, while FL holds the same strong sense of justice, she's not as boring as the original FL. It's a saturated trope but they do it in an entertaining fashion. ML also has these vulnerable moments which are quite precious. It's exciting to see when he'll finally learn how to love as deep as an ancient man (the kind that's willing to be physically ripped apart and sacrifice themselves to save someone) compared to a modern man who is a stranger to physical pain, both as an actor and as a person. The second ML really lives up to his title (he makes me want to root for him). I don't blame the FL for getting attached to these 'NPCs'. Love triangles always leave one person hurt, and I can already see this cliche happening. 😷 I would be pleasantly surprised if the villain, Bak Hwan, would turn out to be something more than meets the eye. Afterall, i'd like to believe that no good-looking person who cares for his sister (who's equally as pretty) so much is a bad person.
PS. FL is a natural at seducing people and she doesn't even realize it. The second male lead is SO FINE TOO. HE'S SO PURE. I'LL TAKE HIM IF YOU DONT WANT HIM, OKAY?
I- This was sooo great omg! I don't want it to be over 😭😭 sobbing!! Jaerin, Ahn, Gari and every character in this book were so great!! I cannot form words rn because it's too late and I couldn't sleep until I finished it but this just became my favourite manga! It had everything I want in a manga 🥹 perfection
so, so funny. i love the originality of this!!! and the overall ‘dynamics’ between our two mains, if you will. they’re such a great match! even though they don’t seem to realize that themselves just yet, lol. super excited to see where this goes! #intrigued
…i genuinely can’t believe i haven’t been leaving any more comments or making any updates WHAT.SO.EVER. since this ^ one right there. i’m so ashamed, knowing how invested i’ve been these last couple of months… as well as disappointed in myself. (normally, i would’ve made sure to do so—especially for a story this compelling and enthralling.) i mean, soooo, so much has been going on since i first started reading…!!! i haven’t been doing this manhwa justice, i can tell you that much. but i’ll try my best to make this review at least semi-worth it!
this manhwa is so much more than just ‘funny with some interesting dynamics’ or whatever. there’s been so much complexity, character development and emotional depth, slowly building up—ESPECIALLY during these last 30-ish chapters or so. just next level ethereal writing, honestly. words can’t seem to express just how much i feel for these characters, i swear to all that is holy. not only that, but the art is so crazy beautiful as well!!! (once again, especially during the latter half of the story once things started to get heavy and the expressiveness of the art got to truly come alive.) honestly, i’m kinda floored—having read the final chapter just now, ten minutes ago. this comic had me tearing up and laughing and literally sobbing and full-on screaming into my pillow at three A.M. (for reasons i won’t dive into here), and it’s just… such a bittersweet feeling, knowing that it’s all over now. i’m getting emotional just writing this, lol.
‘no outtakes’ didn’t take me by storm at first, but that was a mistake—or miscalculation, if you will—on my part. it’s a virtual masterpiece, and i implore EVERYONE to read it… because it’s truly worth all the appreciation and attention it receives. i don’t doubt i’ll come back for seconds, either. and next time, i’ll be able to binge the whole thing in one go; not having to depend on weekly updates and such! ahhh, such a blessing. i’m already looking forward to it. <33
in the future, when the timing for rereading is juuust right, i’ll head back over to webtoon and purchase all the chapters so i won’t have to ‘respect’ the daily update-rule, either. it’s not even that much of a big deal (dealing with the daily updates, i mean), but i personally believe it’s a worthy investment. just imagine having the opportunity to binge this, in full, for the very first time!!! ahhh, the thrill. <33 i mean, the artist absolutely deserves it as well—naturally! so, i wish to thank you, dear creator, for your beard work, and for creating this beautiful, heavy, memorable, ENGAGING piece of art. i’m genuinely thankful.
P.S. i’ll be looking forward to your new story as well! having read this one, i already know it’s going to be amazing. i can’t wait!

I have to say that the premise of this comic, was what made me curious to read. A fangirl get into her favorite drama, with her favorite character and her being portrayed as the main character.
I wasn't expecting too much. Maybe some romance, some fun punchlines, etc. But thanks lord, I received so much more.
Jaerin (our Mc) has her own way of seeing things, and I loved the way when faced with cliches (like some random girl flirting with Hwi), she was more fascinated that someone was appreciating her favorite character than feeling jealous of it.
Her scene in the end with Gari and mostly her scene after seeing Ahn again, made me cry so much, she was so precious.
Ahn gave me a different story. He was the "bad and annoying guy", but at the same time he cared a lot for her, tried to always make her smile and even the difficulty of their situation be easier to her.
I hate Park Hwan with all my heart for what he made Ahn go through.
And Gari, my sweet Gari. Even the story being open about he being the second love interest, I really hope that he live a beautiful life and receive all the love he deserves.
This story was light most of the time, but gave me hope, made me love the characters, cry with them and cheer with all goals they reached.
I love them and this story made me really happy for being the last read of my year.
Que decir... me siento triste porque ya termine esta historia, pero... ME ENCANTO!
Obviously this is not a traditional book but I think the writing in this was really good and the writer clearly had an amazing vision for the story. I like it when the story has little easter eggs throughout that all come together in the end, and that is exactly what happened in this story.
The characters were fun to read about and it didn’t take long for me to care about them and the art was exemplary, but also I always think that about every comic I read (because can you imagine drawing that many panels??) so I may be biased.
A fun story where two actors land up trapped inside the historical drama they were filming. She's a die hard fan and part time extra, he's the top star who portrays her all time favourite character. Now they've got to learn to get along with each other and survive in a bizarre historical era with zombies. The character interactions were what may this an enjoyable read. It got a bit boring towards the end, where action took over from interaction, but the ending was satisfying.
”I was drawn to him… slowly and quietly over time like snowfall.”
This took me a long time to get back to and a while to finish because it’s daily pass BUT this might be one of the most well written historical/Isekai manhwas I’ve read. The romance, the intense plot, the second lead syndrome, the character arcs are incredible. Truly underrated
this was surprisingly good. i thought i'd be dying of secondhand embarrassment bc of the mc's whole fangirl thing, but it was honestly not bad at all! helps that the ml was realistically freaked out by it. all the characters were great, the plot had the perfect amount of highs and lows, etc.
It’s a good story but I feel like the chapters are a bit of a recap sometimes. I haven’t seen the relationships develop in a while, it’s like they are stuck in the twilight zone. But I really like the story.
While I love the webtoon, I'm severely disappointed in who Jarein ended up with in the end. I much preferred the second male lead. But I hope to read a spin off in the future.
Good story arc, if somewhat lackluster ending. Boring male lead, if I'm honest. The female lead was the bright spot, and the second male lead had more personality.
This is genuinely one of my favorite web series that I've read. I'm not usually into fantasy, but this was an exception. And the characters' developments are *chef's kiss*
Great story and world building. The drawings are simply amazing. I would've loved a bit more of the end of the story in the real world, but enjoyed all the solutions nevertheless.
Not exactly enemies, not exactly lovers, not exactly a love-triangle, and yet exactly what I wanted!
A satisfying story that goes from light-hearted to dark so gradually that you don't even notice until blood starts being drawn. The ending had me in tears, both happy and utterly devastated.
