This was book 4 in the "Brutal Kings" series. Nikki wanted answers and she got them only she didn't know how to handle them. This book pick up where the last one left off with Dario being shot. When someone tries to kill him in the hospital Mateo brings Dario home and Nikki nurses him back to health. Dario tells Nikki that he meant it when he told her she was free but that he hopes she stays. This was a good read Dario is getting to the bottom of who wants him and his family dead. Dario was more emotional in this book and I guessed what his cousin told him. This series is full of action just what I want to see in reading a mafia read. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Wow! The action in this book is in your face. Dario and Nikki seem to be in a good place after his close call, but things are coming out that threaten their happy existence. When Nikki bolts, Dario expects it but he doesn't know what she heard however he is going to protect her at all costs because he realizes that he does love her. My issue with Nikki at this point is, ma'am you've been in this man's world long enough to throw away those rose colored glasses. He's protected you from day 1 and proved that he may have a monster side, but he's not your monster...stop running! Like Andy said, you want someone to blame, blame your piece of shit father who got you in this mess. I'm definitely on pins and needles for the final book because Eduardo's mic drop at the end left me with my mouth open! I know Mya is going to tie it in a neat bow for me though.

Well that just got REAL interesting!!!! This book had me at the edge of my seat the entire time. Dario and Nikki's story veers onto a very dark path and I LOVED IT!!! And those steamy scenes were so 🔥.

I don't know how Mya does it, but this series just keeps getting better and better. I felt Nikki's pain at the though of possibly loosing someone she loves, the pain at the choice she feels she has no choice but to make. And how does she make it that I feel sorry for Dario and fall for him even more?

This book leaves us with another cliff hanger and it was a fricken great one! Can Dario trust the people he has surrounded himself with? Will Nikki be safe? What about her sister? Will Dario's family cause even more harm? I have so many questions!!!!!

Mya, you did another fantastic job and I can't wait to read the last book in the series and see where you take these characters!!

The story darkens as Nikki discovers chilling facts about her lover. Really loving this continuing story of Nikki and Dario’s dark romance. As Nikki cares for Dario in his recovery she overhears a conversation which has her re-evaluating her feelings for him. I like that this story moves along with each installment, with new aspects of Dario’s lifestyle being revealed; along-side this, Nikki is also changing and adapting to her new reality. There are a few shocks, including what has happened to her sister and an old enemy resurfacing. The story ends on another teasing cliff-hanger causing the reader to ask if anybody is what they seem to be?

Mya Grey has created this fantastic world that draws you in from the first page.
You feel for Dario so much more in this book than the others. He was cold with Nikki until he realized she was the woman for him. Then he couldn't take his hands off her. The one time he did let her go, she hears the monster that he is. Dario is an evil man, but he's doing it to protect his family. And Nikki is his family now.
Read each book and see the love grow between Dario and Nikki. It will leave you wanting more!!!

Dario Caraldi saves his son Daniele and Nikki Love when they are targeted. He ends up being shot in the back and someone tries to finish him off in the hospital. Mateo brings Dario home and Nikki nurses him back to health. Dario emphasizes to Nikki that he meant it when he told her she was free but that he hopes she stays.

What does Nikki hear that sends her running? What does Dario’s uncle and cousin Eduardo Jr have planned? Can Dario stop them? Will Dario end up getting his hands dirty after trying to stay on the right side of the law? Will someone close to Dario betray him?

The exciting story of Dario and Nikki continues in book four as Dario is recovering from his injuries. Both characters know they love one another but it quickly changes when Nikki overhears Dario’s decision as to what to do with his would be assassin. She flees from Dario when she finds she and her sister are in danger from Eduardo and his men. This book ends in an exciting cliffhanger which will keep you on the edge of your seat. The fifth and final book in the series is Desired.

Oh, my word just when I think this series can’t get any better well think again. Mya brings all sorts of action with this 4th book. Dario is on his way to recovery and will stop at nothing to protect Nikki and his son. What will happen when she over hears his plans? The ending will totally have you in shock. Desires can’t come fast enough.
I was honored to receive an arc copy of this book and I am freely leaving my review.

OH MY WORD THIS SERIES IS TO DIE FOR!

The tension and suspense regarding Dario and Nikki’s relationship is nail biting!

Nikki has accepted Dario’s past until she overhears a conversation between him and his brother regarding an incident that happened in the hospital with a Russian assassin……

This is the culmination of her heart breaking as she has to leave the love of her life behind……

We are nearing the end where more twists are revealed for the final book and it cannot happen sooner!

Just Got Real

We find ourselves at the height of the series in the next to last book of the series. Both Nikki and Dario have to navigate through the muck of what has been brewing.

This was a quicker read because I was lost in the pages trying to get to answers and the safety of the melee. Really enjoyed this one because the answers are plenty but leaves enough for the finale to tie in a bow. Here's hoping for an ending I can live with.🤞

OMG!!! What a story. The action just gets better and better and you cannot put the book down. After hearing what is cousin Ecuador said I hope it is not true. But I have to admit that I had a feeling Mateo might not be on the same side. I wished Dario could have explained to Nikki what was happening before placing the on the safe good. Can't wait for the final book.

The fourth book in the five book series about Dario and Nikki. After Dario gets injured in the previous book, Nikki can’t deny her feelings and takes care of him while he heals. But she comes across more realization about his world and it may be her breaking point. Anxiously awaiting the next, and final, book to see how it all plays out!

This book has me feeling so many different emotions right along with Nikki. Despite what she learned about Dario, she loves him. He stops fighting his feelings and finally allows himself to love her back. The things get crazy and everything is turned upside down to say the least. I have to learn what happens next and how it all ends. So excited for book 5.

I really enjoyed Nikki and Danio,they are both strong people, he may use her but he has feelings for her that he trys to resist.Nikki has a mess up life with her father selling her off like she is like trash and then realize she has something that get more money but Danio strands firm and won't let her go.Great Author!

Possessed is book four in the series Brutal Kings by author Mya Grey. Lord have mercy this one get dark- so in book three stuff went down- and now certain characters are recovering. Oh some hushed talk sends Love heading for the hills. (dumb if you ask me- but again that’s me) So Dario learns there might be another betrayal- right now it’s chaos- loving it.

The Twist That Wasn't

There's foreshadowing and there's giving away a twist. This wasn't foreshadowing. However, hopefully, we saw our FMC have real character growth. I'm looking forward to reading about the other side characters in their stories. The next book is the last so I guess we will see how this gets wrapped up.

How can I make it any clearer?? You have to read ANYTHING by Ms Mya Grey. Woman is on fire and her scenes are hot! I wouldn't dream of ruining it for anyone.

Now it's getting good. Family maybe not be who you should rely on. There were signs Darino kept putting off. Mistake on his part. It was not only his cousin, uncle and father was involved about his mother. Looking forward to the last book.
