FIRST CHAPTER
I have to read this chad wakes up and kicks his hook up out of his bed in the morning.
Turns out, this woman is his fourth assistant - Kendra.
This was a conversation he had with his brothers right after said assistant's gone :
“The four of us paddled out and I had to tell them about Kendra. They were my brothers and we told each other everything.
“I slept with Kendra last night.”
“What?!” Stefan exclaimed. “Come on, Sam. Not again.”
“I honestly don’t remember anything. I was just as surprised as you when I woke up and saw her lying there.”
“Isn’t she like the fourth assistant you’ve slept with?” Simon smirked.
“Shut up.” I splashed him.
“She’s going to quit,” Stefan said. “And then we’re going to have to hire someone else. She’s only been there three months, bro.”
“She’s a mature woman. She’ll be okay.”
“Women are not okay after sleeping with you,” Sebastian said.
“Like any of you can talk. You’re no strangers at leaving a trail of broken hearts.”
“True. But at least we don’t work in the same office with the women we sleep with.” Simon smirked.”
Apparently, sleeping with his assistants is a habit and I don't care how good of a man he may turn out to be later. First impression is important to me.

3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK decent reads.

What i don’t like about a story is when it started with another woman being with the hero even for just one night stand, i don’t want to read that! It didn’t show how the hero and other woman have s*x though but AFTER they did it…. Because it start out like that, it made me uncomfortable because thats not usually what I like to read from the beginning of the book. For me okay. Idk about you.
First time reading from the author! It was not great but it was fine for me. There are scenes i didn’t like it but I’m glad that it has scenes where i was laughing and enjoying it. I didn’t hate the book.

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS A MANWH*RE. He said he is like that because of his parents marriage issues that made him want to always have one night stand and not be permanently attached to a woman.
“My brothers and I had never seen a healthy relationship. We’d only saw the destruction and chaos it caused. It was enough to turn us off from having any type of relationship with women, except a sexual one.”
The hero always finds a easy woman for him so for him to see the heroine is the opposite of that, it made him want her even more and falling for her…
The hero slept with almost every assistant he has so thats annoying to read lol.

‼️‼️‼️THEY STARTED A RELATIONSHIP LIKE FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS. Having s*x but not actually in a relationship.
‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE ALPHA MALE. Not OTT.
‼️‼️‼️THE HERO HAVE THREE TWINS AND HE IS QUADRUPLETS. THE HEROINE IS A TWIN AS WELL BUT ONLY ONE TWIN. Idk but thats interesting and it made me more curious about them. We get to see the heroine is with her twin and the hero is with his three other twins. Siblings love! And of course the heroes brothers made a lot of scenes together which is fun to read.
And of course the heroes brothers likes the heroine to and was very supportive of the relationship.
“Where did that woman come from? She’s gorgeous, overly nice and she bakes. I bet she’s amazing in bed. Tell me, is she?”
“You get that fcking thought out of your head right now.”
‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE IS 28 YEARS OLD AND THE HERO IS 32 YEARS OLD.
‼️‼️‼️NOT LOVE IN FIRST SIGHT. More like a pull kinda thing. But the hero was pretty into the heroine after the first time meeting her….
“She was just sexy as hell. Especially in the tailored pant suit she was wearing. Damn. What I wouldn’t give to see what she was hiding underneath. My imagination really went into overdrive.”
‼️‼️‼️LOCATION: VENICE LOS ANGELES.
‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE IS A SMART, SASSY, KIND AND AMAZING WOMAN. She knows how to cook, bake and make a great coffee. She knows how to defend herself and very friendly to anyone. The heroine have been through a lot so when the hero find out the heroine doesn’t expect more of him like other woman do from his past, he was frowning and mad. It crushes big man ego😂 Damn that was cool to read from the heroine doing that! Yes girl. She knows her worth! Even though the heroine have been through a lot, she’s not difficult to be around with.
“I wasn’t expecting you to call me.”
“You weren’t?”
“No. We were attracted to each other last night, had some fun, and now its time to part ways.”
I had a big smile on my face when i read this🤣🤣🤣🤣
‼️‼️‼️THE HERO WANTS THE HEROINE SOOO BADLY… the heroine wants him too but not like him because she was afraid of being hurt and she knows the hero at first was a bit childish and have man ego.
But I’m glad that the hero keep thinking about the heroine after what happened to them (the one night stand) and thats first for the hero to think about a woman.
“I couldn’t stop thinking about Julia (the heroine) no matter how hard I tried, and I wondered what she was doing. Was she out? Perhaps scoping out her next one night stand? Was she at home alone? Was she with a friend?”
“Julia benton had my attention since the moment I saw her in the cafe that morning, and I wanted to know more about her.”
‼️‼️‼️MANY JEALOUS SCENES FROM THE HERO AND VERY LITTLE FROM THE HEROINE…
“Keep your eyes to yourself and off my personal assistant. The only one who’s allowed to stare at her is me.”
“Sebastian stepped in between Stefan and Julia, took her hand and they began to dance. I inhaled a sharp breath as I stood over to the side and took his turn. I hate all of you, I said.”
‼️‼️‼️VERY HOT SMUT SCENES. At first they did use protection and then they didn’t but both says they’re clean. And after that they didn’t use protection… they didn’t say how long they’ve been celibate.
‼️‼️‼️NO DRAMA WITH OW. ONLY WITH OM BUT NOT TOO ANNOYING AND NOT TOO MUCH. OTHER DRAMA IS MOSTLY ABOUT THEMSELF AND THE HERO’S CLIENT.
‼️‼️‼️IT HAS SEPARATION. The heroine never go to anyone else but she goes to a club after few weeks with her sister and talks to another man while the hero is on a date with another woman. SO THE HERO INVITES ANOTHER WOMAN WITH HIM BECAUSE HE SAID ITS BEEN A WHILE AND HE CAN’T WAIT ANY LONGER FOR THE HEROINE. “Enough is enough”. Which is sucks. I don’t like these type of heroes. He kissed the other woman cheek when he first saw her at the club he was invited to go to. THE HERO HAVE THE NERVE TO BE MAD AT THE HEROINE WHEN HE SAW HER AT THE CLUB TALKING TO ANOTHER MAN. THEY WERE GETTING CLOSER SO THE HERO STEP CLOSER AND PUSH THE OTHER MAN AWAY. Like what? He even asked her what she was doing😒 AND AFTER THAT, THEY GOT BACK TOGETHER AGAIN BUT THE HERO NEVER SAY TO THE HEROINE THAT HE WAS WITH SOMEONE ELSE AT THE CLUB. He keep it to himself and didn’t tell her. Wtf.
THE SEPARATION LAST FOR FEW MONTHS AND NOT LONGER THAN THAT. The hero only did that one time and the heroine only went out like that for one time.
The hero did feel bad and guilty after what happened to them and what made made them separate.
“I was never letting this woman go again.”
“Julia, I swear on my life that I didn’t mean anything I said. (When they were arguing and thats the reason why they’re separated because of the hero’s words) I was scared too because I’d never had feelings for anyone like I have for you. My whole life had been one revolving door between my parents and their multiple spouses. When one would leave, another would come in. The only stability I have in life are my brothers. When my father left us, he did it because he wanted to pursue his dream of creating the biggest and best architect firm in the country. I guess I was afraid if you followed your dream, you’d leave me too.”
‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE DID TALK ABOUT HER PAST PARTNER COUPLE OF TIMES AND THE HERO DID AS WELL BUT NOT TOO MUCH….
I’m glad that the hero when he got back together with the heroine, he mad a great apology and says this:
“But I wanted to be there every step of the way. I know I’m not justin, but I sure as hell want to be the man he was to you.”
‼️‼️‼️VERY HOT SMUT SCENES.
“As I slowly thrust in and out of her, I stared into her eyes as she took in pleasure. The softness of her moans heightened my arousal as her nails dug into the flesh of my skin. ‼️‼️‼️THEIR CHEMISTRY IS GOOD. Not great but good and romantic. Idk but it feels like its more of them fighting against each other and not against the world. It has scenes where the hero takes the heroine on a date but not much.

Overly predictable.
This is the first book I've read by this author and I highly doubt I'll read another. Whilst the premise wasn't new, I don't mind the boss/p.a stories providing there's something original in the plot. This completely fails at that. There are several faults with this book. Firstly, although the number of pages is fairly standard for this genre, it still feels rushed - not the just for the fact you get weeks skipped( that can work if done well)- but even within chapters that are just one or two scenes. The main characters have no real depth, as well as the male lead having the cliched bad example from parents regarding relationships. I'm not sure why authors feel the need to have some sort of traumatic reason for people to be single and enjoy it. Not wanting to have relationships is perfectly fine!
Also, it hints at the whole twin etc psychic bond which is just far fetched. The sibling relationships are also too good to be true.
Furthermore, I'm noticing a trend of authors writing sibling characters apparently not able to call each other by their actual names. The constant use of bro or sis is extremely annoying and is constant in this book.
It's very superficial and I found I just didn't care in the end what happened. Lazy writing.

My biggest critique with this book is the amount of times the author used “The corners of his/her mouth curved upward” to describe someone smiling. That drove me crazy. This book was wildly predictable. I thought it was so cringy, especially the guitar parts/serenading. Also, the part when Julia talked about going to see a therapist and the therapist diagnosing Sam without ever having met him ????????

One of a Kind is book one in the Kind Brothers series. Sandi Lynn has done it again pulling me in and making me fall for her cocky billionaires. The best part is uncovering the real man underneath the jerk. Sam Kind was a jerk among jerks, but that didn’t keep Julia from putting him in his place on the daily. He’s managed to sleep with and run off all his personal assistants, but Julia had a wall around her and she was able to give it right back. The banter between these two was great and watching them both fall was even better. This book was hot and steamy, but tender too. You will fall for all the Kind brothers and be anxious for their story as well.

Such a sweet, sentimental and swoon worthy book! There was quite a few up and down moments, more up than down. The down moments were so sad and the up moments were so wonderful and uplifting. Love was found when you least expect it. Fantastic book!

May 18, 2023Okay, I’m going to try and be nice. If I trail off into my mean stage, I couldn’t help it.
First off, this will be riddled with spoilers for the 12% of the book that I finished so you have been warned.
I’m going to be listing all the problems with this book in a matter of 12% starting with the light stuff and just getting progressively worse.
• The chapters dedicated to Julia were fine to begin with, but when she inevitably meets her new boss, she “gasped looking at the man with irritated eyes.” Now, that’s just me cringing because that really just showed off bad writing.
• All of the chapters were cut in different ways that would make you go “wait, this happened and then suddenly that?” if you were watching a movie. Everything happened fast in those 12% I just read.
• The first chapter starts with a guy regretting sleeping with a woman. Cool, I move past it. Then he tells his brothers he had too much of a drink. Okay, concerned. Then says that the woman he slept with was his assistant and inevitably blames it on her because she was pretty (this part is implied throughout the whole thing even if they didn’t say it out loud). Okay, so I am now getting annoyed.
• The assistant later then shows off seductively even after being told off by the MMC that it was a mistake and later on quits. Now, the reason why I hated this part is because the MMC gets it into his head that he’s not to blame with what happened at all. Not to say the woman was not at fault, sure she was, but he was *the* boss. A level of decorum would have been nice.
• Once his assistant quits, he tells his friend to hire someone that’s in the fifties and then later on says that he should hire someone that isn’t so attractive. Now, I’m going to be not so nice because this man owns a company, is a boss, and somehow can’t keep his penis inside his pants? That’s a bunch of bullcrap. Because, of course, it’s the woman’s fault for being sooo attractive.
As if he’s not supposed to be considered as a predator. If anything he should have been hit with a sexual misconduct when he clearly went through his assistants because he slept with ALL OF THEM. Has nobody learned their lesson when Ned from Try Guys decided to cheat on his wife with a woman working for them? There is no consensual relationship when someone you work with is your boss.
For the love that is holy. Get it together. At least write a truly worthy man because no amount of kindness or good that would replace the bullshit that just happened in those 4 chapters.

H is not redeemable character
As another review said, H invited another woman to a party even though his brothers told him not to. They told him to be patient and wait for h to come around after he had did something behind her back. So what does he do? Decided he had waited long enough and hits up an old hookup and when he is sitting with her at party and h comes into bar he allows his brothers to hustle the other woman out. Disrespectful to the woman he invited on a date, disrespectful to h because she is never told that he was on a date and literally minutes after the other woman is hustled out secretly H is taking h home and professing his love for her….. not to mention the blurb about book is exactly right. H has a totally unprofessional behavior trait of hiring attractive women and then sleeping with them????? So what does h do at end? Finds a MALE assistant cause as she says “1%” uncertain of his future behavior. If it ain’t 100% certain he won’t cheat don’t marry. And that’s without her even knowing that he dated someone same night he professed his love!!!!!! Didn’t have to happen this way. Should have simply allowed h to see him on date, he realizes date was huge mistake and he should have listened to brothers, went separate ways that night, then talked about it next time when they worked it all out. It just gives you vibe that if he cheats his brothers will help him cover it up again next time!!!!!!!! Just ick …..

Absolutely fantastic story love Sam and Julia. I can’t believe Sandi is bringing us another series of hunky Quadruplets the Kind brothers.
Sam has many issues due to seeing his parents divorced so many times over his last 32years of his life. But that changed when he went into a coffee shop and that’s when his eyes landed on Julia Benton. Little did he know that Julia would become his PA. Before she came to work for him they had a one night stand and agreed it would never happen again. Well that’s not the case on a weekend away sparks started to fly with them again.
Sam’s brothers knew what was going on between him and Julia because they could see how his demeanor has changed he was in a better mood and he was happy but that would soon change when a deal he wanted fell through and his company lost Millions and he blamed Julia for it. She had told Sam she was in love with him but he dismissed it. His father had pulled him aside because he could see how much he was in love with Julia.
I loved this book so much I can’t wait to read Stefan, Simon and Sebastian’s books to see how the Kind brothers relationships unfold.

One Of A Kind is the first book in the Kind Brothers series and Sam Kind’s book is wonderfully written. I mean how could you not love four devastatingly handsome quadruplets! I really enjoyed reading Sam and Julia’s story, their meet cute encounter and their sweet and flirty banter is entertaining. I love reading books where a one night stand turns into something more, the story development is engaging and Sandi Lynn definitely didn’t disappoint. Couple that with a charming and touching storyline and you have a winner. And bonus points for the heat factor which is on point just how I like it.
What I love the most is the family dynamic between the Kind brothers. They’re unique and intriguing in their own way which is very appealing and I absolutely cannot wait to read the other brothers’ books.

Loved it, it was sweet and sexy but did come with some heartbreak until they both realize they were meant to be.

Amazing!!
This is the first book in a new series and what an amazing beginning this story is.
This is a well written story which has family, friendships, humour, witty banter, challenges, heartbreak, intrigue, and love which all leads to an entertaining and addictive page turner.

nothing special. Disappointing to say the least
What I hate most about romance stories is when I already set my expectations low and somehow the story finds a way to disappoint me further.
The first half was actually decent and I enjoyed the easy friendship between Julia and Sam. But the moment Julia said that all she had to do was change Sam’s mind about their relationship I knew I wasn’t going to like what was coming next. And lo and behold I was proven right. The story went along as predicted: Julia admits she fell for Sam, Sam brutally rejects Julia, Julia tries to move on and Sam gets his head out of his bum and tries to win Julia back in the most juvenile way. And the piéce de résistance? Julia forgives Sam after a few flowery words like the pushover doormat that she is and they live happily ever after. 🤢
Sam is as scummy as scum can get. Frankly he should have just left Julia alone. He knew what he was doing and yet still place the blame on her all the while acting ignorant. I don’t understand why he’s glorified as book boyfriend. His actions were dirty and Julia was an idiot for taking him back. Sam and Julia’s story was far from one of a kind. There was pretty much a week or a month time jump in every chapter causing the story to be all over the place. Without the details and the amount of time jumps, I did not see any sparks develop between the characters and even the spicy scenes were not giving.

Also what set me off more about this story was that the main H messed up really badly by demeaning h, put so many insecurities in her head, chose money/business over her, pretty much thought that a simple sorry would fix everything, and gave up on trying to fix their relationship after just a few attempts.

Before Henry Kind (the quad's father) marries Celeste (his fifth wife) he tells Samuel and Stefan his plan to retire after his wedding, leaving them in charge of the business so he and Celeste can travel. One of their clients wants to own the building Julia's former boss left to her in a trust so she can open a coffee shop and if he doesn't get the building he is no longer going to work with them. When Julia refuses to sell the building to the client, Samuel says very disparaging things to her, Julia quits working for him effectively ending their relationship, and the client takes his business elsewhere. Samuel is afraid of what Henry will say when he finds out they've taken such a huge loss but he straightens Samuel out and gives him sound advice. Julia starts the remodel in preparation for opening her dream coffee shop. Luckily after a brief separation, Julia gives Samuel a second chance. In the end, they are living together, engaged, and have set a wedding date. Unfortunately, Simon and Jennifer aren't coupled in a future book. ☹️
I enjoyed the story, I even teared up over Julia's panic attack and her description of Justin's death. My rating became 3 stars because: #1) I can't forgive Samuel for trying to manipulate Julia into selling her building; #2) the things Samuel said to Julia when she refused to give up her dream; and #3) the awkward description of the intimate scenes (they all seemed very bumbling, uncomfortable, and unpleasant in my imagination). Loved Julia and Sam's story. Their story was beautifully written and heartfelt. Although they were opposites on a few things, they absolutely worked. Their was just something so special about these two I just have the words to describe it. I was immediately hooked from the first few pages. I can't wait to read about the other brothers.

I am so in love with this story. I have read every one of Sandi Lynn’s books and have loved them all but I have to say Julia has to be one of the strongest of all her female main characters. Such a pleasure to see the female character acting so nonchalant about a one-night stand. Julia is such a strong, smart, independent character and she does not take any bull from Sam. She gives as well as she gets. Sam has finally met his match. They are two peas in a pod, both not looking for any emotional attachment. Usually it’s the female character who gets attached and wants more. But Sam is the one who can’t let go of Julia. She is different than any other woman he has been with. He and his brothers have made a pact that they will not do relationships or fall in love mainly because they have seen how their parents are. Dad on wife number 4 and mom and husband number 2. It’s like a revolving door of partners where his parents are concerned. Sam and his brothers want no part of it.
Sam has a hard time keeping personal assistants. Maybe if he stopped sleeping with them, they would stick around. He is a once and done kind of guy. Not good when you’re looking for a personal assistant to stick around. But Julia is so different. She is not looking for anything more so when they start sleeping together Sam has nothing to worry about. To Sam business always comes first. Woman are interchangeable and therefore replaceable. Meeting Julia he has met his match. It is exciting to see him brought to his knees. Having to realize his feelings or will he use the business to protect his heart. As far as Julia, can Sam crack the wall she has built around her heart. Will she give into her feelings for him that have grown even though she promised herself she would protect her heart at all costs.
Two equally strong people both steering clear of relationships for their own reasons. But what happens when walls crack and they cannot hide their feelings anymore.

Sam is a man who does not have the best track record with women. He has a father and mother who have also been married to other people numerous times. What he does with women works for him until it doesn’t. Sam needs a personal assistant, who knew that when he picked up someone in a bar that she would later turn out to be the new assistant.
Julia is not ready for a relationship after her last one. When she goes home from the bar with the hot guy she met at the cafe that same morning, she wants it to be one night and one night only. When she starts working and sees her hot one night stand as her boss, she is ready to start work like nothing.
Sam is not used to having women be so okay with the one night arrangement, and Julia is totally fine with it. They always say you want what you can’t have and Sam now wants another round.
A work trip changed everything for them. Everything seems to be perfect until it’s not. Will Sam be able to fix what he broke ? Will Julia ever forgive him for everything he’s done ? You’ll have to read to find out !
This is the first book I’ve read by Sandi and I loved it. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. She had me laughing and swooning with Julia and Sam. I highly recommend this book. I can’t wait for the next ones.
