Reasonable Doubts

Rate this book
Well-known, attractive, but aloof criminal solicitor, Hugh Sutherland, is going through a rough patch. Just as his love life appears to be improving, he’s asked to act for an old friend, Gareth Jones, whose wife has been murdered and Gareth is a suspect.

Although Gareth has a cast-iron alibi, recollections of Hugh’s from years before fuel Hugh’s suspicions that Gareth may be guilty.

But as the police investigation seems to stall, Hugh has cause to fear for his family’s safety on two separate fronts, and his own life is disrupted by threats as well as a dramatic and gruelling court hearing…

Ultimately, Hugh is forced to decide how justice is best served.
