I Love This Series!!
Ghost is living the nomad life and has seen his share of ups and downs in life. Roxy is a young grandma who loves her granddaughter but it’s her paternal grandfather who has the clout and is trying to take Opal away from Roxy. Ghost and Roxy meet at one of the Serpents MC businesses as a bartender. They connect on many levels as both of them are now sober and trying to work through life.
There are so many things at stake in this book which is chucked full of drama, deceit and plenty of steam. Ghost and Roxy have become one of my favorite couples. I highly recommend not only this book but this series as well.

Another excellent Serpents MC story! Roxy has been here for a bit, but Ghost...what a great character. Talk about a bombshell admission! Curve ball! WOW! Especially after knowing Python's story in "Past Regrets", it added a totally different spin on how this story played out.
Roxy and Opal snake their way into your heart and combined with all the regret in Ghost's life to this point, it culminates into an amazing story of strength, love and chance.

Ghost has sins to atone for. He is a year sober from alcohol and drugs and almost a year gambling free. He is a nomad biker. He arrives in town to broker a deal between his club and the serpents.
Roxy is also clean and sober from drugs and alcohol. Her inspiration is her beautiful 8 year old granddaughter. She works hard and spends all the time she can with Opal. The real thorn in her side is Opal's grandfather Richard, on her dad's side. He is local money and wants Opal with him.
Opal is a bartender at a club the Serpents run and she is considered family. Ghost comes to the club to speak with the Serpent Prez, this is where they meet.
Roxy is surprised at the attraction she feels toward him, she doesn't have time for this but she does give in to the attraction that night. Ghost is impressed by her, she is a strong woman.
Ghost has another reason for visiting also though...
It seems his club has other plans for the Serpents that they didn't tell Ghost about. When he discovers this he warns the Serpents. They don't trust him so his info is taken with a grain of salt.
Can Ghost stop what his club planned for him and the Serpents?
Will he and Roxy spend more time together? Will he ever find a home? Will Roxy ever be free from Richard?
I really enjoyed this story! Ghost really is trying to atone for his past sins, as in what is taught in AA/GA. He has no real expectations for himself, just to atone. He really likes Roxy(Imagine, a grandma at 30!) though and can actually imagine a life with her but feels Roxy deserves more than him.
What I loved though is that Ghost and Roxy aren't 20 somethings. He is in his late 40's and she is 38, so they have both been around and experienced life.

Ghost has made some bad decisions in his life and the latest ones could cost him his life as well as his heart and bring up one the mistakes he made at a young age. He’s gone to the Serpents MC in Las Vegas to set up a deal to help him repay his debt with his current MC, but the bar tender at Ecstasy, the Serpent’s strip club has him wanting to stick around longer than he planned when he first showed up in Las Vegas.
Roxy tends bar for the Serpents’ strip club and has put her wild days behind her where she goes for the bad boy bikers, however when the sexy stranger comes in looking for the president of the Serpents MC, she has a hard time saying no to him. A little time outside at his bike will scratch her itch.
Roxy and Ghost have some painful secrets from their pasts and are both trying to find their way to absolution and being the person that can lead a life on the right side of morality. When they find that they can’t stay away from each other, their lives head down a path of danger and there’s only one person that can save them. While that person cares for Roxy, he has no good feelings towards Ghost, and it could be a high price to pay for Ghost. I enjoyed this story and found the characters to be tough, unrelenting, and lethal. Ghost has a lot to make up for and he’s willing to put in the effort to right his past mistakes, but will he get the chance to do it? I give this book a 4-star review.

A fabulous addition to Barbara's Serpent's MC Las Vegas series!!
Barbara's Serpent's MC Las Vegas series is one of my favorites, and Ghost and Roxy have now become my favorite couple from the series.
Ghost and Roxy have both experienced the hard knocks in life and are just wanting to settle down and live a peaceful existence. Of course, life and circumstances have other plans for them, and when their paths cross and danger comes to them both, it's an unlikely person from Ghost's past that can help turn things around.
Beyond Absolution is filled with twists, turns and plenty of heat, and emotion. Ghost and Roxy are a "seasoned" couple that I couldn't help but relate to in their need to settle and live a quiet existence.
Barbara writes a story that draws you in and keeps you engaged until the end, and gives the reader characters that you want to know and cheer on. It's like you're experiencing it right along side the characters.

A long road to absolution, amends, acceptance, new beginnings, all good things

Roxy and Ghost are just about as perfect as a couple can get. With abundant similarities, these two find comfort, peace and a little bit of grace as they spend time together. Their baggage is heavy and they lighten the load for each other, but it’s hard to trust something good since good never seems to find them or stay for long.
Overall, despite constant wavering, Ghost is determined to be as good for Roxy as she is for him. The outlaw world has other nefarious plans, but nothing gets in Ghost and Roxy’s way for their long time coming, highly priced dues HEA.

I loved Roxy and Ghost's story. It's a page turner with an interesting storyline and likeable but imperfect characters. Bartender Roxy and MC nomad Ghost each have regrets for mistakes they made in the past and each is trying to make a better life for themselves in the present. Ghost is just the sort of dangerous man that Roxy has vowed to stay away from but she is drawn to him; and as much as Ghost is drawn to her, in his mind he is unworthy. I really cared about these characters who are so deserving of happiness with each other but Ghost has a lot of unfinished business to take care of that could make that impossible and maybe even endanger Roxy. This engrossing and emotional story is a great addition to the Serpents MC Las Vegas series.

This is the ninth book in this fascinating series and is Ghost and Roxy’s journey. Ghost is a broody nomad whose past in coming back to haunt him, and he strikes a deal with the Serpents MC. Roxy is a bartender at the Serpents strip club and she has put her wild days behind her. Roxy is drawn to Ghost when he is sitting at her bar, and they spend a steamy night together, with Roxy not expecting to see him again, but Ghost is staying around longer than expected. Roxy also has a past which is coming back to haunt her. This is a well written story which has danger, twists, intrigue, absolution, secrets, action, suspense, and love, which leads to a steamy and riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more form this talented author whose work I always highly recommend.

While I enjoyed this story, I couldn’t get excited about it like I did the others in this series. This won’t stop me from reading the others in this series. The plot was great especially with the “older” characters. The storyline flowed smoothly for the most part. I felt the characters stayed “in their head” way too much and there wasn’t as much grit and drama as the others. I did love that these two were more responsible and set in life at the age of 40+ years of age. Now Ms. Nolan did throw a huge surprise in this book. One I wasn’t expecting. The ending just kind of dropped off and left me disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad they got their HEA. It’s like Ms. Nolan just stopped.

Beyond Absolution is the first book by Barbara Nolan that I have read and I can definitely say that I am now a fan! Even though this is book nine in the Serpents MC Las Vegas series, it can definitely be read as a standalone and I am going to check out the rest of the series.
I really enjoyed both Ghost and Roxy. They are both mature characters and have both had a hard life filled with struggles and bad decisions, but now are coming out on the other side and are working on righting some past mistakes. First, however, there are a few obstacles and enemies to deal with before they can move on.

Another Serpents MC story that'll grab hold of you from start to finish. Roxy and Ghost have had their share of things in life that haven't been so easy. There is a lot of twists and turns in this one. Plus there's a big revelation that comes at you out of left field, totally catching you off. Given that I have read Python's story prior to this one, it really makes everything in this one come at you in a different perspective, putting things together in a way that totally makes sense and in an unexpected way. I really liked how it all comes together and how the storyline weaved together the past with the present. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. It's an excellent book.

Ghost and Roxy both have a ton of baggage but they just click. Ghost is in Vegas to make a deal, Roxy is a bartender who’s sworn off bad boys to take care of her granddaughter but together they are dynamite. They are great together and each provides what the other needs. They are not kids and have a lot of back history and danger is knocking as well as secrets from the past. Great read with grown up characters that are far from perfect but are perfect together.

I was pulled into this story from the beginning. Roxy and Ghost heated up the pages almost immediately. I loved Roxy and her love for her granddaughter. She wanted to do all the right things to keep her safe. Ghost was used to doing things on his own, even put himself in between dangerous men, but Roxy had him rethinking his situation. The Serpents did right by both, despite the danger and distrust. One wicked ride ended up with an HEA for Roxy and Ghost. I highly recommend this story.

Oh man…what a terrific read! This book has a kick ass storyline; super hot characters; exciting twists and turns; and one helluva HEA! Man oh man, I’d give just about anything to have a ‘Ghost’ in my bed…♥️ You need to grab a copy of this book today. It will definitely get your heart pumping and your blood boiling! What a fabulous read! Roxy is a bartender at Ecstasy, the Serpents MC strip club, and the men may be hot, but she has no interest in the bikers. That is until Ghost sits down at the bar and gives her a reason to change her mind. I absolutely loved Ghost and Roxy and they fit perfectly together. This book was so good and it’s filled with action, twists, drama, secrets, and lots of steam. Highly recommend!

I love, love, loved Ghost and Roxy's story. Actually I loved the entire gang of Serpents MC. Ghost and Roxy have lots of demons in their closets but, in that darkness, they found each other. Steamy, beautiful, drama, danger, secrets, twists I fight we coming and forgiveness. The more books I read from Barbara, the more I fall in love with her writing.

Ghost's story struck me in several ways. He's a washed up nomad who has burned so many bridges in his past. Coming face to face with his greatest failure, he not only has to face his past, but try and salvage a future with Roxy. I enjoyed this book. The characters are gritty and real. Roxy's story arc was heartbreaking. Good read.

Redemption at its best!
This is such a great story! The characters pull you in right at the beginning. They ate relatable and easy to root for. It's a great story for overcoming your fears, establishing relationships and learning to love and be loved. Plus all the Serpents make this story a page turner. You won't be disappointed!

Ghost
I always LOVE spending time with the Serpents.
This journey goes deep into the past for some - secrets and buried history comes to light. There are a lot of twists and the story is definitely a nail biter.
Once you start you won’t be able to put it down!

Beyond absolution/Ghost Mc Las Vegas book 10
Ghost and Roxy have been involved in abusive and dead end relationships. Ghost finally wants to get a relationship with son. Roxy is afraid to trust Ghost, due his past unjustified life decisions. I enjoyed reading about the previous characters in this series.

Beyond Absolution by Barbara Nolan is her latest book in the Serpents MC series, and truly one that pulled at my heart strings. I found it to be one of the most intriguing as well, with all the twists and turns that occurred. The two main characters, Ghost and Roxy, have seen a lot in life, some good - some bad. They're old enough to know when they've found the real thing. However, if they're to ever have a HEA, they need to get through a path littered with deceit, cons, distrust, and a secret that Ghost has carried for years. Knowing that it's time to come clean, Ghost wonders what the ramifications will be once he does. After the Serpents' help and the dust settles, Ghost knows he has no reason to remain in Las Vegas and has to make a decision. Will the open road pull him back out? Like the Serpents Ghost's an outlaw biker, however, he's a nomad. A biker without a club, someone who doesn't settle anywhere for very long.
