This collection of single issue Ms. Marvel stories gives her some good foils and fun stories. We get Loki at a high school dance, which goes about as well as you would expect. We get a time-jumping story that lets Kamala appreciate Captain Marvel from a different perspective. And we get a goofy story that throws Kamala and her friends into... video games? It makes basically no sense, but it's still a fun read. That's true about all three of the main stories - no high stakes; no galactic disasters, just Kamala being herself in ways that show off her character (although the first story seems more focused on Loki than Ms. Marvel - but it still pays off for both, so that's not much of a strike against it). The variety of art styles and story styles highlight how versatile the characters in Ms. Marvel's neck of the woods can be.

Review: Ms Marvel is such a great coming of age story. I loved the video game one! So good! And the interactions with unlikely characters were a fun twist.

Considering this is packaged as an introduction to the character via a handful of disconnected issues - not all from the Ms. Marvel title and with quite a bit of variety in art styles - this was actually quite consistently fun.

This Ms. Marvel mash-up contains issues from several different books and cross-overs. It's a good intro to the world of Ms. Marvel if you're trying to figure out where to start or what books you might be interested in reading. I enjoyed it and recommend it!

I'm not sure I understand completely what this collection is or how it was chosen, but for me it was a nice introduction to the character.
