Everyone always says the best way to get over someone is to get under somebody else. Well, I guess I’ve never been one to believe it. Cheated on by my football-star boyfriend and betrayed by my closest friend, I’m not looking for yet another chance to get hurt.

Kye Collins isn’t just a guy. He’s the guy. A star on a D1 football team. The owner of a panty-melting smile and abs that’ll have you fanning yourself and tingling in places you shouldn’t. Oh … and he’s my brother’s best friend.

When he convinces me to hang out with him, I warily take him up on his offer. After all, as long as I keep my guard up, I won’t get hurt. Besides, a friendship between a male and a female can work, right?

What starts off as an innocent alliance becomes dicey when he suggests we fake date. It seems like a good plan. A solid scheme to help him get his mom off his back while also making my ex mad. If I can hurt the guy who caused me pain and make the mean girls at school jealous, that’s a double win. Plus, hanging out with Kye Collins is fun.

One kiss—that’s all it takes. A kiss only meant for the eyes of those who hurt me. A kiss that’s supposed to be a big F you to those devils lurking in the shadows, watching my every move. But that same kiss makes me come alive in a way I never have. Makes it impossible for me to ignore that feelings I have whenever he is around. And it forever changes the relationship between Kye and me.

Sometimes, tragedies bring people closer together, but in our case, it pulls us apart. But when Kye runs, I’m not far behind, ready to catch him.

This is the third and final book in the Florida East University series. This is Kye's book.

Hannah Gray spends her days in vacationland, living in a small, quaint town on the coast of Maine. She is an avid reader of contemporary romance and is always in competition with herself to read more books every year.

During the day, she loves on her three perfect-to-her daughters and tries to be the best mom she can be. But once she tucks them in at night--okay, scratch that. Once they fall asleep next to her in her bed--because their bedrooms apparently have monsters in them--she dives into her own fantasy world, staying awake well into the late-night hours, typing away stories about her characters. As much as she loves being a wife and mom--and she certainly does love it--reading and writing are her outlet, giving her a place to travel far away while still physically being with her family.

She married her better half in 2013, and he's been putting up with her craziness every day since. As her anchor, he's her one constant in this insane, forever-changing world.

I always love reading books by this author, especially with all the emotions she's able to convey, and the chemistry her characters have are always have the charts. That's nothing new here with this book, and from that heartbreaking prologue, I just new this was going to be such an amazing book. And it really was!! Plus this was a brothers best friend romance, so you know I was all over it!

Winter and Kye are just so meant to be, and their connection just leaps off the page. Kye tries to play off his playboy facade, but there's so much more him than that. He's such a good guy with a butload of baggage, but who doesn't have some of that dragging us down? His relationship with Winter, and the way he yearned for her really tugged on my heartstrings. I loved how open and vulnerable they were with one another, and they had such a good friendship underneath everything else. Plus they both helped each other with what they were both going through time and time again. They were just so good together!!

I really liked this book so much, and I can't wait to see what this author comes up with next!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions **

Winter is done with athletes. Cheated on by her last boyfriend, she doesn't want to have her heart broken by a jock again. Kye is one of her brother's friends, older, already in college and a star on the football team. He would like to spend some time with her and be there for her as a friend. Nothing wrong with that, until he suggests to fake dating. This way she can put her ex in his place and he can keep up appearances with his family with a "nice girl" by his side. What could go wrong? Nothing, until one kiss changes everything.

This book is a smoothly written new adult sports romance. For me, there should have been a little more attention to the sport. The relationship of the two main characters moves quickly. Having only met each other a few times, they are almost friends after spending 1 day together. After that the book goes a bit slow and there is a bit of repetition here and there. Still, I couldn't put the book down, because I was especially curious how the storyline would turn out. The book does not shy away from important subjects and these are important for the rapprochement that both characters seek together. The book may be a bit predictable, but not everything went the way I thought it would. The ending was a bit rushed. The last 5 chapters already read like an epilogue, before the actual epilogue was discussed. This is the first book I have read by this author and I am not disappointed. The book read quickly and the book had more depth and sensitive topics than I expected.

This is book 3 in a series, but it can also be read separately. I haven't read the previous 2 books and that was fine. Although I do think there is some overlap with the previous two books in the same timeline.

Safe.

Winter is trying to heal from the betrayal of her boyfriend and best friend but the last person she expected to be her biggest support system was her brother’s friend Kye. As they spend time together their friendship evolves into something much deeper, and she isn’t about to let him walk out of her life without a fight.

Due to his friendship with Winter’s brother Kye knows that they can only be friends, but it isn’t long before they both want more. If that isn’t enough to deal with there is also his family’s situation which could derail their relationship before it really begins.

The characters are captivating, and the storyline draws you in as they are so supportive of each other as they show they are so much stronger together than apart.

5++ STARS!
5 stars isn't enough for this book...

Kye will have you by the heartstrings in the first pages!! In the previous books I wasn't sure what to think about Kye, but now that I got his story... I LOVE HIM!

Winter may have become my favorite female character, she is so down to earth but still has those doubts like we all do. I loved her instantly. She is the perfect calm to Kye's storm!

This story and the emotions I felt, I can't put fully into words.. Catching Kye is a top read of the year for me.

You get so much from this book... And I couldn't put it down. I didn't want it to end!

You know it is a good book when you have a book hangover!!

Brothers Best Friend

Amazing once again. Hannah has a way with words unlike anyone else. She always has me feeling all my feelings and I couldn’t get enough of that! Winter and Kye’s story was so good and though it touched on some tough topics Hannah handled them with some much grace and compassion. So happy to have gone back to finish this series even if it took me a year!

Slow burn

I really enjoyed this slow burn. The fact he really tried to keep things from crossing the line until he couldn't hold back anymore was sweet.

Did I sit here reading the last 20% of this book with tears running down my face? Yes, yes I did.

Tropes:
Friends to lovers
Brother's best friend / best friend's sister
Fake dating
Hurt/comfort
Football / sports romance
Parental death / addiction

I knew I was going to love this book, but I also knew it was going to hurt. I think I pushed it off for a bit because I was afraid of the pain. I read this series after I read the Puck Boys series, so I knew what to expect and I hyped it up so much in my head that I was honestly scared to get to it.
What I didn't expect was for it to be one of my top reads of the year. I guess I should have...honestly, I should just expect every book Hannah writes to either by five or six stars for me.

This follows Kye and Winter.
Winter is Bama's sister (book 2). She's struggling with school and her ex that cheated on her.
Kye is friends with Bama, roommates, and on the same team. Kye has always been attracted to Winter but never did anything about it. He has a lot going on internally, battles he hasn't faced. He doesn't think he's good enough for anyone as more than a good time or friend. His father is an addict and he's dealt with that his entire life along with his mom and sister.
The two of them start out as friend's, Kye helping her with her issues at school and her ex. They agree to fake date for a bit to get her ex off her back and he wants his family to think he's dating her so they will be happy for him and not worry. Hanging out and fake dating brings them much closer, and they fall for one another.

They have a lot to overcome. Bama isn't happy and makes it nearly impossible for them to be together. Kye struggles a lot with his self-worth and goes into a downward spiral. It's heartbreaking to see him go through it.
These two need each other. Kye gives Winter the confidence she needs, and Winter makes Kye see and know how different he is from his father.
Kye is also fun, usually it's more of a happy on the outside and tormented on the inside; but he still comes across as fun. And Winter is a steamy romance writer. I absolutely adored both of these characters.

This is one of those books where I wish it was its own series. I did not want to leave these characters at the end. Either of them.

Most emotional book in this trilogy

A very emotional story. Overcome your past. Forgiving, grieving and healing with the last person you thought you needed to. For me the most emotional book from the author. Got me hooked from page one and brought me a hangover. But the ending was worth every minute suffering with the characters.

…And if I ever thought I knew what it felt like to have a broken heart, I was wrong…

Kye seems like the perfect Florida sunny boy. Football, surfing and girls that throw themselves at him. But deep impregnated in him is his sad and difficult childhood. A past he wants to forget and that influences his decisions toward his life and future.

Winter looks like the perfect Florida girl. She is beautiful, smart and likes cars. But past decisions made her an outcast and left a girl with self insecurities.

…”I trust you more than I’ve ever trusted anyone.”

When they first meet it is attractive at first sight, but being Bama’s younger sister, makes her off limits. But as fate wants, by a car breakdown and coincidence they become friends. Then best friends. and then it gets complicated.

“I call you Snowflake because you are my peace. You chase away the darkness, bringing me back to the light.”

Where on one side it looks like there is more, on the other side suddenly things change. And friends become strangers. Were torn apart. When the past repeats itself. Is their bond strong enough or fragile and can be broken? Can they forgive each other for what happened?

Kye's devastation to do the right thing to everyone was palpable. It threw him off the lane.

Winter was persistent to help and follow her heart.

Another book by Hannah, another fresh round of tears from me. Every time I start a new one by her I think it can’t be as hard hitting again, surely? Wrong. I was so wrong, and I’m gonna have to come to terms with the fact that, for me at least, she hits my emotional abuse buttons every time!

Again, I loved this book. I have a thing for the broken boys, the traumatised, the tortured souls and Kye? He’s a loving soul, the good guy, the protector and the one who would go to battle for you every day of the week - with a heartbreaking past filled with a very difficult childhood. He’s cocky. He’s a little arrogant but in a good way. Hot as hell (did someone say football star AND a surfer? 🥵🫠) And he loves Winter with every single cell in his body.

Winter… Winter is me, I am Winter. I have never connected with a FMC like I did her. She’s an introvert, loves to bake, is a total bookworm. As far from a party girl as it gets and hates big crowds. She’s the biggest self doubter but gives everyone around her support and encouragement to be their best. Is stronger than she realises. She’s a fantastic overthinker giving herself so much anxiety! But she loves hard. She will do anything for those she loves.

I wasn’t expecting Kye’s story to be this hard and emotional but wow was it great. I couldn’t put it down! Even with my husband watching funny videos next to me, my dog barking, music playing in the background and my 5 year old running around laughing I was fully immersed in this story! Nothing could tear me away! On to the next of Hannah’s series cos I cannot get enough of her work!

loved this book

When I say I was captivated by this story.. I was hooked. To the point that I may have given up sleep this weekend and had to secretly cry into my pillow when we hit a certain scene so I wouldn’t wake up the hubby.

I was itching to get my hands on this especially with the little teasers that we got in Stealing Bama.

Winter has gone through the ringer. She lost her dad too soon and is now being terrorized by her ex boyfriend. She decides to keep it a secret and deal with it herself but she wasn’t expecting Kye.

Her brothers best friend.

Kye is dealing with his own personal issues but once he spends some time with Winter, he can’t deny the connection that is there. He wants to be the one she turns too when things get hard but just as a friend.

They come up with a plan, they are going to fake date in hopes to stop Winter’s bullying and help ease Kye’s moms mind. What starts off as fake, slowly turns into move. Something they just can’t deny.

This book personally put me through the ringer. The journey these two characters went through and the grief that is felt, man did it make me cry.

While it hurt, I have to point out that I love the fact that the “hurt” came a lot earlier in this book. We were able to enjoy an insight to their relationship after and how they continued to help each other strive for their dreams.

This trilogy was amazing and I highly recommend it. Now the countdown is on for her newest trilogy.. can’t WAIT for Cams book.

The moment I began the journey into Catching Kye, I knew this would be the one book that would completely throw my world off kilter and into a tail spin. Gray completely blew my world to pieces with these two beautiful souls. Kye Collins, Florida East University’s Wide Receiver and campus playboy, knows he should stay clear of his best friends sister but a chance encounter brings them together and before they know it they are beginning a friendship that soon will test the boundaries of what he should do and what he wants to do. Will he make his move with the girl he calls Snowflake? Read and find out!
This book right here was my favorite out of the series, it stole my heart from beginning to end. The pure chemistry of these two characters without a doubt was the spark that ignited the flame throughout the entire book. You have a way with words Hannah and thank you for putting them on pages for all to read 😉. This whole series needs to be read but hold on to your heartstrings with this one.

Set during the same time period as the first two books of the series, telling Kye and Winter’s love story.
Winter is still dealing with the sudden death of her father two years ago, add moving to a new town and school, gaining a boyfriend who cheats on her with her new best friend, being blackmailed by said ex and becoming the school pariah; she’s counting the days until school is over.
Kye has his own demons and he’s told no one about them, his school family is all he needs, his real family is just too hard to bare. He’s watched Winter from afar but a stroke of serendipity puts them together and he decides she needs him, as a friend - nothing more - his life can’t tarnish or break her if he’s just her friend. But good intentions often make for tough situations and their friendship certainly leads to tough times.
Along the way Kye’s life implodes while Winter’s has become good, for a short time anyway.
A very emotional ride, with happy moments that temper the terrible losses. Full of sweetness from “a player” and a time of growth for a bookworm. It hit hard with the feels, showing the effects alcoholism and drugs can have on families and individuals.
A great cast of characters and a realism that holds you captive. A slowish burn with lots of flirting leading to hot and steamy and a wonderful HEA.
This series has made Hannah Grey one of my favourite authors.

Catching Kye is the final book in the Florida East University series. I read this book last year when it came out and it really stuck with me. In it, we get the story of Kye and Winter. Kye is one of the stars of the Florida East University series and best friend’s with Beau Bishop (check out his story in Stealing Bama). He’s also got some family issues that he’s dealing with. Winter is Beau’s sister. Winter is done with boys. She was cheated on by her jock boyfriend and doesn’t want to deal with anymore heartbreak, especially from another athlete. Enter Kye. She doesn’t expect to find support and friendship in her older brother’s best friend, but she does. Winter is a senior in high school still and is being bullied by her ex-best friend and ex-boyfriend. Kye comes up with a plan for them to fake date to ward off the bullies. Fake dating soon turns to real feelings, but will Kye risk his friendship with both Beau and Winter for a relationship with Winter?

I absolutely adored these two together. I loved that they started out by building a solid friendship before falling in love. Winter never expected for Kye to come into her life and become her best friend, but I think he was just what she needed and he was just what she needed. They were perfect together. This book had a mix of some of my favorite tropes—brother’s best friend, fake dating, friends to lovers, and sports romance. A great end to a great series.

Another amazing book in this series!!! This one is a bit of a slower burn as it is a friends to lovers romance but between the flirting, emotional growth between them, the palpable attraction and chemistry…it just all built up so perfectly!!!

Friends to Lovers
Brother’s Best Friend
Fake Dating
Surfing
Broken Boy

Hannah always knows how to grab at your heart with the emotion and real life topics she puts into her stories!!! This one was no different and each main character had a little bit of brokenness to them. First Kye had so much depth to him that I was not expecting! He had a rough childhood which affects his view on relationships. Then there is Winter who we met before as she is the sister of Bama from book. In that book you learn she lost her father in drag race but not only that, her ex-boyfriend was quite a jerk to her and left her with threats and emotional damage from that relationship. This is a story about two people who didn’t know each other much but after a chance meeting became friends and realize they can be there for each other while their connection just grows from there!!! Also, Hannah once again shocked me with another twist in this book as well!!

Thomas Oakley and Elizabeth Hart truly do an incredible job narrating this series!! Their voices mesh together so well and they bring all the emotion and passion of the story to life with their voices!! Not to mention, Elizabeth has a male voice that sounds like another person which just made the female POV even more enjoyable! I truly could listen to the both of them all day long!!

It’s no secret that I stan every single thing Hannah does. This is definitely my favorite series of hers and she really ended it with a bang. Kye is perfection and Winter is such an amazing FMC.

Winter’s brother Beau has made it very clear to his best friend Kye that he can never have anything past a friendship with her. Kye is captivated by her from day one, so he makes the promise to his teammate and decides that he wants Winter any way that he can have her. At first, things are going just fine. But when they both find a fake relationship to be mutually beneficial, it becomes harder and harder to ignore the feelings they have for one another.

As most of Hannah’s books do, this book explores some very heavy, real life themes. The main characters really lean on each other to get through and it brings them closer together. I absolutely love how realistic and believable the relationship between Kye and Winter was. They had me fully committed to lying to Beau to keep their secret…and I thought I’d sing like a canary if that boy asked me to. 🤣🤣🤣

I already miss the Florida East University boys, but I know we will probably get some cameos in Hannah’s upcoming Puck Boys of Brooks University series! Thanks to Wordsmith Publicity for providing me with an ARC for review!

When I read DANE the first book in the series, it was clear that the next story had to be BAMA. But how surprised was I to like KYE from the first pages, more than Bama? I must admit that it seemed a little beige to me in the previous volumes. OMG I'm completely wrong.

That's a big 5 star for Catching Kye. This book is on its way to my personal library.

I loved this book from the first sentence and it is without a doubt my favorite book in the series. The fluidity of the story mixed with the events of the first volumes, which only adds a feeling of belonging to the characters, make me love this book even more.
I really liked the atypical portrait of Kye's parents. Usually the junky is drawn as an asshole we hate. Here Kye's father tries to fight his demons as best he can, with hindsight the couple formed by Kye's parents shows a clumsy but genuine love.

As for the love Winter and Kye have for each other, it's more than true. This love grew up with them and with the wisdom of Winter, the dark phases of their history managed to be overcome.
The last chapters brought me to tears more than once and I can't help but feel that Winter's words and wisdom are an integral part of the author and in truth I tell you that: even though I don't personally know Hannah Grey, I feel like there's a lot of her in this book. It makes me love her even more. Thanks for this book.

45 procent.

This book is the perfect example of why I love Hannah's stories so much. Friends to lovers isn't my favorite trope, but I am seriously in love with Kye and Winter's story and in total awe of Hannah's storytelling!

Kye is such a complicated character, playboy on the outside, fighting demons alone on the inside. He's drawn to Winter, but knows it can't go anywhere because Bama is his best friend and knows he wouldn't approve, so friendship it is.

Winter is fighting her own battles alone and pegs Kye as just another jock who wants in her pants, but she needs a friend and takes Kye up on his offer of friendship. She too, values her relationship with her brother too much to cross the line with Kye.

The character development, growth and chemistry is nothing short of perfection. This is a super slow burn and the bangxiety is real! They get each other and pull one another from the darkness. I feel like I know Kye and Winter soul-deep and I can't get enough! AND...thank you Hannah for a look at their lives down the road, love that the book doesn't stop right after their HEA!

Oh my goodness! Catching Kye by Hannah Gray is pure perfection. It's an epic romance that starts off as friendship and develops into THE romance of all time. A friends to lovers, brother's best friend, college sports romance that takes hold of you and drags you through an emotional rollercoaster that will tear you up inside. The realities of loving an alcoholic/druggie and suffering from loss grips you to your soul. The rawness of loving someone that you can't have because of loyalty is heartbreaking.

Hannah has written such an emotional and beautiful world in all her series that sucks you right into their world and you feel like your part of this group of misfits that all become family. To find a family that we choose to have. To feel the connection, loyalty and love not because you are born to it, but you choose to be in it... that is my wish.

Reading Hannah's stories give me that feeling every time I open one of her books. I feel like I'm coming home every single time. That is a sign of great storytelling.

Hannah Gray is one of my favorite authors and her new book does not disappoint! In this 3rd boom of the East Florida U series we get Kyes story. We’ve met Kye in the other books in the series (but don’t worry if you haven’t read the others..this can be a standalone) and I’ve been curious about this football surfer boy. Kye has a lot of layers (and a dirty mouth) and he finds a unique chemistry with best friend/teammate/roommates sister, Winter. Winter is about to graduate high school and is fresh off a terrible relationship and needs a friend. Kye is there for her and they forge a beautiful friendship. But deep down they both realize they are crossing boundaries but how will her brother react. And when hard times come can they be together? This book has some really emotional moments, some super sweet moments and some hot and spicy moments. I loved the cameos of characters from her other books. Hannah has a great writing style. Definitely recommend this book and her backlist if you haven’t read them! Also, super psyched to get Cams story next!

Dual POV. Brothers best friend. Sports romance. Friends to lovers.

If you have read the other standalone books on this series, you know Winter as Bama’s little sister and Kye as Bama’s best friend. The beginning of this book was so sad and something I did not expect from Kye’s life. After a horrible break up with her ex and betrayal from her best friend, Winter finds support from Kye and the two hit it off as friends fairly quickly. Kye knows she is his best friends little sister and tries to find his emotions for her. But Winter isn’t going to let him go easily. Winter is Kye’s snowflake, his peace. This book will pull on your heart strings so buckle up for the ride! I love that each of the stand alones have that ‘real life’ problems in it. You don’t see many books have something similar to Kye’s life like in this one. I absolutely love the characters stories and how Hannah (the author) pulls you in with each character. I loved Stealing Bama but I may love this book more. I am so excited for Cam’s story to come out next.

Got to Love Kye and Winter!

RATING : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
SPICE: 🔥🔥🔥

I love this book! I’m a huge fan of Hannah’s writing (and when I say huge, I mean I will follow her anywhere and own everything she has written) but there is something about Kye and Winter that has me in a chokehold.

This isn’t my first or even second time reading this book, but their story just lives rent free in my head.

I love that this isn’t just about love and spiciness, but also about forgiveness and showing up for someone you love when they are at their lowest. Winter and Kye are made for each other, and even though they started off as friends, the chemistry and heat between them was easy to see from the beginning. I love these Florida East boys, but Kye will forever be my favorite!

If you like friends to lovers, fake dating. Brother’s best friend and a little side of emotional gut wrenching, then you need to read this one! It’s well paced, heartfelt and absolutely a captivating story from beginning to end. I laughed, I cried and I fell in love with Winter and Kye.

Kye & Winter

Kye is a college football player and Winter is his best friend and teammate sister, who's also senior in highschool.

They meet thru Bama, Winter's brother and Kye decides they are going to be friends, knowing Bama has declared his sister off limits.

Bama is dealing with his own issues (his story is told in a separate book in the series), so even though his name comes up a lot and he pops up every now and then, he's not constantly meddling in the friendship between Kye and Winter.

I like how it all starts with them being friends first and getting to know and trust each other as friends, even knowing there was a little bit of lust involved. Winter needs a friend and Kye is able to be that for her. Kye needs someone to share a part of himself that no one gets to see, and Winter is that for him.

Overall it was a good story, but it wasn't memorable. I enjoyed it while reading it but now, less than a week later, I'm having a hard time remembering details.

I can say that out of the 3 books in the series, this was the best one.

Loved, loved, LOVED this book! Catching Kye was everything you want in a romance. A hot, swoon worthy, broken hero mixed with an incredible love story. I couldn't put it down and loved every second of reading it. This was actually my first Hannah Gray book and I picked it solely for the cover, because that cover is gorgeous! I'm so glad I took a chance on it because I loved the characters so much. Kye is now one of my top book boyfriends. Winter was great too. I admired her determination and drive to succeed. Together they were dynamite. They just fit and belonged together. The angst and heartbreak felt very real and raw. Like I was going through the emotions with the characters. It was so well written that you just get pulled into the story and forget your reading. I'm definitely going back and reading the first two in the series because I don't want to leave this world that Hannah has created. Such a fabulous book and I very highly recommend Catching Kye!!!

4.25 - 4.5 Snowflake Stars! ❄💙

Having read Playing Dane and Stealing Bama i couldn't wait for more from this author and series! Ever since this third installment was announced i've been excited for it! I picked it up as soon as i could and got right back into the Florida East University world. I really enjoyed this story so much!

Winter and Kye's journey pulled my heart and i in quickly! Winter is going through a breakup that's been rough on her. Kye, her brother's best friend wants to lift her spirits. As they begin fake dating, attraction blossoms between them. Will they open their hearts to one another? or is it too risky?

Both Winter and Kye had my undivided attention and got into my heart so fast! I really liked the way these two were brought closer together. I didn't know how they'd tackle things they were dealing with in their lives or the feelings they had for each other which had me even more glued to them. I was so glad that i got to dig deeper with these two. Their connection and chemistry was undeniable.

The story touched on things i don't see often and the realness of it all truly got to me. It was awesome being back in the Florida East University world and getting to reunite with familiar faces as well!

With Catching Kye, Ms.Gray has created such a great read with such depth and feels that got me right in the chest! I escape into the worlds she creates every time and her characters are sure to stay on my mind long after i reach the end. This has been such a wonderful series! Definitely jump into the Florida East University books if you haven't already! 💙

This whole series is top tier but this.. as a child of someone who struggles with addiction.. THIS almost broke me! I truly felt every ounce of pain that Kye was battling and the whole section of the story when stuff was really hitting the fan for him, I was in shambles!

Kye and Winter’s story was truly about falling apart and being loved back together. Both of them suffered so much with their father’s, navigating being open enough to let healing in, and their friendship blossomed so effortlessly. I lived that Kye just wanted to be there for Winter when she was in a bad and lonely spot. He helped her regain her confidence and she loved him through one of the darkest times in his life. They mended each other si beautifully without ever having a codependent vibe and I could not get enough!

I highly recommend this entire series for anyone who loves sports romance with a lot of self discovery and healing through trauma. It’s very relatable, makes you feel, but it’s also fun and spicy!

🖤Review💙

5/5⭐️

I’ve read this book probably 5 times and it was all before I started doing reviews and a bookstagram.

I just finished another reread so I’m finally making a review.

This is the book that started my obsession with Hannah🙃

I absolutely love Kye to pieces.

He falls HARD for his best friend’s little sister!

Winter’s ex is trash and she is dealing with a lot of backlash from that.

At first Kye just wants to be her friend but after spending so much time together and then both opening up about things they both start falling…

Kye’s dad is an addict and he’s not close to him. But he gives him another chance which ends up totally breaking his heart..

Kye pushes everyone away, but Winter won’t let him do it to her..

They both want to be together but they need to talk to her brother…

—————————

“I love you, Snowflake,” he barely mutters. “Say you’re mine.”

“I’m yours,” she whimpers, looking so beautiful as I bury myself inside of her. “I love you.”

My favorite couple in this series!

Kye and Winter may be forbidden to date, but their relationship begins as friendship and these two are just fun with a whole lot of flirty added in. That is until they cross that thin line of friends into lovers, but even then their steam is infectious, even with the secret aspect tossed in. However, their story isn't all hearts and laughs, there is an underlying darkness that, probably because the initial story is so light and fun, carries a heavy weight and really broke my heart when it hit.

Kye is funny, a total jokester filled with sassy comebacks and a ton of innuendo. He befriends his best friends younger sister, Winter, after her boyfriend cheats on her with her best friend. Kye is feeling a little left out himself as Dane and Bama are dealing with their own issues, so stepping up to befriend Winter isn't totally selfless, but he also hates to see her struggling and completely heartbroken over losing so much. It doesn't hurt that he's insanely attracted to her as well, but he also knows Bama would murder him if he crossed a line, so friends it is while Winter gets her groove back. He just never expected that he'd need her as much as she needed him.

The ending was spectacular and it was absolutely the perfect way to close out the series for these three friends.

“Girls like her are meant to save guys like me. Too bad our story can’t be like that.”- Kye

I knew when I read book one (Playing Dane) in Florida East University series that Kye was a favorite of mine, then in book two (Stealing Bama) I feel even more in love with Kye! Don’t get me wrong Dane and Beau were amazing, but there was something about Kye. And boy oh boy was I right, Hannah Gray delivered Kye on a gold platter and he has a special place in my heart💙!

In the third book of FEU series we follow Kye and Winters story, and I loved it so much 🥰. It does cover a sensitive topic (addiction) and I wasn’t prepared for how emotional it made me (so make sure to grab some tissues🤧). We see such a different side to Kye and I couldn’t have asked for anymore better!

If you haven’t read any books in the FEU series (I would start with Playing Dane , just to be familiar with characters) or any books by Hannah Gray, I highly recommend that you do!

“He might be the campus playboy, but he’s still my friend. But now, I just need to remind myself not to fall in love with him. Why does that seem like it might be hard to do?”-Winter

* I received an ARC from the author, and this is my honest review.

**This book is Dual POV and is written in first person perspective.
