I'd Rather Chug Eggnog Than Kiss You

Rate this book
When Mr. Health Nut waltzes back into her life, he reminds her of the painful loss that made her shun healthy habits—and makes her wish he’d go back to the nuthouse he emerged from.

Courtney has a strong distaste for health food. Her mother lived a strict, health-conscious lifestyle so much so that her preference for smoothies left Courtney with a taste aversion and a gag reflex. After her mother’s death, Courtney takes unhealthy eating to a new level by drinking and partying.

Then one night, Jamison saves her.

His piercing eyes leave an impression Courtney can’t forget, or rather wishes she could.

Several years later, Jamison runs into Courtney after she agrees to run for a charity 5K race. Despite her junk-food addiction, Jamison says he can help her get into shape, but Courtney wants nothing to do with Judgmental Jamie. He saved her once; she won’t let him interfere with her life again. She’s determined to keep her walls up and his smoothies away.

Courtney would rather chug eggnog than kiss Jamison Garner and let him into her heart.

I’d Rather Chug Eggnog Than Kiss You is a second chance, small-town, sweet Christmas romance in the Reindeer Run series, which can be read in any order! If you like an awkward heroine, an adorable overachiever, and loads of holiday fun, then you’ll love this book by E.E. Everly.

This is book three in The Reindeer Run series and it is Courtney and Jamison’s story. Courtney’s mother was a health conscious person and when she died of cancer it completely derailed and changed Courtney’s focus on life so even though she was taking part in a 5k race with her friends she vowed to never eat healthy food again because after all it didn’t save her mother life. Jamison owns a health shop and he is running in the 5k race with his brothers team but when he tried to help Courtney she is not happy and doesn’t want his help especially as her pain is still raw and she needs to deal with everything but she is finding it difficult and unable to move forward at the moment. Courtney and Jamison are so perfect for each other but because of their past and trust issues will they ever be able to communicate and not constantly let their past take away their future. I have read the previous books in this series and I have enjoyed them all but I have to say that this one is definitely my favourite and it brought out so many emotions and had great characters and storyline and I can’t wait to read more books in this series.

Courtney is running a 5k race with her friends on Christmas Day. Jamison is running for his brother’s team. He shows up to help Courtney with her running program. Courtney drinks during the month of December since it is the month of her mother’s death from cancer. Jamison helped her years ago when she was drunk. She has issues with healthy eating and lifestyle. Her mother practiced both but still died from cancer. Jamison has a health food shop. Jamison is taking care of her. He loves her. But Courtney is dealing with a lot of pain from her mother’s death. She is afraid to love someone.

Another wonderful book in the Reindeer Run series! I liked Courtney a lot and understood her aversion to anything health-related that she felt was being pushed on her. Jamie was another wonderful person that was really only trying to help her. Unfortunately, Courtney does not see it that way and wants nothing to do with him or his health food store. What will it take to get these two to deal with issues from their pasts and see that they are perfect for each other? I have read and liked all of the books in this series and sincerely hope that the author continues to bring us many more to read and enjoy.

Courtney and Jamison are like oil and water. Her mother, who died of cancer near the holidays, was a total health nut, while Jamison owns a health food store and lives the life, too. Courtney went the total opposite after her mom died and Jamison helped her but now they are sparring again with each other, prepping for a 5K race.
The characters have great personalities, determination and things haunting them. The storyline has drama, great banter, twists, revelations, negotiations, big decisions and some steam. Loved their chemistry, the friends and how they both end up helping the other grow. Terrific ending. This one will stick with you.

This is the 4th book I've read written by E.E. Everly; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is part of the Reindeer Run Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Courtney & Jamison; her mother was a health nut consistently forcing her to eat healthy, after her mother’s death she becomes a junk-food addict until he saves her one night. Now several years later she’s agrees to run a 5K charity race and he’s going to help her with her food addition.

I'd Rather Chug Eggnog Than Kiss You is a story you will want to settle in and spend the afternoon getting lost in as you join Courtney in her struggles to prepare for the 5k her and her friends are planning on running, as well her feeling for Jamison and his desire to help.

I love the banter and interactions between Courtney and Jamison, her desire to avoid her past her way and his need to help. As they clash the push and pull brings you deeper into their story make it the perfect escape.

Courtney has become the ultimate junk food …well junkie . It stems from her past life with her health nut mum, after her death she turned to the comfort eating. Her ex Jamison another health freak that saved her from it when she spiralled years ago. She doesn’t want to be saved this time though Thankyou very much , the memories of why she has an aversion too raw . This is a will they won’t they both overcome her barriers and find each other for a second chance at romance

Courtney doesn't like Jamison as he reminds her too much of things she wants to forget. But once he starts to help her with the running challenge and they spend more time together will she change her mind. He also has things from his past that he can't get past either, and she can have a chance to help him fight his demons too.

Healty, No Way! Courtney wants nothing to do with healthy after her mother passes away. When she meets Jamison who is also a health nut. He helped her once, but not again, she wants her junk food. What will Jamison do to help her againg and change her mind? Can oil and water mix or will it fail? You will fall in love with this story.

I had a lot of fun writing this novel. Courtney is a junk-food junkie. I can totally relate. She's awkward and just loves to have fun, too much sometimes. Then when Jamison comes into her life, sometimes she has to trade being carefree for being responsible. We really end up seeing her big heart. This is one of my favorites out of the Reindeer Run series.

I absolutely love this book. Courtney is just so reckless and sloppy and random. I just love the characters and awkward situations and the whole premise. This is just a lot of fun and holiday silliness with a bit of depth because of the traumas. A light read that's sure to make a reader laugh. Definitely a must read!

Such a cute book! I really enjoy these wonderful characters! A nice blending of romance, tragedy and a traumatic life that comes together in the end. This is a stand-alone book, but I think that you're going to want to read the others in the series just because they're such great stories written really well! I definitely recommend these books!
