I have to find a bride. My father’s will is quite either I marry or I forfeit the mafia empire we’ve built. Getting married has never been something I thought was in my future, but now that it’s imperative I find a woman who’ll have me, I suppose I have to get used to the idea. Grudgingly, of course. MINK is fast becoming a favorite go to author. She writes sweet and steamy romances with bad men finding love.
Maddie and Renato meet in a cab after he finds out that in order to inherit his father’s empire he has to marry within a week. When he meets the ditzy Maddie he falls head over heels.
Fast paced story but well written. Spice, action and romance. Can’t wait until the next book.

Some books need to be taken at face value without too much introspective thought. Heir to Love was completely preposterous and far too sweet. The plot itself ridiculous, but enjoyable enough to read!

Renato has to marry per terms of his grandfathers will. He meets Maddie in a cab and is immediately enamored. She loves cats so he makes her a deal she can’t resist. What starts as a business deal quickly turns to more.
Maddie is smidge naive but so so sweet! Renato slightly takes advantage of that but doesn’t allow anyone else to. He’s definitely an OTT (over the top) alpha. Loved their chemistry.

Argumento:
Tengo que encontrar una novia.
La voluntad de mi padre es bastante clara: o me caso o pierdo el imperio mafioso que hemos construido.
Casarme nunca ha sido algo que pensé que estaba en mi futuro, pero ahora que es imperativo encontrar una mujer que me acepte, supongo que debo acostumbrarme a la idea. A regañadientes, por supuesto. No es como si realmente quisiera casarme.
Al menos, ese era el caso hasta que conocí a la luchadora chica de cabello rosado en un taxi compartido en un día lluvioso. Maddie trae un rayo de sol inesperado a mi vida, y me doy cuenta de que tal vez mi padre estaba en algo.
Tal vez casarme no sea una tarea...
Resulta que es exactamente lo que quiero.
Pero mi mundo es uno de oscuridad y violencia, y los finales felices son difíciles de encontrar. Cuando me quiten a Maddie, la recuperaré por cualquier medio necesario y haré llover el infierno sobre todos los que se atrevan a hacerle daño.
Mí humilde opinión:
Heir to love es una lectura fácil y entretenida. Exagerada, picante, dulce, con acción y peligro, drama mafioso y la cuota perfecta de gatitos. Sí, los amigos peludos nunca faltan en los libros de MINK.
La historia se mantuvo interesante para mantenerme leyendo. Habla un aire mafioso, la autora puso algo de violencia y peligro alrededor de la loca historia de amor porque... qué chica en su sano juicio acepta casarse por conveniencia si le prometen regalarle un gatito? Y con un desconocido con quien compartió un taxi en medio de la lluvia? Maddie, la protagonista, que no se llevó solo uno a su nueva mansión sino cinco gatitos!
Maddie era la típica heroína que suele presentar MINK, curvilínea, despistada, todo amor de buena y deja claro su devoción por los gatos. Por alguna razón, a pesar de su exagerada inocencia, me terminó agradando este caos caminante de cabello rosa. Me conquistó cuando le enseña modales a Oscar.
Renato fue un encanto de hombre, con Maddie era un alfa posesivo, todas las dulces palabras para su reina pero soltaba el infierno con los que se metían con su familia.
Los personajes secundarios también me gustaron, acompañaron bien a los protagonistas. Habrá historia de Claudio, el hermano de Renato?
Hay un HEA satisfactorio y un epilogo que deja más sonrisas.
La verdad no venía leyendo nada de esta autora porque no me gustaron sus últimos libros pero me alegra haber agarrado este de mí mesita de luz para darle una oportunidad.

As always, very cute. One thing I appreciate about MINK's work is their ability to write a precious bean of a character without making them obnoxious moral grandstanders. As you would expect, this one is off the wall and has some genuine moments you'll chuckle or snort out loud.

This was so cute!! The heroine is a flighty, slightly ditzy hot mess with a sweet soul and kind heart. The hero is driven, dark and hard as steel but all it takes is one messy little lady and he’s melting.
Loved every second of this one!!!! The perfect amount of sweet n steam, two contrasting characters making the perfect balance to another.
Hero’s past isn’t mentioned, heroine is a virgin and belongs only to the hero. Slight OW (hero’s step mother wants to get his attention; he doesn’t give it ) no OM. No others, cheating or abuse. There are scenes of violence as hero goes to war. HEA with epilogue

Renato is the new Don of the Carloni family, at the reading of his father’s will he finds out he must marry within the week or he will lose everything. Walking to clear his head he hails a cab when the rain starts falling in earnest, he’s surprised when a pink haired pixie jumps in after him to share his cab. He’s stunned speechless by her, Maddie is a hot mess, she’s forgetful, clumsy, and flighty. But has a good heart and a kind spirit. Plus’s she loves kittens. After spending a few hours with Maddie he convinces her to marry him. He takes her back to his home and has his right hand man, Anthony’s wife Payton help her get ready for their wedding. His crazy stepmother tries to stop the wedding, she thinks he should marry her so she can continue reigning as the mafia queen. He wants nothing to do with her. Also interrupting the wedding is a rival family, Oscar thinks he can over throw Renato an take over everything now that the old Don is dead. Oscar makes some veiled threats but finally leaves. Maddie and Renato enjoy their wedding night, very sexy. Drama when Oscar kidnaps Maddie. Renato goes in guns blazing and saves Maddie with the help of Oscar’s abused wife Carla, she poisons his drink. Back home lots of sexy times and I love yous. Epilogue at Maddie’s baby shower.

There’s nothing I don’t love about this author! She ticks every box for me as a reader. Her ability to combine steam filled reads as well as a cute, sweet read is perfection.
Maddie is our female lead, innocent, and endearing her happiness and her tender heart make her likeable. She’s also real as a woman today. There’s mo artifice with her. She’s relatable and that’s what I want with a story.
Renato our leading man is now head of the family or he will be when he finds a bride. Enter Maddie, she’s the breath of fresh air he didn’t know he needed.
It’s so way over the top you can’t help but laugh, but it’s also romance with swoon Worthy melting moments you can’t help but be wistful.
Without a doubt MINK is a go to no blurb needed.
It’s a yes from me.

This was cute.
A little too…fluffy, for me, though.
The plot was simple but kind of fun.
Renato’s father, the head of the ‘family’, left in his will that Renato was to marry by the end of the week after the reading if he wanted to keep his position at the head.
Renato leaves the will reading and gets the into a cab, and Maddie just jumps right in after him, completely changing his world.
It’s cute how he completely falls for her naive, innocent charm, but the rest of it is just kind of meh.
The relationship is pretty wild and Maddie doesn’t question basically anything.
The sex is ok, I mean it’s a little steamy, but I wanted more. I just expect more smut in novellas like this where there’s an insta-love and the plot is sort of lacking, to balance it all out you know?
There should be a trade off.
If the plot is gonna be super simple and more than a little unbelievable, I think we should be rewarded for suspending our disbelief with a heavy dose of smut.
I just didn’t get enough of that unfortunately.
It’s wasn’t bad, I just wanted more from it.

I cannot help myself. I just love kittens, quirky girls and dark men whose hard hearts melt for them. In this fast arranged marriage, the pink-haired girl and the heir to a mafia empire meet in a shared taxi. It's business at first sight, but it actually hides an insta love story that will make you smile, coo, purr, cheer and plain feel good from head to toe.
Renato showers Maddie with sweet gestures, lovely clothes and a quick wedding to meet his father's will. What he doesn't know yet is that she will change his life forever, make him happy, fill his home with kittens and unite his empire under an iron yet fluffy rule. It's so adorable! Loved it.

Todo eso en 24 horas 🤪
Algunas veces me tengo que reír de los insta-love porque son demasiado absurdos, pero peor soy yo que los sigo leyendo. En fin, esta historia me gustó más a comparación de las otras novelas de MINK que he leído

Renato and his little bird! Alllllll the feels! I love when a big strong alpha is brought to his knees by his One. No one does a quirky heroine quite like Mink. I absolutely loved Maddie, she was so refreshing in her childlike innocence. My only complaint was I wanted more.

Loved it!
Mink writes the best short mafia/mob romances. These are my favorite. In this one we have a surprise meet and greet, that turns into a fake marriage proposal, which ends up being real with an OTT Alpha mafia boss! Renato needs to marry due to his late father's will and Maddie loves cats, Lol. It was a great read...4 stars

I almost didn't read this!!!
I have been in and out a book slump for months!! I'm so glad I went with my gut and read this book! I needed this !! OTT Alpha! Sweet and cute as a button heroine! Sold!!! This book kept my interest! Chemistry between the two really sold me. I loved her quirky and loving personality! Some may say she gave in too easily but I say she was there at the right time and place to fall in love. Story line was to the point, no drawn out and unnecessary plot changes. Guy meets girl, guy claims girl, girl accepts and lives like a princess! Chemistry off the rails! Yes yes and yes ! Great book! 5 stars

My mom passed away while I was reading this book, so this was one of those books I didn’t know I needed until I started reading. I ended up skimming the sex scenes towards the end, but that was more due to not being in the mood due to my personal grief.
I wish I could find friends like Maddie IRL, because she was so bubbly, kind hearted, and just cute in general. Renato is an OTT alpha male mafia boss, which I always enjoy reading. I wish I could find friends like Maddie IRL, because she was so bubbly, kind hearted, and just cute in general. Renato is an OTT alpha male mafia boss, which I always enjoy reading. REPRESENTATION Although the author doesn’t come right out and say that our heroine Maddie has ADHD but it’s clear by the way she talks about her thought process and how she tries to focus on one thing but her brain jumps from the next idea to the next. There is something going on far more than her just being “ditzy”
OVERALL THOUGHTS Maddie and Renato are the cutest couple. Renato had one week to find a bride and marry her to solidify his place as the head of the family business. It only took him a couple hours. Their meet cute moment in the cab is adorable and made me giggle.
As soon as Renato tells her the deal, he needs a wife and he wants to employ Maddie, she was sold when he said “You can get a cat,” he offers. “Deal!” I shout before he can change his mind. Like same girlie!
Renato really said some romantic shit and honestly I was swooning giggling and tossing my feet every time.

4.5/5 STARS. Renato is in a cab when an unexpected person hops in his lap named Maddie. She is very talkative and you can feel Renato already in love with her or should I say entranced. Renato is going back home from the reading of his dead dads will and what he has to do to inherit the empire. He has to marry someone in order to inherit it and Renato thinks Maddie is the one for that. No other women have sparked his interest other than Maddie. Maddie is going to pet sit a cat and he decides to help her and he asks her to marry him, he actually already really likes her but he disguises it as a business deal or proposal. She thinks he’s joking but when she finds him not laughing, she’s startled but also kind of freaked out over a hot mafia man asking her to marry him and give her a cat and she agrees instantly but has a lot of questions. When they get married she thinks it’s a business deal but he’s smitten and pussy whipped. Soon she starts feeling the same way and it’s awfully shown because she has no restraint when it comes to him BAHAHAHAHA. One day when Renato is out she goes to the vet for one of her cats starts getting sick and on the ride home her bodyguards are shot dead and she is taken by Oscar, an enemy of her husband. Renato is furious at Oscar and goes with his army and grenades while trying to find his QUEEN. He does and turns out Oscars wife who was abused physically slipped some kind of pill in his drink and he has Maddie with a gun to his head and while he’s turning purple, Renato takes the shot killing Oscar. Claudio is in love with Clara and claims her and I want his story now. When they arrive home Renato claims her and they are both so smitten and steamy when together. In the epilogue she is pregnant and he helps her take the edge off. I’m starting to love this author. I’ve read 2 of her books in 1 day and I’m going to read more as soon as possible.
The smut was chefs kiss. It was kind of a slow burn but it was intense because you could see the heat radiating off the two at first. 4/5 for SMUT BITCHES. IM A WHORE FOR RENATO.

I don't normally go for the Mafia boss trope because in reality how could it ever really end well? No family is gonna stay on top forever, there's rival families, the police and FBI, other people in your group looking to move up and not caring who they stab in the back. It's messy, it doesn't feel safe to me.
So I have no idea why I started reading this one but it just seemed like it would be cute. It didn't look like a dark romance like most Mafia boss stories are. I mean, just look at the cover, nothing about that says, "Dark Romance". It has "Manic pixie dream girl" written all over it.
I won't go into spoiler territory with this. But I will say if you can suspend your disbelief, if you can turn off the part of your brain in charge of rolling your eyes then you can enjoy this one. It's ridiculous, it's preposterous, it's incredibly silly and just a tiny bit stupid and it's so fucking sweet it might make your teeth hurt a little bit. But I say all that in the nicest way. The MMC is utterly devoted and protective and not shy about doing whatever it takes to keep his girl out of harm's way and the FMC is very sweet, innocent and naive. Like I said before, it's overly sweet, extremely silly and a tad stupid but I ate it all up.
Four stars because I can't quite turn off the part of my brain clinging to reality.
