Yu Ze was in a car accident in his original world and ended up being completely paralyzed, the doctors consider him in a vegetative state. While he can still hear what everyone around him is saying, he does not have the ability to respond. So when an AI calling itself System 02 appears in his brain, telling him he can get all functions of his body back, Yu Ze jumps at the chance. System 02 explains to him that he has to pass through several worlds as the cannon fodder who dies early. His mission is to live as these cannon fodders and survive past the original time when they die.

I forgot to write a review for this story when I first read it, but I've reread the first and last arc and generally remember the rest of the book. I quite like the novel - it has pretty interesting, unrelated arcs where the ml seems to have slightly different personalities in every instance. The wrap up explanation is very cursory, but that's understandable in a short novel like this one. I like the slow burn in each story. I'd say that the arcs have a good proportion of plot to romance. Since there's only 4 arcs, it never gets to the point that the Mc gets through arcs purely based on love (unless you count the way he manages to skip the bulk of his points gathering due to the ml).


I don't think there's any big moral or story in this novel. The stories about zombie animals, vampires, mermaids, and ceo are really unique. I think I like the last ceo arc the best.

i love all the arc story in this book..sweet and fluffy with a little bit of angst. MC is a sweet cinnamon,but become fierce if someone try to bully him.in every arc ML not suddenly falling in love with MC,but a long with more interaction he develope a good feeling for MC.the downside of this book is because its a short story every arc only have 13 chapter (only the first arc have 30 chapter),so the ending in every chapter not quite satisfaying for me although its a HE. i need more MC-ML lovey dovey story

Overall, this is really a cute story. The only reason I didn't rate it higher is because I think the endings of each story arc are rushed and the author misses out on character development and overall story arc development potential.

I did see somewhere that the author had revisited the mermaid arc elsewhere and had expanded it, so I'm eager to read that too. Don't let the 3 stars review hold you back from reading this story. The premise and overall story arc are good, it's just that the author misses a few opportunities to make the story go from good to great!
