Will America fall to the Russian bear and the Chinese dragon?
The world holds its breath after Russia and China destroy a city in the United States. How will America respond? Will the weakened Eagle surrender to the Bear and the Dragon, or will she keep fighting back? Is ‘mutually assured destruction’ going to devastate all three countries?

On a remote island in Southeast Alaska, Sierra Forester and Austin Martin join with friends to rebuild their lives following a mega-tsunami that destroyed their small town. But troubles are brewing and conflicts arise as the remaining population of the island attempts to live together in a crucible.

Meanwhile, in China, Mao Wu Ying tries to pick up the broken pieces of his life after suffering a tragic loss. He keeps his eye on the sky, watching for the blazing tail of an incoming American missile. As he considers his future, he faces choices that will determine his eternal fate. Will he return to his old life as a communist atheist, or will he risk everything to follow Jesus?

Destiny

When one country thinks they are better than any other and have them figured out. When egos and pride dominate decision making. No one wins in a battle to destroy one another. God has a plan for us from the day we are born until our death. We as humans decide how we spend that time. Reflect on your lives and see if you will pass the test on judgement day. This series has only proven to me that we are domed if our leaders don't start acting like the wise men that built our country. ONE NATION UNDER GOD.

Excellent read.

Another great addition to the Mystery Babylon series. A brilliant fast page-turner. The ending seemed a little bit rushed. Seeing Christian was lovely and I'm looking forward to seeing how
Wu Ying moves on in his life with his new-found beliefs and I hope he doesn't change. Watching Austin and Sierra has been interesting and I'm sure there are lots still to happen on their front. Nobody won the war. Everybody lost. I wish the leaders of every country could realise that very rarely are there winners in wars, only survivors. Can't wait to start on the next book.

The Eagle

This third installment has wrapped things up nicely. But I know that there are three more books in this series. And I intend to read them all. I need to know what happens next for these characters. What happens next in the world vision of this story? Will it be as close to our current reality as I feel these first three stories are? I sure hope not. Do I recommend this book? Oh yes! Read it. But start with The Bear then read The Dragon. The Eagle is the third book. These should definitely be read in order.

Some good elements.

This is a difficult review. I almost liked the book however: there’s no evidence to suggest Obama, a professed Christian and strong family man is a socialist. Nor is there anything necessarily wrong with socialism as it was practiced by the early church and as it’s practiced by the Christian community in these books. Communism is quite different and has proven a failure everywhere it’s been attempted. Russia and China are more properly single party rule, really a close preface to fascism.

The military aspects of the book are completely inaccurate. Allocation of US forces and NATO are misunderstood and misrepresented. The understanding of modern nuclear weapons is woefully inadequate. There are few defenses against them and fallout is far, far more dangerous than the author portrays.

Today, there are many cities that better fit the description of Babylon ie Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore etc. Now, if the next attempted US coup succeeds and America has a Dictator seeking empire, that might change.

Finally, what I like about the book is the portrayal of individual Christians, how God answers prayers, how the good news is spread and the illustration of Heaven as our destination for when the time for prayers on earth end and then resume in heaven.

Today’s evangelical church often focuses on central charismatic leaders and political influence. These are mistakes that lead to false religious ideals of Dominionism and Christian Nationalism. We do not need kings. We already follow Christ as our King. Beware the temptation to look for and follow earthly kings.

So, the book series has some good elements but I do not not recommend it. If you read it be careful of getting false impressions. The book has good aspects but is highly inaccurate in its understanding of politics, militaries and nuclear weapons and their destructive capabilities.

SURPRISE - SURPRISE

Well, this entire book was one surprise after another. I'm usually able to figure plots but, not this time. As of June 2022 when I read it, I found the timing coincided with world affairs pretty well. One can only hope and pray the real world doesn't continue down the same path. Right up until it happened, and even continuing through it, I did not expect the war to turn out as it did. Several times, concerning both characters and events, I found myself saying, "I didn't see that coming."

Jamie Grey has a wonderful ability to carry much of her stories through dialogue. This is not an easy task but she does it seamlessly. This is the second series of her's I have read. I really need to read another of her series and really study how she does this.

There is also something I really hate about her novels. That is, I hate to put them down. I often read as I go to bed each night. Way too many times I get to a point I think I can stop reading and then make the mistake of letting my eyes wonder over the next few lines. Wrong thing to do because then, way too many times I end up falling asleep while I am still reading thirty minutes to an hour later.

There is lots of suspense. Will America really get nuked or do the Russians and Chinese have calmer heads that prevail? Sierra, a third year nursing student, finds herself way over head and experience level as she must make a decision to try and save the lives of FBI agents who have been seeking to arrest her or save the life of the man who she is becoming more and more interested in and who also is responsible forsaving her life.

Oops, I might've forgot to mention that I finished this book a couple weeks ago *sheepish grin*
RTC

Update: All right! I'm just going to do an over-arching review of the trilogy, so there may be some minor spoilers (I promise to do my best not to give away too much :) )

First off, I just want to say I love Gran in this series! She's quite the spitfire. And Daisy's amazing! I just want to hug her. She's such a good friend! (And she calls Austin 'Dustin' instead of his actual name, and that was so funny XD).

I haven't read a ton of Christian End-Times stories, but this trilogy was a really intriguing premise. The author's take on who Mystery Babylon was, surprised me (and while I don't fully agree, I still enjoyed hearing her make her case.) Also, the author did a good job capturing the different worldviews of each country (Russia, China, and the U.S). It felt like a well-researched story, and all the details made the setting come alive.

That being said I felt like, personally, the whole trilogy could be condensed into one book. Parts of the writing felt dry, and sometimes it dragged a bit (although switching between viewpoints did help to heighten the tension in some areas, which was a really good idea. I just felt like it was done too much, so maybe that's why the story felt strung out.)

Also, I didn't fully connect with Sierra or Austin. Their arcs weren't very believable, and it felt rushed at the end. The only character I was truly rooting for was Wu-Ying (*clutches heart* He needs a hug too, poor man.) Perhaps the reason why I didn't get super invested with a lot of the characters is because there was no definable hero/protagonist of the story. When I first started it, I thought it would be Sierra, or at least the majority of the books would be centered around her; but not really.

On the other hand, I'm very much a character-driven story person, and this was more centered around the plot. So, actually, it's probably just a personal preference sort of thing.

All in all, if you like Christian sci-fi/End Times stories, I think it'd be worth checking out. (Some minor content warnings would be use of swear words and torture, though not super detailed.)

Three whole stars for the entire trilogy!

Thought Provoking

This book goes more into the what if of the nuclear buttons were pushed. This is watch through the eyes of the Russian character. We still see the growth in faith of the Chinese character, but you have to wonder if he will keep his conviction to Christ. You also see the growth of the female character which seemed like she would hold God at arm's length.

Overall interesting, but I had to look up the reference to Babylon in Revelations myself. Between three different copies of Bibles I was able to look at, two said "...mystery: Babylon..." (English Standard) and an NIV had:
"MYSTERY
BABYLON THE GREAT"
More was written after about Babylon in the same list format. The nice thing about these books are they can be enjoyed and used as a warning for many types of dangers. Thank you to the author for writing these books.

This is book three of this series. I can’t wait to listen to each book. The United States, China and Russia are in a terrible mess. They have bombed America! Now what? Every chapter that ended left me wanting to see what happened next. I know I’ve said this with book one and two but this one is emotional and inspiring too. I love Sierra and Austin and seeing how their relationship is developing in these trying times. I highly recommend this series if you like Futuristic Fiction. It’s clean and fast paced. No boring spots in this story.
I received this audiobook from a different narrator and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.

No winners/lots of winners!

If you read this series you'll understand. What happens when the world goes to war? Many winners, as men and women look at what lies ahead.

I only have a few complaints 1) whatever happened to Austin's family...it never says
2) there are a few typos in the series but you can get the meaning
3) I would have loved if The Russian general would have had a near death experience as another character did, his could have displayed the other side. All in all an interesting story.

Book 3 is well written by Jamie Lee Grey.

China, Russia are supposedly working together to cripple and defeat America and its people. Sending nuclear bombs to major cities and destroying Washington D.C. so they can take over. They weren't expecting the US to strike back and destroy their government and major cities. Now there are no super powers as most are destroyed. So many citizens were killed in the bombings and tsunamis afterwards. A part of Alaska has survived with Christians citizens who are making a way from the devastation. What is next for them? We will see.

young adult readers.

At every character ending chapter there was a cliff hanger to go on to the next character over & over in every chapter. I almost stopped reading it because of that. It was frustrating. The plot is ok but much of the story is unrealistic.
Nobody in the whole town or farms had any kind of pain meds not even aspirin or tylenel ? Strange. I will most likely not read the next book unless I get desperate for some to read

Fantastic!

As a Christian fan of post apocalypse novels I cannot put enough praise in this review. She uses her characters not only to share and honor Christ but also throws in some good examples of what you might want to remember if you are someone who is prepping for bad times. Great characters and story line! You won’t be able to put books in this series down. Very well written!

Come Lord Jesus

Jamie has touch off a spark in me to walk closer to the Lord's path. Her description of the end times so easily could happen this way. The way she weaves God's purpose in still extending salvation in chaos the way our Lord works.I love the characters, I feel all of us has known someone like them. I can't wait for more stories. signed Arnold B.

Great BOOKS- disappointing ENDING

This book managed to keep me up at night and delay a few meals until I got to the end which tried to "wrap up" everything in what seemed like just a couple of pages. The series had lots of details so for the conclusion to be so generic and short was a great big bummer! Recommendation-ok

excellent Trilogy Bear, Dragon, Eagle

Very interesting trilogy about how Mystery Babylon could fall in just one day. I enjoyed the behind all the scenes perspectives. Couldn’t stop reading until I finished it all! Second series of this author that I have read one after the other! On to her next series!

Very good!

This was one of those books, that the characters become your family. I haven't had time to read much lately, but it became part of me. It showed what each character went through, in the war. It was so good to read a Christian book, without all the junk in other books. I was glad to see characters grow to trust in God!

Very readable series

Jamie Lee is an amazing wordsmith. I was particularly engrossed with her working knowledge about ICBM's
I had a career in that field, and can attest to the accuracy of her presentation. Keep up the good work.
I enjoy the way she gets the characters into the Kingdom!

Great Book

This series is very well thought out and the storyline is thought provoking. The characters are well developed and believable. Intertwined within the story, in a tactful way, are some very good suggestions on what a person would need to know if they ever found themselves in such a situation. Highly recommend

waiting for the next one

Great at telling a story, have you fumble around a bit on scene changes, but there’s no other way to tell it. Keeping God’s word in our heart is a true gift. After salvation.. it needs to be applied to our hearts, so we’ll that the power of them pull others from the miry clay. Karen

Glad I took the time to read this.

The whole series is worth reading. The characters are interests she moves the story right along. Editing could be tighter but this is a minor point. This lady is a great story teller.

Oh, so very good!

I loved this series. The characters were believable. Strong resemblance to what the world looks like today. You get a good idea on what other people think about our great country and you get a good look at what greed and the lust of power looks like.

Absolutely Wonderful series

I loved having the perspective from those who lived in Countries where Christianity, any religion, was forbidden. And how they changed. Imperfect Christians pulling together in the midst of hardship inspired me....I loved these books.

God is Good

All the time.
I love books that reflect Biblical truths of His character. Grace, mercy, love, forgiveness even when we do not deserve it. These stories are uplifting and encouraging and that is exactly what’s needed today. God is Good!

A great read

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was great to follow Sierra and others on their journey of growth. The story was exciting, but it was also wholesome. I recommend this book for readers who enjoy, clean and wholesome, reading at its best.
