Janine hasn’t always lived a life that’s on the straight and narrow. Meaning, there was a time in her life when she was a lowly sinner and her relationship with Christ was the very last thing on her mind. But that all changes, and before long, Janine becomes a sista after God’s own heart.
But just because she’s beautiful, saved, and fabulous, that doesn’t mean that all is perfect in paradise. Janine has a college degree, but no matter what she does, she can’t seem to snag a decent job with it. She had a fiancée, but he cheated.
When she runs into a single father who's true to his walk with Christ, will God answer both their hearts’ unspoken prayers and give them the soulmates they’ve both been yearning for?
It was interesting the way this story was told. The first part of the story focuses on Janine who relocated to a new town after having her heart broken by Jermaine who she caught with another man. She gets a job working for a design firm owned by Nate Blackstone. Soon after relocating, Janine’s apartment building has a fire and Nate offers to allow her to live with him. Prior to the fire, Janine had bonded with Nate’s autistic daughter. Soon Nate and Janine are falling for each other. That’s the first part of the book. The next part of the book focuses on Nate’s ex-wife and the mother of his daughter, Tasha. Tasha had cheated on Nate and left him, but when that situation didn’t work out, she came back to town to see if she and Nate could reconcile. When she saw Nate and Janine’s bond, she made it her mission to break them up. I normally do not like when an ex is a villain in the story, but this was pretty good. Also with Christian fiction, I would love it if the villain would be reformed and also fall in love during the course of the story after she/he mends their ways. As it turned out in this story, the villains--Jermaine and Tasha--get their just deserts. The writing was very good and I will be reading more books by this author.
This is the first time reading a book by Nikki Smith. It was inspirational with a lots of suspense and drama. Nate was a wonderful father to his daughter, he was married. and her daughter have autism . Her mother giveaway her parental right and left Mate with the baby. Nate was a struggling business man never have enough money for his wife love style . She met a rich man who she married never know he was doing illegal business so he got busted, and hang himself leaving her with nothing. Upon finding out that Nate made and have a new fiance she plan to break up their lives. Olivia scene until she frame her cousin who plan to kill her but it so happen that they both died and Nate and his fiance married get pregnant . It's beautiful Christian Romance . Read to end for your self
This was a beautifully written story. I'm giving it a solid 4.75 star rating. The reason being, the ending and the things that took place with Jermaine and Tasha just felt so rushed and quick, I wanted more and to see how Janine would react. Also, I don't recall Janine sharing her experience with her ex, but we had Nate spilling all the tea.
The romance was so sweet between Janine and Nate. I loved seeing the two of them grow in romance, even though they experienced some terrible things.
LaVonda was everything -- of course, I read the sequel before reading this book, so I'm biased. I enjoyed seeing her interact and be a good friend to Janine. Lisa was so adorable, and what Tasha did was heartbreaking.
The faith aspects were pretty great as well. Definitely an easy, quick read.

Both Janine and Nate prayed for a mate. Both had been hurt by love. Drama of jealousy and deceit occurs. And that drama breaks Janine" heart. Both have good families and strong faith. But the retribution issued was totally unexpected, and severe. The couple ask for and accept forgiveness to allow love to flourish. The story is packed with excitement and engagement to keep the reader interested. I read this book in one sitting bec it held my attention. First time reading this author but will definitely loom for some of her other works.
Nate and Janine were two people who were believers but not looking for their soulmate but God had another plan for them Even though it was not an easy road to get their God heard their unspoken prayers This was a great story of being covered and having friends in your corner like Vonda for Janine You will find Hope love and mercy and grace in this story If you like to read about these attributes then you will enjoy this story as much as l did Don’t hesitate get your copy today
Never heard of this writer until this book. First off it moved WAY TOO FAST to be believable. Secondly they fell FAST and quick to say she had JUST been engaged to another man. Tasha got off way too easy, Janine seemed more gullible than Godly. Who jumps to conclusions that quickly as a Christian but refuses to hear them out as the Bible says? And thirdly, Jermaine's storyline was preposterous. And Henry is stealing from his firm with no retribution. Glad this was available on Kindle Unlimited.
The story of Nate and Janine was beautiful testament to God’s special gifts. Janine was blessed with the ability to assist those with special needs. What started as a bumpy professional relationship developed into a loving personal relationship. There will always be people willing to steal your joy as evidenced by Tasha. Some of the writing seemed a little “ sugary “ but overall the story was heartfelt.
I am a Christian and a romantic. I am pleased when I come across Christian love stories and fiction. I don’t know much about the author or if this was her first published book. I found it to be very elementary. To top that off, there were many grammatical errors (missing words or wrong words) and mistaken character identity. All tat to say the book was poorly edited.
I plan to read the next book in the series and I hope there are improvements.
I have been reading the author's books since May 2021, and what a dynamic storyteller she has become! The writing that depicts characters that are not without problems from the past. They display the "new man" in Christ Jesus. Her writing has become a ministry. Keep writing and I will keep reading!
I loved that the author didn't have a long drawn out plot. However, I didn't like that as a Christian author she killed the villains. I would rather have seen them caught and punished for their actions. It also didn't bring closure to what they did to Janine and Nate. Otherwise, it was a good story.
I read this book in one day! It was an amazing story. I found myself tearing up at the beautiful relationship that Nate and Janine had with God. They way she helped his daughter was so heartwarming. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author!!!!
This story is a realistic story about people who trust in the Word of God. I read through this story in less than 24 hours due this storyline. Love in this story was captivating.
I liked how the two books came together, but was confused by the fact that Vonda had a brother who helped to clean up the misconstrued video.(Just where was this brother when Vonda needed help)
This was such a beautiful story of God’s amazing Grace. The author didn’t shy away from taboo situations which gave an interesting twist to the storyline. I really enjoyed the positive characters and the journey they had to go through to find each other.
This book of true heart break, love, and hearts desire is a real page turner. The story begins with heart break but shows us what can happen when we walk in God's plan. This is a really heart felt love story.
Excellent read! Multi layered, full of pain, hope, justice and joy! A reminder that God truly answers our unspoken requests and makes all things work together for our good!
This was a great book. I enjoyed the smooth transition into each change of events. It was a great distraction from every day life also I enjoyed how we should look for signs that God sends us the mist of turmoil.
Wow. The twists and turns near the end had my heart beating fast. I am so glad truth and true love always win. Sometimes the victory does not look as expected, but it's still a win.
Two hearts' unspoken prayers. A christian romance story.
Reading this series is a great decision and good reading. My friend will really enjoyed reading this book series. These characters in this story are women who are not having sexual relations until married.
I loved the story line, so much potential. I personally, have a hard time reading colloquial language, and it was overly used, other than that, this was a good story.
First time reading this author and looking forward to more. A nice clean romance, with a little drama. Nate and Janine were perfect for each other (after the ex’s they both had).
This was a light reading with a serious story. The characters were very believable. The story line was something you could believe This is my first book by this author, now I'll finish this series.
