God’s heavenly messengers are everywhere, carrying out His work…spreading His divine mercy…and giving hope to the hopeless. You’ll see His angels at work in the pages of Angels All Around Us through incredible stories shared with Guideposts.
These extraordinary stories will open your eyes to the work of angels being carried out every day. For example…
One summer night a woman wakes form a vivid dream of a man’s hand and a dagger slicing her window screen. A voice commands her to get up and get out. An angel appears in her hallway. Terrified, Vicki listens to the angel’s warning and springs into action. The next day she wonders if it was all a dream…until she hears the news from a neighbor next door. A family is overcome by a deadly rip current…pulled to safety by a young man in a lifeguard-like swimsuit who disappears after the rescue as mysteriously as he appeared. Driving along a dark country road a woman gets stranded with a flat tire. She prays to Jesus to send help. Immediately a stranger in a pickup truck appears out of nowhere.
I liked the book - the subject, stories, etc. It presented a nice variety of possibilities - events, characteristic of angels, sense that any of us could be in similar stories and it was not an 'honor' preserved for just a few. The stories were short, allowing me to put the book down when I needed to without losing the story and rereading the beginning. These were real events with every day people visited by angels that were familiar, or unseen, or mighty angels of faith - an assortment of how angels can appear in many shapes, sizes, etc. I will pass this book on, even though I would read it again, I want to share the experience with others.
I've read many books and lots of accounts in a few favorite magazines of angel appearances. But this more recent book from Guideposts may be my favorite. Truly incredible accounts of angelic encounters.
I absolutely loved this book! It's a great read that really makes you wonder just what really does happen after we pass? I think we go on & still keep an eye on our loved ones & this just confirms that for me!
