A friend from Roatan brought this book for me on their last visit to Tennessee. Publisher's note says it's a work of fiction, but the author mentions in the opening to this collection of short stories that they are inspired by his life experiences. Indeed, many seem to reflect his author's bio on the back.

That being said, his life has been interesting! The book is a slim volume, easily read in a day and I enjoyed most of it poolside - a great place to read tales of island life. My favorite was the longest story "Gladiator." The overall effect of the collection was my dreaming of a trip back to Roatan, so perhaps that was our friends intent! 😉 Great 🎁!
