S Tier Hunter Sa Hyun--a member of HN, one of the world's top guilds--came to see Jeong Yi-Seon.
"I came to scout you, Mr. Jeong."
"Like hell you are, if you're approaching me like that."
"I don't think you know what exactly 'hell' is, but......"
Sa-hyun let out a laugh, looking just as if he were in a painting.
"Let's make a contract, shall we?"
"I'm not interested in any 'contract,' so please stop following me. You're getting..."
"I'll take care of them for you."
"What?"
Still full of laughter, he stared right at him. He was definitely smiling, but his icy eyes still sent a shiver down Yi-Seon's spine. Sa Hyun approached the stiff Yi-seon, one step at a time. Leaning down, he whispered. Whispered in a kind, friendly voice.
"Those corpses that haunt you... I'll take care of them."
this is my second dungeon read after my s-class hunters and yup I LOVE IT. i know some people thought this was boring but as the one who is new to the genre this one was pretty solid and a very fast paced read. very recommended!

Manhwa // this is a beautiful story that uses a fantasy setting to represent grief, survivor guilt and healing so wonderfully and emotionally. Loved it.
Art and story was pretty good and MC was one of my favs too. Glad to see in this story depression doesn't heal instantly✨️though I wish we could see more of ML regreting his past behaviours and spoiling him even more.
I started this after reading a Q&A by the author. Q: "Does Sa Hyun regret? (사현은 후회하나요?)" A: "Sa Hyun is defeated. (사현은 패배합니다)" This is the best one sentence description of this book.

This story deals with heavy themes such as death and grief, survivor's guilt and suicidal thoughts, and loneliness. Honestly I think the author handled these topics delicately and with respect, allowing the characters room to deal with these heavy emotions and heal from them.
Jeong Yiseon (MC) and Sa Hyeon's (ML) relationship started out as a transactional one, with SH having the upper hand. But as they spent more time together, overcame challenges and saved each other's lives, they naturally grew closer and came to care for each other. Although SH's feelings were more calculated and it wasn't until JYS was pushed to the brink of death that SH realised how he truly felt about JYS and that he couldn't live without him.
I liked their relationship dynamic. What JYS and SH shared is nuanced because they were the catalyst for each other's character development and especially for JYS, SH was the one who basically saved him from himself. SH was low-key possessive of JYS and wanted to completely control him, but he was also JYS's strongest protector and always looked out for him. I would say that SH is a good guy with a possessive streak, and he knows what he wants and how to get it so he's also a little manipulative in that sense. However, JYS is also aware of SH's personality and he's also not exactly innocent when it comes to using SH.
Speaking of character development, I appreciated how the author wrote and developed JYS as the story progressed. He had gone through several traumatic experiences and his gradual changes made more sense than a drastic one, and the author also showed that healing and grieving weren't linear, because there were a lot of times where JYS suffered from survivor's guilt and blamed himself for what happened to his friends. It was heartbreaking.
The supporting characters played a key role in JYS's development because they became his new found family and people he could trust. They cared for and about him, and they were very generous with their affection and support. It took a while for JYS to warm up to them due to his trauma but they were always patient with him which I really liked.
Now, when it comes to the plot, I thought it was well written. There was a clear antagonist who drove the story forward, and it wasn't some silly villain. The antagonist had their own motivations and agenda, and their plans were good enough to impede the main characters significantly. The pacing was good too and not once did I feel like a scene could've been cut out.
Spectacular story omggggg. From start to finish it was so fucking interesting holy shit. I wasn't expecting the horror elements nor the serious/psychological plot.
Yiseon's backstory was absolutely tragic; losing his parents first while on a trip with his friends, being left all alone, together, but then losing them too. Jesus fuck. The guilt he felt for using them and not letting them rest in peace just so he could live was so intense and heart-shattering, and he vowed to also take his own life to be with them after he let them rest with the help of Hyeon.
Both Hyeon and Yiseon were using each other: Hyeon was using Yiseon's abilities to overthrow his brother and better Chord's influence and public opinion while Yiseon was using Hyeon's nullification ability to set his friends free and then to kill himself, since he alone couldn't due to his powers. That realization was crazy.
I loved their contrast, both in colors, abilities, and roles. They acted as each other's light, their sun. Hyeon, despite his deep ties to the shadows (both metaphorically and literally) acted as Yiseon's light, who broke the shackles tying him to his past and whose love made him want to keep living, while Yiseon strayed Hyeon from the path of darkness, from the cold vengeance and revenge, and shone the needed light in his life, warmed his heart. I loved them both. Both showed such deep character, and developed so well in the story, but especially Yiseon. It was a whole journey of ups and downs and plot twists, with no plot holes and nice, natural ties to everything. Hyeon had left me confused for some time, as I wasn't sure if he was just using Yiseon or if he truly liked him. Now I know that it was both. He was using him both physically and psychologically to obtain his goal and achieve his vendetta against his brother, but during his pace he fell in love with Yiseon, and finally realized his feelings the moment the light of his life was about to extinguish.
Apart from the romance aspect of it though, the whole manhwa was so fucking cool. I loved the fighting and the 7 chain dungeons. (It showed ancient Greek omg I was freaking out. ONE TIME IT WAS MODERN GREEK THO BRO THAT AINT ANCIENT GREEK- whatever). I adored the team so much. Every time they talked about a future with Yiseon it broke my heart. Love themmmm. Glad they are all friends now and happy. They were so sweet and understanding and badass and were their own characters too which I love.
Idk what else to say. It was amazing. Totally recommend.

I think the MC is the reason why I couldn’t enjoy this story that much. It was an okay read, the plot is pretty interesting but quite depressing (since the theme also focuses on MC’s mental instability due to his traumatic past and guilt). It’s just that, the MC is such a damsel in distress type of character and has no sense of danger outside of the dungeon (thus he always gets himself in trouble and here comes the ML to save his azz). I understand he’s emotional unstable and suffers from PTSD, it’s not really an issue for me even his suicidal idolation, heck I dont even feel sad or anything when he got poisoned by that mf vice president and when he jumped in the water. My main issue is Yiseon could be quite naive and dumb and he tends to bottle up his thoughts/feelings that sometimes it leads to getting him and the people around him in trouble. Not really fond of him but Im glad hes finally able to overcome his fear and let go of his self-guilt and suicidal tendency in the end. It’s not an easy task but Im rooting for him.
I might one of the few people who find the ML the most interesting one. Hyeon is a complex and morally gray character and I eat this kind of sht. Hes also the kind of a red flag that I enjoy reading.
Yiseon and Hyeon relationship dynamic could be really confusing at first and people tend to doubt Hyeon’s feelings for Yiseon. I find Hyeon’s love for Yiseon genuinely but it is not something pure lol. Hes a control freak (it might also due to the nature of his powers and the fact that hes smart and very calculative so thats a given he’ll apply those to his relationship). Hes a possessive one and hes not a green flag ML anyway, but he cares deeply towards Yiseon and he loves him in his own freakish, selfish way.
This is still pretty interesting and as a PJ fan I particularly like all the greek mythology stuff in this story.
This is a super angsty read. Even though its a BL, the romance is definitely more of a subplot than the main story. It gets into some really serious and deep themes without ever falling into the melodramatic or depressing side of things. It's well balanced with the action, the politics of the guild, and the slow burn romance. The MC is an absolutely tortured soul, but in a unique way for once (he's not just buried under a pile of debt and selling his soul to the asshole ML because he has no other choice). Similarly, the ML is a bit of a manipulative asshole, but he's also more than that. He's the perfect amount of unhinged to be fun without being a red flag.
The fantasy universe is a really interesting take on the hunter/dungeon trope, with the unique category of "restorer" thrown into the mix. There's a lot of thought put into hidden powers and penalties for using powers and the interactions of different guilds and factions.
The characterisation is good, but a bit basic at times. The secondary characters are pretty much all just lovely, bubbly people because that's what Yiseon needs when he's so busy being broody and tortured about his past.
The art is good and consistent, although a little cutesy for the subject matter at times. It threw me off a little to see these bubbly hunter characters wearing denim shorts and t-shirts into combat situations, only to turn around and have scenes with Yiseon's undead friends bumping around his house.
Overall, I really enjoyed this. A really polished story that perfectly hits the notes it's aiming for.
Dungeon stories are amazing when written and illustrated so well. It’s sad that just because it’s a shonen ai non BL fans won’t pick it up. This is the first time I read about an awakened character who is not esper/hunte/healer/guide but a non-combat restorationist!
Yiseon, is an interesting character for a MC: haunted by his own choices born out of love. The artist did amazing at capturing the fragile state of a person with suicidal ideation.
Hyeon started as a red flag, turned green only for Yiseon but became a black flag for rest of his enemies. I love a man who will burn the world for their cinnamon rolls.
And all the fellow members of Chord beautiful and given their moments to shine which made the whole comics well balanced to read.
Sadly Manta cut out the juicy bits because of their 15+ rating!
I wish we got to see Yiseon and Hyeon in their peaceful life too after the main story got over.
Now I have to search for the bootleg fan translation of the novel, because I know some subplots were cut out.
0.5 Dropped at ch23 This was so hyped on the social media, i decided to give it a go. Thought it was going to be mind blowing but i wanted to drop it by ch10... sooooo boring, and the mc's power was also boring. The fights had no tension or hype, boring af. And the chemistry between the mc and ml was non-existent and irritating. The art style was fine but a little childish.
