Mitchell Black declares his love for Bailey Nash the moment he sees her.

Everyone might think it’s because of the baseball he just took to the head, but he knows the truth.

It’s not just how hot she is in her nurses’ uniform, or that she’s the prettiest thing he’s ever seen. It’s the lightning bolt he feels every time they touch.

Bailey might be pessimistic when it comes to finding love, but even she can’t deny she feels a connection to the gorgeous guy that just landed in her ER. Until she finds out he’s a player not just on the baseball field, but probably off it too.

Mitchell is determined to prove Bailey wrong, that he can be trusted with her heart, he just has to find her again first.

Between a kleptomaniac cat, interfering families, and overzealous fans, it seems like life is trying to throw Mitchell a few curveballs. But he is an ace when it comes to challenges, and he knows Bailey is going to be the Ultimate Grand Slam.

Until Mitchell is part of Aurora Rose Reynolds's Happily Ever Alpha World. If you loved Until December, then you will want to read Until Mitchell.

4.5 Mitchell and Bailey Stars

I am an avid fan of Aurora Rose Reynolds and her Until series which started with Until November . I read that book years ago , regularly re-read it because it is one of my most favourite 'go-to' novels, and I would absolutely rate the Until Series up there in my Top Series shelf. Unfortunately , many of the spin offs by other authors invited to write in the 'Happily Ever After Alpha' world, have not quite worked for me. Something has just been missing. Until now. (See what I did there? Hee-hee).

Until Mitchell worked for me beautifully. It had all the qualities of ARR's original series and I was hooked from the start.
Insta lust / love? Yes, the 'BOOM' was back.

Great characters, sexy , fun, fast paced, hot alpha guy, witty dialogue , drama , OW that I wanted to yell at , fab secondary characters and gorgeous dynamics. I loved it.

Mitchell is the eldest son of Gareth Black from Until December. He was a sweet kid in that book and now he's all grown up and about to experience the infamous 'Boom' for himself. He's a very likeable hero and although he is not a Mayson family member by blood , he is still very much influenced by them. He's made a name for himself as a Major League Baseball player and crosses paths with Bailey , who is a Nurse , when an injury lands him in the ER.

I thought Bailey was lovely. She isn't a push over but she is sweet, loyal and so family focused. I got increasingly intrigued by her family so straight after I read this book, I read Force which is about Brooke , Bailey's twin. That is part of the Driven World ( Driven K. Bromberg) .

Emma Louise is a new to me author and I am really impressed with her work so I have lined up , Fixed which is Bailey and Brooke's Mum's book and part of the Flawed Love series.
It's a rather heady feeling when you connect the dots between characters and you can read their stories and also when you discover an author who you know is going to be a new favourite.

Great book that provided some much needed romantic escapism.
HEA? Yes, gorgeous.
Cheating? No.

✨Leseempfehlung✨

- i just love how obsessed Mitchell is with Bailey, so wholesome
- as SOON as they started risky photos my anxiety grew, like i knew what the plot was gonna turn to
- i just love how they get through every massive hurdle together, never break up or dint each other because that’s how much they love each other

Why...why...WHY does every book that I've read in this series have some kind of danger happening, usually focused on the heroine? I'm tired of it. 😭 Please please please come up with a different plot device. All y'all are doing a copy and paste of the drama from November's book and it just ain't working.

I love discovering new authors when they write in the Happily Ever Alpha World. Sometimes those authors write a book so good I can’t help but read their backlist. Some authors, I just don’t mesh with their writing. Emma Louise is one of those authors that I instantly looked at her backlist. Mitchell Black is the 3rd generation of the Until World. He is the son of Gareth and December from Until December. He has always wanted what these two have and won’t settle for less. As a professional baseball player, he has a public persona, and when he meets Bailey Nash it’s the boom! However, Bailey has reservations about him. She feels that same connection, but some things happen when they first meet, and she shuts down.

Mitchell is not deterred…it takes him time, and some happenstance, but they come face to face again, and Mitchell is going to do whatever it takes to get Bailey to fall for him. When things begin to happen that are threatening to her life, Mitchell takes charge. These two work really well together, and Mitchell sets all of Bailey’s fears and insecurities straight. He understands and her issues, and they work through them. Now that isn’t to say it is all smooth sailing, and there are moments when they each are boneheaded about some things. However, they don’t allow those moments to derail forward movement.

We of course get little moments of the other characters from the Until World, and it is always wonderful to check in with them. This was a great book, and I am happy to delve into more of the world of Emma Louise, and so excited for this generation of stories!

Mitchell’s parents were a match made in heaven. The minute his dad met December he was head over heels. Mitchell was a bit sceptical about this whole ‘Boom’ Story. But the minute that he saw Bailey Nash, he knew what his dad and uncles meant by the BOOM. All he wanted was to get to know her and be with her and protect her and love her.

Baily Nash was a nurse and she was a bit weiry of men. Especially as her father is a serial cheater. So when she meets Mitchell Black, famous baseball player she doesn’t know if she wants to get involved with him, even if she was infatuated with him the moment their eyes met.

Bailey and Mitchell’s story was a good one. I wanted a bit more suspense and drama. The little suspense we had was good, but the ending of it could have been a bit more exciting 😊 But I loved the romance and the whole dating thing they had going. Even if it took poor Mitchell throughout the book to convince Bailey that she was the one for him and he was in it from the get go. For my second book by this author, I enjoyed it. All in all a good addition to the BOOM Series 😊

Loved it so much! Mitchell and Bailey were perfect for each other and the way Emma blended both the Until series by Aurora Rose Reynolds and her own was perfect! I highly recommend you read this author if you haven’t yet!

This book was surprising to me for just a few moments i actually thought I was reading an Aurora Rose Reynolds Until book. It was that good and I absolutely adore Aurora and her writing and her Until Series and it's a high standard to reach. From the first sight of the boom and the possessive alpha attitude to the danger that Bailey finds herself in. I was engulfed in the pages and loved seeing some of the Until characters come in the picture. My only complaint is I wanted more of that last epilogue!!! And I loved Luanne she was one of my favorites ever!!!! I highly recommend this book!!!

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.

Mitchell meets his BOOM, when he’s brought into the ER, he’s a baseball player who took a ball to the face. Bailey is his nurse. They both feel the instant connection but Mitchell is a bit groggy and can’t remember right away when he sees her again. He tries to find her once he’s released but no one at the hospital will tell him anything. Bailey had gotten burned out in the ER and had moved to a smaller private practice. They finally meet again when her cat steals his phone and he tracks it to her house. Witty banter and flirting leads to plans for a date. They date for a while, sexy times start at their second date and they are pretty much together after that. Mitchell is all in, Bailey is hesitant, her dad made it hard for her to trust guys. Families meet each other and things are going well until a fan says some mean things to Bailey. Mitchell is ready to punch the guy but her dad stops him and tells the guy off. Soon Bailey starts getting threatened letters and pictures, it escalates, Mitchell asks the Maysons for help. No one is able to track this guy, when they leave town he stops, as soon as they return he starts again. Mitchell tries to keep her in the dark to spare her but she stands up for herself and he and the guys tell her what’s happening. Drama when the disgruntled fan kidnaps her, Mitchell almost catches him, and gives chase. Her kleptomaniac cat saves the day, she jumps in the car and attacks the kidnapper causing him to crash. He just wanted Mitchell to concentrate on the game, he was trying to scare Bailey away. Mitchell was not going to give up his boom. I love yous, finding out Bailey’s pregnant, and a proposal. Epilogue with Mitchell back from the injury list playing his first game for the Braves, and Bailey going into labor during the game. Years later with their son playing little league and her pregnant again.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

3rd read July 2024: Still so, so good! Mitchell is a total dream!! ♥️

Re-read July 2023: I’m on a re-reading binge and decided to give this one another go. And I luurrvveedd it ! These ‘BOOM’ books have to most delicious alpha men. *sigh*

Original review:
Ahhh just what I was craving! Another great addition to the Happily Ever Alpha, BOOM series! This one had the feeling of the original series. Mitchell (and Bailey) felt the ‘boom’ as soon as he locked eyes with Bailey. Unfortunately he lost sight of her after their original meeting and it took him a while to locate her again, but once he did, all bets were off! He does whatever it takes to make her his and I love a man who knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. Refreshingly, there was completely no OW and OM drama. Something that doesn’t happen often when there is a famous athlete involved. Bailey also wasn’t a blushing virgin, which I really appreciated. I really liked the suspense woven into the story and the protectiveness it brings out in Mitchell. The spice in this story was seriously hot and had me fanning myself on multiple occasions. Of course we saw plenty of the characters from the other ‘Until’ books (including my favorite of them all: Cobi!). Add a couple cute animals and you have sweet perfection. Mitchell has been added to my book boyfriend list with his unrelenting pursuit, his dedication and obsession with making Bailey his. He is swoooon to the max! Loved this one! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Safety:
No cheating
No OW / OM drama
Kidnapping

Until Mitchell was such a joy to read. I’d been in a huge reading slump but I picked this book up and next thing you know I’m seventy percent through it, my eyes are literally burning because I need sleep but I still didn’t want to put the book down! The only reason I did was because this book deserved my full attention and not my half sleepy brain muddling the words up and forgetting where I just was, or being unable to read properly because my eyes are watering so much. I picked the book back up as soon as I possibly could after waking.

Mitchell is so different from some of the alpha male characters I have read about in the past, his need to claim Bailey as his own shocks him but instead of pushing her away he dives right in, putting everything including his heart on the line because he knows she is the one. He’s all in from the moment his eyes land on her.

Bailey however is more cautious, and understandably so. Whilst she also feels the instant connection to Mitchell it freaks her out a bit, especially after she realises exactly who he is, he has quite the reputation for being a player both on and off the field.

This book is full of humour and heart but it also has some nail biting, edge of the seat, I’d be hiding behind a cushion right now if this had been a movie moments too. It was just what I needed.

Huge Thankyou to Emma Louise for providing an arc for an honest review.

Mitchell Grew Up

I always hesitate to read any stories from Boom Factory's HEA Series that aren't written by Aurora Rose Reynolds herself because I have yet to read one that comes even close to being as good as the originals, that is until now. This is the first book I have read by Emma Louise and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Yes it helped that it was Mitchell from Until December, one of my favorites, but the author did a good job developing adult Mitchell's character while maintaining character traits from ARR's version of him as a teenager. I also like Bailey's character and the chemistry between she and Mitchell was great. The supporting characters were fun, especially Luanne. The issue I had with this book was it was in desperate need of editing. I can look past a few grammatical errors but sadly there were far more than a few and it messed up the flow of the book. More than once Bailey and her sister Brooke's names were swapped making things confusing. There were broken sentences that tripped me up and the time line was all over the place and just didn't add up. Those errors took it from a 4 or 5 star read to a 3. A great story idea just not great execution.

Mitchell Black may have been on a hospital bed surrounded by hospital personnel but luckily for him, he was able to open his one good eye as he caught a glimpse of his future. A beautiful, angelic nurse stared back at him dumbfounded, and he knew then that she was the one who would be by his side forever.

Bailey and Mitchell are a fun couple who fate brought together that day at the hospital. Mitchell is very passionate about his feelings for Bailey, and I loved how confident he was about their future. Their meet-cute surprised both of them and when they met for the second time, they both knew it was the beginning of something special. Mitchell poured his heart out to Bailey and every moment they were together was magical. Their families all got along, her cat liked him, and their days and nights were filled with love and happiness. What could possibly go wrong?

What would happen if Mitchell got called back up to the majors and resumed his busy baseball schedule? Bailey was crazy about him and would miss him terribly if he left Nashville. Was their commitment strong enough to withstand any obstacles that may come their way?

I love the fact that this story is about a child of a previous couple (Until December) who is all grown up, as it feels like coming home again. Mitchell wanted what his parents had, but he'd yet to experience the BOOM! He gets hit in the head by a baseball, and he ends up in Bailey's ER, and the BOOM hit him finally. Bailey is a nurse who has some hangups when it comes to relationships after she watched her father act like he did so Mitchell had his work cut out for him. It only got more difficult when she learned he was famous baseball player who was probably a player off the field as well. Mitchell had a delightful in it to win it mentality, so she really never stood a chance because frankly there isn't a woman who would. If that's not amazing enough, there's a suspense kicker to get the heart rate going and a cat who was just like mine (LOL), so yeah, Until Mitchell ticked all my boxes. I'm trying to keep this review short because it's so much better to just hit those one click buttons vs. reading reviews since I truly believe you'll love it like I did! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Mitchell & Bailey

He'd wanted to feel the boom since he was a kid and saw how the instant love of the boom had hit all the males in his new family. He'd almost given up on it till he spotted the ER nurse across the hall. He was on a stretcher after taking a ball to the head at the baseball game. It was gonna take some recovery time to get back to playing. If she was going to be taking care of him that was just fine. Too bad she wasn't and it was her last day at the hospital. Now he not only had to convince her but he had to find her first.

It's another touching, fun romance in the series. Other series characters show up and are important in the story but never fear if you haven't met them in other books. You'll enjoy meeting them in this one for the first time just as much.

There is plenty of steam, romance, humor, great characters, even some intrigue, and danger. One you'll enjoy from start to finish.

*** ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review ***

I was excited about Mitchell’s story and I couldn’t wait to see when he was gonna meet his boom!
If you have read Until December, you know that he is Garett’s son and I was curious about his grownup version.

Mitchell saw how his father went through and finally found his boom and wasn’t settling for less. The moment he saw Bailey, he knew that overwhelming feeling wasn’t unreal and totally went to the flow. No questions asked. It took only one baseball to the head to find it.

Bailey wasn’t ready to meet Mitchell. Trouble with a capital T for her heart but definitely good for his. Little did he know that she was a spitfire and keeping him on his toes when he was just acting like a caveman. They fell fast and they didn’t beat around the bush.

It was a swoony, sweet story with a hint of suspense. I enjoyed reading Bailey and
Mitchell’s story.

December's stepson Mitchell didn't believe in the boom until he has an injury and is sent to the hospital. When he opens his eyes and feels the electric connection with his nurse Bailey. Even though she felt something too she knows men like Mitchell, a famous baseball player, is not meant to stay faithful. As luck and the boom will have it, their paths cross again and this time Mitchell is not going to make it easy for her to walk away again.

Oh how I love seeing all the kid's finding their booms! Bailey is from this author's book Fixed. She is one of Elliott and Duke's daughters. I highly recommend reading her other books. Loved seeing Bailey putting her birth father's indiscretions aside to trust Mitchell. And I absolutely loved seeing the Mayson family coming together. Another fantastic addition to the Until saga!

This was such a swoony read! Mitchell is an amazing book boyfriend. He is so focused on Bailey, he doesn't see anything else but her. Things were initially a little rocky considering Bailey doesn't want anything to do with a player like Mitchell. While it might have seemed that way, it wasn't the way he operated any longer. He was ready for something serious. Once he finds her, he doesn't waver. It takes Bailey a bit to trust in him and herself. One of the best parts of this story is seeing Duke and Elliott again! When Bailey attracts a stalker it ramps up the tension to a fever pitch and puts another stressor onto the couple. I didn't want to put this book down, it kept me up late but it was worth every yawn! Ten stars for this stellar couple!

I loved it when a guy just knows that the BOOM has happened to him and he took it. And Mitchell did know it and he immediately took a chance. Although it was hard at the beginning because he was a bit loopy and was in the hospital when he first laid eyes on Bailey. But fate brought them together when her cat stole his phone. It was an immediate attraction between them but Bailey needs more convincing though as she hadn't had it easy and the fact that she thought he was a player did not out him in the best light. But Mitchell's more than ready for her and to make her fall in love with him. I absolutely loved their story. It was so sweet and romantic but also has a suspense plot too when a stalker situation happened.

Oh my! I knew when Mitchell got his story, it would be a good one!

Bailey is Mitchell's 'BOOM' that he has been waiting for since he was told about it as a kid. Bailey is still adjusting to living in Tennessee. She surely wasn't planning on the handsome patient with a concussion and loads of promises.

GAH!! I absolutely adore Bailey and Mitchell's story! I have loved Mitchell since he as a kid. And his 'BOOM' is as epic as it should be. I loved every second of their journey. From the suspense to the passion to the crazy cat. I loved every single word. This author did Mitchell's character justice. It was perfection and an absolute MUST READ! 5 stars!

I enjoyed Until Mitchell so much! Until Mitchell is part of The Happily Ever After series and features the second genertion from Emma Louise‘s Flawed Love series.

Bailey and Mitchell‘s story is insta love. Their meeting feels like kissmet as they meet while an injured Mitchell is transported to Bailey‘s work.
A while later they meet again thanks to Bailey‘s cleptomanic cat.

I would‘ve loved this story to not be instalove and give the characters a bit more time to get to know eachother but after all Until Mitchell is a great palett cleanser for in between books.

I absolutely loved this book. It was great to see some of the originals. I couldn't put book down once started.

I loved Mitchell and Bailey together, they meet whilst his in the hospital from an injury. The BOOM happened. They are great together, Mitchell spoils Bailey but also wants to keep her safe. Bailey is hesitant because of her past. But they are perfect for each other.

I can't wait for more.

I love being in the HEA world! We get all sorts of drama, danger, sometimes a tad bit of violence, an over the top alpha is a must and of course some hot naughty bits. Mitchell and Bailey's story was everything that a reader would want from that world. Mitchell had the perfect amount of alpha, while Bailey proved that she was not the type of woman that a man can just run over. I enjoyed everything about this story and give it 5 stars.

Mitchell learned about the BOOM, when he was 16. At 26 it hits him in the ER, when he spots ER nurse Bailey Nash. Unfortunately she disappears, when they meet again they know it’s something special.

I love how Mitchell puts his all into wooing Bailey. They’re adorable together. Add in a crazy cat, some suspense, and the BOOM and you have a wonderful story.

Until Mitchell is everything I wanted and more. It’s sweet, fun, and romantic.

Loved it!

I absolutely loved Until Mitchell. Bailey and Mitchell's chemistry is off the charts! It's surprisingly love at first sight for Mitchell when he first sees Bailey, when he finally finds her again the most unusual way, their attraction and feelings for each other ignite. Emma Louise hit their doors out of the park! A definite must read!
