Well, I had great expectations for this one.
I thought it will be a really dark story, but it turns out to be a sweet one...
It's good though, I really enjoy it.
Brynn is crazy and super fun but it went on soft for Dr. Dick too soon.
Dr. Dick I thought he was a soft Dom, I don't know, the story began so addictive but I've lost it something in the way. Maybe the expectations were too high...

I could not put this down, the characters are amazing and I loved them. Bryan is insatiable and will do almost anything her heart desires she is a full on firecracker and with one lonely Dom Dr. Richard is determined to help her in any way he sees fit.
The connection and attraction is explosive and I loved the most you never knew what Brynn was going to say or do next keeps you on your toes to the last page with loads of yummy punishments.
I'm in love with this story and it's one I will not forget any time soon.

Still reeling after staying up late reading this book. Even from the very unexpected start of the book to the short epilogue I couldn't put the book down, literally. Intriguing relationship dynamics between Dr. D and Brynn make for an explosive, though predictable, very satisfying story. Ms. Wallace puts you through your paces and leaves you begging for more.

Wow! There is just so much to love about this story, I don’t even know where to begin! Brynn is a young woman with a very troubled past and present. When she does something that puts her in trouble with the law, she is sent away to get therapy. But the therapy they want to give her is not what she needs. Until Richard shows up to take over. And boy, does he take over! He is instantly enamored with her and feels a protectiveness if which he has never felt before. Can he help Brynn to believe in herself again? While this is a short story, it definitely packs quite a bit into the pages. And the chemistry between then? Absolutely chart topping, sizzling and sexy! These two have much more in common than you think and I found that they are perfect for each other. A definite must read!!

A shi ton of bdsm. The beginning could be seen as iffy and the dude was mad at the mc for no reason. Didn’t like that. It was very irrational, since he didn’t explain himself and he’s the reason everything happened. Consent comes off iffy at first but it gets better later after safe words are introduced.

A riveting story that I just couldn’t put down; Release Me had so many moments throughout that blew my mind. The controversial relationship between Brynn and Dr Richard was electric and spicy hot - their chemistry sizzled throughout, leading to some of the hottest scenes that I have ever read. Five HOT stars.

I'm not a fan of BDSM, but this sounded interesting so I decided to give it a try. I liked the beginning, but I started disliking it when they introduced the playroom. Whenever there's mention of a playroom, my mind immediately goes to that video of James Corden and the guy from 50 shades playing with trains and I can never take it seriously. And I discovered that I don't like when the guy has all the knowledge and experience. She had experience with sex but not submission. It felt like he had the upper hand the whole time and I didn't like it. There was only one book I liked with bdsm elements in it and it was because even if one person was more dominant, they both held the same amount of power, they were equals where it mattered and they were both into it, not because one of them liked it rough, but because they both craved what the other had to give. Here I always felt like he held all the power, while she had none. She didn't seem to have much choice at all. They were playing because he wanted it, and her liking it was a plus, not necessity.
And the stuff that happens before end was totally unnecessary and added nothing to the story.

This is one of those books you want to be over as fast as possible.
I didn't like it. I don't recommend it . And I certainly don't want to even think of how many things went wrong with this book. I wont even begin to describe them.
There is no story, at least in my eyes there is nothing worth writing about. There is no knowledge of the lifestyle. There is no intuition of how a Dom should be or act or even hold himself right. Do not get me started about the sub. I wont even go there.
Throwing some terms around doesn't make it ok honestly. It makes me angry really. The characters are broken for sure , undeveloped, rushed and there is nothing worst than that. The whole thing felt like putting words together mostly to shock the reader than actually make a point. And it wasn't even a shock. Sadly
Its purely emotionless and flat. Clearly the author doesn't feel enough so she can pass it to her readers.

I had no problem with the subject matter but the tone and delivery did not sit right with me. Specially the minimization of the FMC's crime.

Whoa.. okay when I say I want a dark smut novel, THIS is what I’m talking about. 🥵 I don’t even have the words to describe what I went through while reading this, but holy Jesus.

In comes Dr. Richard that will take her on a healing journey. It’s not for someone who wants a lot of plot and character development but if you are after someting quick and steamy, you might enjoy this one.
