Having read M. C. Kennedy's first book in this series, The Wolf's Rose, and knowing that I liked her work, I happily subscribed to her email list and received this free ebook.
It's an interesting back story that provides an introduction to the world of A Wolf's Rose. I know A Wolf's Rose is a retelling of Red Riding Hood and Beauty & the Beast, and I'm wondering if this story is a retelling of another one? Hint: But regardless if it was, I enjoyed it without having to know that. Cian, just from what this little story tells me of him, seems like a fun character and it kinda makes me wish we got to see him in A Wolf's Rose.
So overall, I'm glad I got to read this little backstory!
