I knew that there would be no winners in the game we were playing, but no longer did I care about winning or losing. I only cared about having her for myself
Antoni:

She ruined everything.
This young girl who had bluffed us all, who had the balls to threaten the Don of the most powerful family in Melbourne.
I knew that I had to make an example out of her, to prove that no one could threaten The Family and get away with it.

I knew that I needed to figure out who she was and what she was up to.
So far, I only knew two things - she was dangerous in a way that I didn’t quite understand,
and that I had finally met my match.

Rome:

My temper-fuelled outburst piqued his interest.
In my position, that meant danger.
Me and my girls had clawed our way up from the bottom, and we were taking over whether they liked it or not.
Now, I had to get close to him in order to throw him off our trail.
I had to make him believe that I was just the naive little dancer that he thought I was.

Antoni Santino may have been the King of our city’s criminal underground,
but it would be a cold day in hell before I ever bent the knee and submitted to a man.
No matter who he was.
Let him underestimate me - he didn’t know what I had planned.

Wicked Tricks is book one in the Underground Royals series but can be read as a complete standalone.

This is a spicy, enemies-to-lovers, dark mafia romance - it contains mature language and content, and is not suitable for those under the age of 18.

Antoni was one of the weakest, least alpha type hero I’ve read about.

WOW this book was just so good - if you love mafia genre like I do then this book is for you ! Ms Scott is a new author for me and I am going into stalker mode !

Wicked Tricks can be read as a standalone but it is part of the Underground Royals !

The Cover , Characters and Chemistry did it for me ! How interesting the setting is Australia somewhat unusual for a mafia setting !

Highly recommend this read and I can’t wait to check out more of this series when it is available ! . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The h was the cliché "bad bitch"(I was expecting for her to pull the leather jacket and the bike, and it would be the "extreme" cliché).
She was crass, loud, and had such "bad bitch" ego that she decides to treat the Mafia Don and worst, the H was such a p*ssy that she got away with it, and it was love at first sight!

He found his balls somewhere, but only to have the h "carrying them is her purse" case in point the epilogue!

Almost DNF, read another book in between.
Only finished because had a long commute and was the only book available in my reader.

This was a great mafia / criminal based book where the woman doesn't take cr*p and we need more of that. Antoni was a great "Don" for the family that he never wanted to take over, not what you're expecting at all.

Rome was the perfect kick a$$ FMC that we all need more of.

The chemistry was perfect, and had me wanting more, and yet it was perfectly paced. Lovely twist there to get to the end.

This is the first mafia romance I've ever read and I wasn't sure what to expect. Kudos to author Ivy Scott who kept me turning the pages right until the end. The last chapter had me intrigued, and she ends it perfectly with a great lead into book two where now I want to read Ren and Val's story.
Hurry up, please!!

Antoni had to make an example out of Rome, threatening the Don was not a good idea, but Romes not some meek girl she one with a plan and no matter the way her body feels she will get to see it through. Well written fast paced engaging desire filled  suspense steamy and more!

Enjoyable

I loved loved the beginning of this book. Badass heroine and a book bf who is good to her from the beginning. Then she was a mess. And the ending was a disappoint, hardly any action. With that being said, I will be reading more by this author…

I thought it was really great. The characters were complex and like-able, the chemistry palpable and I read it in a day so obviously it was readable. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone who likes romance or the mafia genre in general.
